Very happy here in CA after 150 days without rain. It poured last night and will continue on and off through the next week. Our people who have had to live through the fires will finally get a break. Tomorrow is our Thanksgiving, gratitude for this rain tops my list. I am also grateful for your generosity, sharing yourself and your life with me these past few years. Colette.
There's nothing wrong with your home, I think it's beautiful and your garden is amazing. Never mind what other people think - it's your home. As you said Jack is in nearly every frame I was thinking he's watching your every move!
It's Thanksgiving Eve here in the USA, and I want you to know that I'm thankful for your generous presence here on RUclips. Your videos are always inspiring. My best to you, Colette, and Jack as we approach the Winter Solstice!
We are a lot alike when it comes to shelves. I just can't get enough. I have them all over my home. I think they give a warmth and a reason lol, to find more goodies to put on them. I love how you have yours spread through your home and also the way in which you hang them with other items on the walls. It's always fun to watch you move things and redecorate certain areas of your home!
That was just what I needed to spur me on to tackle the various jobs that have been weighing on my mind. It makes me feel good to see someone getting things sorted, so after my coffee that I brewed to watch your video, I’ll be getting to it. Thank you for sharing and I always love to see “our boy “ who always reminds us to have a light heart while we do whatever it is we choose to accomplish. He really is the best. ❤️
Your place is soooo beautiful & peaceful. I love the sounds of the birds. I so appreciate the birds now, because of your kind videos & making me aware of my surroundings even in the city now!!!. Thank you.... Blessings always.🤩
Great projects...clever change on the lamp. Lovely curtains, they make your room feel so cozy. As usual, you inspire me to get out even in the cooling weather and get on with some needed projects. Thanks for the tour and pleasant discourse. Love to you and Jack.
I can only imagine you setting up studio lighting in each room in order to film your home as if it were a movie set. Maybe if someone where doing a documentary of Bealtaine. But why on earth would you need to have all the lights on otherwise? Geez. People. I'm always shaking my head with some of the comments they leave. The beauty of the cottage is the candles burning and the natural light coming from the windows. That's more appealing than obnoxious artificial light. The bedroom curtains are perfect! Give Jack a hug for me. And Happy "American" Thanksgiving to you! =)
Your home, land, mirrors your soul ,it's alive, beautiful, nature's heartbeat, love, colour, humour, artistic, fun, warmth ,sooo cosy,Jack exudes peace and love, wonderful richness in your lives and so much gratitude and appreciation you have for everything surrounding you,you soak it all in,how wonderful you share with us ,thankyouX
Your new curtains are beautiful! Simply perfect. The two lamp lamp is mystical. Love your cottage, Colette. Now you can sit back with a cup of tea and enjoy the fruit of your labors. 👍🦋
I just LOVE those curtains. I am a big fan of sheer, gauzy curtains at the window. I guess that material you used is what we would call in America a good quality cheesecloth? Muslin here isn't nearly so sheer. Love it! And love that lamp and all of the candles. Looking forward to seeing what you do with that beautiful piece of fabric you picked up.
Hello to u and jack! The number one thing i love about your cottage is your pre-loved decor. All the stories they tell in there energies is much more fascinating than new items. It gives u a enveloped welcoming that new just doesnt have; kind of like a warm hug from your grandma. I lquite enjoy the natural lighting as well, much better than the harsh stark lighting u find in most homes. Your home is beautiful, it welcomes u in. Best of luck on your crafting im sure they will all turn out amazing! Have a very blessed evening sweet lady!
"This isn't a Hollywood movie set." 😂😂😂 The new curtain is lovely. I like the way white shear curtains diffuse the light. Blessings to you and Sweet Jack!
Yes...net curtains...and yet I have two. Reluctantly until I can replace them with something else. Dust gatherers. As to the darkness, how else would we be able to appreciate the warm glow of low lights and candles, fairy lights and festive decorations? See what I mean about appreciating the light more when it's darker? Love that lamp! Your home looks so cosy and welcoming. Doing the little jobs in winter makes total sense. I always get a 'spring cleaning' energy in the winter and NEED to do stuff indoors because I just can't do much outdoors....unused, that energy makes me grumpy. :D Love the garden tool shelving.
Just rolling out of bed and thought I'd take a quick look for you and I am so happy I did! What a great video. Wishing you and Sir Jack a wonderful evening. ❤️
Blessings x Lovely video, I'm just learning the Wheel of the year and our blessed mother earth. My granddaughter was born on the Winter Solstice, 21st December 2017. I'm tired of the commercialism of 25th December, back to nature, homemade crafts and appreciation of the seasons. Love and light 💖💖💖
You and I must be on a similar wavelength, Colette, as I am planning to make muslin curtains for my bedroom. I am always delighted when you post a new video. It is such a treat to see what is happening at Bealtaine Cottage. Love to you and Jack.
I'm totally in love with your lamp.. it's beautiful 💕 Loving your bedroom curtains and new shelves you've put up. Your cottage is beautiful and cosy. Blessings to you and Jack.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the States and every year I make a list of everyone and everything I'm thankful for. This year I am happily adding you, and Jack, and Bealtaine to my list. Blessings Colette, for you and Jack.
Loved your Video of today. I am preparing for yule, too, cleaning and sorting. And I still have some gifts to prepare:hats and gloves to knit. I love this time of year when eventually everything seems to slow down and a stillness takes over, inside of me and around me . Yesterday I started preparing my little balcony garden for winter and inspired by you used all the cuttings from pruning for my potts as a frost protection and leaves for the soil as fertalizer. See if we can have a bit of permaculture on a city balcony...it is amazing how Jack and you seem to be with us "visitors" in our every day life . Thanks for the inspiration and,as always, much love.
It's good to get the little tasks done, keeps everything ticking over. I love these afternoons when I close the curtains and watch your video's. 💓to you and Jack.
I love all you have been doing in the cottage, it's looking lovely! I've been meaning to put up some muslin too - much nicer than 'nets'! I love how you keep to natural materials throughout. The lamp is gorgeous too. Thank you for sharing it with us. Blessings to you both.
That's great advice because we've had so much rain it puts me off getting things done in the garden. I still have a lot of new daffodil bulbs and some tulips to plant up in pots, but the rain has put me off going out! I know though, once I'm out there, no matter how dreary I usually love it, love the fresh air. Now I DID keep busy the past few days working on a giant batch of Hedgerow Jam! Have you ever made that Colette? This year it has elderberries, hawthorn, black currants, rosehips, rhubarb and lots of crabapples and some bilberry juice I had left from jam last year. I'm experimenting with making it without sugar, but used only dates to sweeten, also using cornstarch to thicken. We'll see how it sets but it just tastes marvelous now in it's syrupy state!! I know you like Whole Food Plant Based too so thought I'd mention it. I hope it turns out well and sets. Your sheers look great, I like the new bedroom layout, absolutely love the lamp with the stars!! And good job hanging all those little shelves up, it's looking really tidy around the cottage! Warm wishes to you from me.
We're enjoying some substantial ☔here in No Calif. Much needed. Putting me in hibernation mode. But reminds me of the first winter after discovering Bealtaine Cottage, and how you couldn't keep me indoors with all the plantings I was doing even in the rain. Blessings on ye and he. ✨✨✨💫🌧🌧🌧🌧
Love the muslin curtain! And that lamp with the night light in the base is a dream come true! I enjoy the tours of your home as much as the tours of your garden. Though it is an American holiday, I wish you, Jack, and all at Bealtaine a Happy Thanksgiving!
Greetings from northern Poland!!. . . .I love all your do, in the cottage, in the garden / woods, a very inspiring and amazing woman. I'm originially from South Wales (Grandparents from Southern Ireland) so love your soothing voice, the nurturing atmoshere of the cottage, adore the every day naturalness, thank you all that you share with us, very much appreciated and of course, much love to 'the boy', sweet Jack xxxx Looking out for something pretty and homemade for you from this far corner of Europe. Jude XXxx
I agree accomplishing small tasks can result in a feeling of well being and satisfaction. Love the small pieces you found in your shed. And the muslin curtains are wonderful. Blessings
A quiet time to reflect and as you say do the little things I am very much at a crossroads in my mind but slowly and hopefully the mist will lift taken care and thank you 💐
Can’t believe you still have sweetpeas & geraniums flowering. It must be very warm where you are. Lovely idea with the muslin, have only ever thought of it as under nappies ( showing my age!) & jelly bags. I do like your lamp lamp what an ingenious idea. Shame we can’t find Michael’s creations over in England. Very wet & muddy here, so have been sorting out next years saved seeds. Don’t overdo it you have been very productive today, blessings ❣️
I really dislike Net curtains also! The lamp is so magical and the curtains are lovely. You did make me laugh about not enough light. Blessings to you both.
Thank you for the tour. We spend so much time in our garden and allotment that I do enjoy spending time indoors at this time of year, and enjoying my home ❤
Hi Colette. Lovely video. I have been looking around my home and have only found one thing that I've bought new. Like yourself,I prefer to get stuff that has been used by someone else and try to put my own mark on it. Always broke🙄but I don't feel deprived at all. Hi Jack, you are so good.

Hey Thank you for sharing your "wee wonders". I too like to potter about my home doing a bit of this and some of that..... Love your curtain and serendipity as I was just considering doing the same. Lovely peaceful time. X
Everything you’ve been working on looks beautiful, Colette. Love the covers/drapes you made for kitchen cabinets & love the color blue on the front door. 👍😊
Those curtains have inspired me to get rid of my nets and replace with muslin.. I love your videos Colette. Blessings from Albany, Western Australia where we are heading into a hot, dry, summer.
Dear Colette , synthetic curtains are awful , i have to be able to look into nature , otherwise I feel locked up . That’s why we have not had any curtains for 26 years . Thank you again for sharing your day with us. ps I really long to live in Ireland when watching your winter videos especially. Our weather is quite similar much of the year here but the heavy frost and damp cold has put to sleep virtually every blossom...your sweet peas are so beautiful- really enjoyed them! Blessings :)
Very lovely & warm! I have used my beloved washboard for a many year when needed for a quick wash. So handy & quiet a good work out for my jiggly arms that have just appeared!
Thank you so much for another lovely video! If I can make it, I would rather make it than buy it. Sometimes, not always cheaper but usually so much better. Blessings to yourself and Jack!
We use white Christmas/Fairy lights around the apartment to bring light to the nookes and crannies, My father is sending you a Collage for Christmas, He loves what You/Goddess have created together love you !
I love muted lighting myself. Thanks for the book which arrived here in Wales this morning. It will be my guilty secret ...reading on Sunday! Best wishes.
Charming. The weather here in North Central New Mexico is similar; typical yet some how unexpected and fore-boding. I've spent the day making pumpkin cheesecake pie and apple cake for tomorrow's thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a United States holiday and I think Canada does it too. where people get together and eat too much. It has turned into another corporate captured rabid consumer driven horror show much like Christmas, wrapped in god and country and lining the pockets of the rich. Is Yule and mid-winter the same?
Egon schiele on your wall....he is, to steal a phrase from Shakespeare's Juliet, the god of my idolatry. Even more than the paintings, I do love the drawings. He could communicate more with one line marking, than many eloquent speakers over years. I've stood in front of his painting of Paris von Gütersloh, for literal hours, just staring and feeling like a silly elvis fan.

You have been really busy indeed! What are the other houses? Are they neighbours? The pieces of the bathroom are lovely, they're my favourite.

I am sorry to hear that. I've recently lost a much-loved cat too. I keep forgetting that I no longer have to quickly close outside doors behind me.
So sorry to hear.... Tammy
Patricia Justice I’m so sorry. When my cubby passed away at age 19 I mourned and still mourn for him. Sometimes I see him out of the corner of my eye

How old is Happy boy?your home beautiful. Tyffany lamps and smoll selwes and candelabra ceramic. And all.
