Being forced to use stairs all the time does get tiring! BUT!!!... realizing the years of exercise is probably what keeps me semi-active! And here's a quote from a dear friend about emotional highs & lows: "Own your feelings & be honest with yourself, & give your thoughts to the Lord." ❤️🌹 * Looking forward to more videos! 🤗☕
Hi Margaret: I'm trying to come from a place of gratitude, and sometimes, it's challenging. I always strive to give a vibe of positivity, at work, especially. My supervisor told me I bring "a sense of peace and calmness" when I'm there, which is quite often the opposite of how I'm feeling on the inside. I'm polite and encouraging to my co-workers and other staff, because I feel we're all there to work and pay our bills, after all. I make an effort to turn things around for the positive..it's a process, I'm trying. Hope you're staying safe and well; that coral pink is lovely on you! Thank you for all you do for us. Rosemarie 💖
Thank you for this very timely talk! I'm floundering after the recent death of my husband, and the suggestion to give every day a purpose was a light bulb moment. Don't worry about planning the next month, year, or even week. Just today. Inspiring!
Hi Margarita, I am retired and I am 81 years old. I start my every single morning with a prayer 🙏. I thank GOD FIRST. Ones I do that everything is just wonderful. I am a very active person, I dance every day about 30 minutes, all by myself. You take care, I ❤️ your RUclips videos 🌹
We have just come out of 4 months of lockdown and I am going out for the first time as I have a hair appointment. I haven't had my hair done in 20 weeks, and it looks so terrible, it really is the thing that will get me out the door today as I'm seeing my sisiter tomorrow in what feels like forever. I am so excited to see her. I am nervous about going out but excited too. So, today is going to be a great day as I'm getting my hair done and thank God, we are out of lockdown.
Good evening Margaret. I would greet my customers at work, as I would a guest. And wish them a splendid day when finished helping, waiting on them, ... When the back end of my van fell out, I did say OMG thank goodness it was before we pulled out on the highway. Don't go to bed angry, upset, or sad if you can help it. Sometimes If it is meant to start a healing process. My daily purpose. Devotionals, pet care, meals, dishes, checking in on sm to day good morning, than the noon responsibilities, and so on. I do need to work more on moving myself. I work crossword puzzles, sodukos, ... Snapchat, messenger chat, fb w friends, kids n grandkids. Watch RUclips vlogs. Pay bills, support some of my friends businesses. Help since less fortunate others. And pray for others. Wishing everyone a lovely evening. 😍
I loved this lovely reminder of these wonderful things to make your day and those who cross your path, a little brighter. Your videos are so heartwarming and I genuinely appreciate your openness and joy.
Hi from Alberta, Canada! I’ve been watching your channel for several months I enjoy my time with you so much! I recently turned 60, and even though I am generally a positive person, watching you renews my passion in live. You are a beautiful person and someone I appreciate so much! Take care!
Thank you so much Margaret. A few weeks ago had an ACTUAL flat tire in Pulgia! Many hours of waiting for emergency car rental service which never came. Local lovely man and several of his friends finally sorted us out. Had to sit for hours in a beautiful spot waiting for rescue. Ha, this was the best part of the holiday among nature and the kindness of strangers.
PTL Margaret…as always; excellent attitude. Exercise is a tool. Attitude is always a good resource worth protecting, guaranteed to help when used as a gift; thank you for sharing ❤️🎁🌹!
Meditating, intentions, making sure I nourish myself well and dress with comfortable style (cultured bohemian? lol). These are my super powers. I don't let being 75 or having RA take away my powers, and I keep a safe distance from emotional vampires. Cheers, Margaret!
Thank you for those lovely tips. I try to practice them daily. I often try to find things that I am grateful for it always puts me in a good mood doing so. I try to read the bible I do it in a way in which I let it fall open to whatever page it likes and I read it so its like a message from God. I try to do mild dancing around the house while I do the house work and I walk the dog some days. I try to meditate and listen to good mood music. I like bohemian style clothes and decor that makes me happy too.
@@lynn642 I am so blessed to have my own little home and a rental property (I built a tiny house 5 yrs ago). Also, finally getting a monthly infusion that works and doesn't make make me feel sick. All the others did. Try to stay positive, wish I could help:)
Hi Margaret Thanks for your inspirational videos I look forward to them they have really enriched my life. I go for a walk in the afternoons it's free and and I feel better it Plus volunteering at the soup kitchen is great to Thanks Bless
Love this channel. I’m 57 and so inspired. I finally after having twins 22 years ago at a pound and a half corrected my emergency c section with a tummy tuck , lipo on thighs and flanks and a boob reduction and lift . It takes courage to do a five hour surgery. But I did it for me. I’ve been doing everything medical for tuneup during covid , now zoom for work and reset my life by moving to south bend from Chicago where I grew up. Even rejoined a temple. It’s true that being positive helps.
I make jewelry and donate to charity thrift shops in California and Arizona. Plus when someone compliments jewelry that I am wearing (mine) I often offer it to them (strangers) and most of the time they gladly accept. Interesting and fun. Thank you Margaret for your channel. Thank you again for reminding me of what's important and how I can look after myself and reach out to others. It is by giving that we receive. Love your posts.
Hi Margaret 💗 very motivating MSG 1 st I must say I love how positive you are, even I would love to dress well n wear asceesories chain and pearl earrings I learn from you just enjoy your life everyday💕🌹💐🎊💖
What a beautiful set of suggestions, Margaret 🧡. I do practice some of these, but it's always great to have all these options framed this way. The only challenge I sometimes face is a sudden paralysis of action when a low point hits, am working on that. Thanks a lot
Lately I've noticed myself responding "not bad" when someone asks how I am doing instead of good or fine. It's not the most positive response, but it's closer to the truth. Perhaps truth is not all it's cracked up to be... especially since I am noticing myself saying it and it not feeling that great.
Hi Margaret, whenever I am feeling below par, I search your videos for a lift, and sure enough you have a remedy. You are Amazing lady full of knowledge. Thank you .
Hello Margaret! How are you today? I'm wonderful! Especially after hearing your Five Easy Steps to Feeling Great Everyday. The things that stuck out to me the most are Have a daily purpose, Move and Invest in Others. I receive your daily newsletter and it has been a total blessing to me because when I turned 60 (I'm 67) I thought it was a time to get in my rocking chair and stop living. That's not what the 60s are all about and I'm glad that I found your newsletter and your RUclips channel (I just found that a couple of weeks ago).
Hi Margaret first of all A getwell soon from Malta to Grateful Deb wish she soon get well! lovely video. When I go out to do my errands I always pop to my chemist or grocer or butcher and ask them if while I am out if they need something I can get for them. All of them appreciate it. It makes me so happy .
I love your videos! I did that on Friday! I did three jobs the other teachers were avoiding to do, for example I created a pamphlet for our program. I collected the emergency cards and put them in our fire drill board, I created a white board schedule for a classroom!! I felt like I did my job on Friday!
Elevators tend to make me claustrophobic, so I always try to take the stairs, when physically possible. And, it benefits me physically, as well as emotionally & mentally. I love your videos-you may think what you’re saying is just common sense, but we all need reminders, sometimes, so thank you 😊👍🏽.
Hello Margaret, apart from the great advice, I also wanted to say that the frosted eyeshadow in the center of your eyelids really lights up your eyes today 👌
I always feel a little more connected watching your videos. I haven't worked since Covid shut everything down. Luckily I have retirement income but I miss the camaraderie at work and I've lost friends and family over disagreements about masks and vaccinations. I'm for it and they're against. I can't understand why people don't want to protect their's and other people's lives.
Sometimes being too ‘upbeat ‘ isn’t mindful lots of people having a bad day ! Some would say to be genuinely interested not just hi you ok yeah I am fine scenario ! If you can spare 5 mins ! That makes a huge difference ! 💫
I have a friend who has been through a lot of things so I understand when she always answers "ok" when asked how she is doing. People always say to her "just Ok?" and then she gets upset when they say that. I bite my tongue not to say "just Ok?" to her but not sure what to say to her. Any ideas?
I would make eye contact, nod in agreement, then tell her a whimsical version of something that had happened to me. Giving someone space to choose is kind.
I've stopped saying I'm ok when asked, I now smile and say I'm good enough! If someone tells me they're ok, I smile and say I hope that's good enough. Enough said. lol
Love ur recommendations. Maybe have unique issue: Alone & on limited income; daughter has 5 kids w/paid helper but she relies on me to do drop off & pickups regularly. I also do bbsitting for her & I enjoy time w/2 lil ones but I ask to be compensated too as it helps pay towards gas & maintenance bills. I dread asking..she tells me grandmas don’t charge. In my old middle income neighborhood, grandmas were honored & paid for watching just 1 young grandchild. I get thrown under bus in front of her husband & kids that she pays me well. Usually its $150. a mo and that goes somewhat up or down or nothing occasionally. It has set me back, emotionally. Help.
i believe the Lord takes care of us grandmas when we cheerfully help without being paid. If we have to ask for financial help, that should be separate from doing things with & for the grandkids. ❤️🌹
If you can't afford to look after your grandchildren without payment, don't do it. The resentment might be sensed by the children. Great relationships can't be formed.
Or instead of playing along in this conversational obligation, tell them how you are *really* doing. "I'm so bored. I don't know what to do with my day." Maybe they will offer some useful advice. Maybe they know a group you might like to join.
