    I'm fairly certain putting the controller into tournament mode (holding down the profile button on the back while also holding down the triangular setup button in the front) disables the trigger adjustment function for as long as it is active, which would negate the issue of accidentally doing that mid-match. Only got mine yesterday tho so you might wanna check up on that rq

    I have this pad. It's pretty good, I love the flat dpad thing. Really smooth on the thumb. Hotashi mentioned having to master the flat pad thing but i personally didnt have that issue. It is accurate for me. If i ever miss an input, i would have missed that input on any other controller -- nothing really to do with the pad.
    Pros: Quality (not amazing but better than anything else out), Flat Dpad thing (for me) and the look/feel.
    Cons: Software is kinda bad, Bottom buttons are annoying And Price. Also, some people complain about the position of the flight pad buttons but that wasn't an issue for me.
    If you have the money to spend, then i'd suggest it. But if its too expensive, then id suggest the Hori Octa. It's basically the same thing for half the price.

    Just got mine today and poked at it a bit. One of the things i noticed is that you have to recalibrate the L/R 2 buttons if you have them locked as buttons instead of triggers because its LOOKING for a full trigger pull, but its only travelling a fraction of the distance so it doesnt register. IDK if that helps you at all.

    The disconnect you mentioned mirrors my own disconnects with the controller. No disconnect notification, the last input is just repeated until you turn it off. Happened on PC wired and wireless. Seems like a common issue, no disconnects on ps5 so far.

  • @Aeby2886

    I'm on the fence with getting this controller, I absolutely love the modular parts as I like to have my Stick in the primary position for non fighting and dpad for fighting, as well as different dpad types for different characters or games like you said. My current controller has back paddles too (only 2, not 4) and I agree they are a game changer and there's no way I'd give them up ever again lol
    The sync issue does worry me though and I don't think it has Hall Effect sticks either which is kind of a shame for something so expensive. Amazon reviews say its locked to 125hz polling rate which is kinda lame too in the new age of input latency optimization, though on PC you should be able to overclock it anyway.
    I appreciate the review from a specifically fighting game angle! I actually remembered your first look video and found this when I was looking for further info on it tonight, so very appreciated!

  • @badcp455
    @badcp455 Год назад

    Thanks, brother. It looks cool, but it seems like too many issues to warrant the extremely high price tag. I wish they'd make another version without the back triggers and all the parts. Seems like those things are driving the price up. Their simple XB360 Marvel pad seemed a lot better.

    Hmm.. I've had a few disconnects on PS5. Had no idea this was an issue. Hopefully they can fix it in an update soon. Disconnecting every 15 minutes makes this controller pretty useless. Is a shame because this controller is perfect coming from using the Astro C40 with the PS4.

    My biggest beef with the controller after a week of use is that the default d-pad is raised pretty high off of the controller. Occasionally I'll actually catch the d-pad underneath and it will mess up my inputs. It doesn't happen often, but it is possible while learning. Other than that, I tend to hit supers easier, and I no longer accidentally jump when doing half circle motions. I got a great deal on it from a buddy of mine, but I'm not sure I would have bought it at full price

  • @nogoodchad4473
    @nogoodchad4473 Год назад

    after other pads like the fighting commander and the raion i just cant do it with the twin sticks still being on there. it's clearly a pad that considers fighting games, but it isn't just for fighting games, ya know? also for consideration: official tournaments hosted by capcom and namco bandai don't allow more than one button to have the same input, so this might be a no-go at those events based on the back triggers

    the biggist one is a better option for the blcoking issue.

    Anyone who has tried a Hori Octa? Are the d-pads better than the Hori's? I'm thinking to buy this commander with a Brook adapter because I bought a Commander Octa for SF6 (for my Xbox) and I don't like its d-pad because I have problems with the imputs when I try to alternate between down and back down, for example. Sometimes even when I try to hold back. It doesn't response. Maybe it's because the d-pad it's too small or because the way I'm putting my finger on the d-pad, but it's not working well and I'm frustratred because I love the other buttons.
    I'm not having any issues with the regular XSX controller... But I want six buttons in front and the two right bumpers :(
    Maybe buying an Elite Controller is a cheaper option? But I never touched one and I don't know how the paddles feels.

    • @Lafigatatia
      @Lafigatatia Год назад

      @@raveess5625 Ugh, now I am undecided. The Victrix costs €200 without offers and I would also have to buy the Brook converter because I'm playing on Xbox. I don't know if it would really compensate so much money (~€260 vs €150)... :(
