    Great to see models based on the real early planes. This is a great example of super building.
    Most enjoyable to see it flying -- very nice flight and safe landing.

    Themes to be very Heavy and the Lift from Motor is ok but Critical from the Power for this Weight from the Model.

    That’s a really good job with the filming and gives everything viewpoint I want to see when watching these models . Well done!

    Ahhh.... the 'good' ol' days. When planes were, well, scary and deadly... and the pilot men were, well, brave beyond belief but insane is how I see things! Imagine - every single time you landed your plane - that you felt as if you cheated death, yet one more time. Hahaha. Awesome vid!!!

    Outstanding project and beautiful flying!! See, you don’t have to fly inverted or hover your plane to impress lovers of flight!

    Its crazy how small they built the tails on these aircraft and others back then. Well built and well flown. Great video

    Awesome, but if you can build this, why not build a full scale one and learn to fly and take it to airshows ? I must say, the level of detail and accuracy is amazing ... I esp like your pilot with the silk scarf !!!

    I get that this is a cool accomplishment. But there is a huge pipe sticking out the bottom and he has normal ailerons. The Eindecker E3 had wing warping. Why was this not implemented on this airplane if its so scale?

    • @clforever1
      @clforever1 4 года назад

      Yep...that tuned-pipe spoils the view-i think it might be there to meet noise-regulations more easily.

    1:2 scale. What's next ? Full-size RC's? How about 2:1, twice the size of the original a/c? 😆😄😂😅😂
    This one needed onboard cameras. Bird's eye view 🎥

    Lovely model but a shame to have that big tuned pipe hanging underneath. I guess it needs the extra power, but better to have a larger engine with a more compact silencer. Of course a radial would be great, but big money ...

    I used to fly in the 90s. Just trainers, gliders, etc. Question: it looks like he's using lots of down on the horiz elevator/stab. Why? Is it just the way it is on a vintage plane where the horizontal elevator is the whole darn horiz stabilizer? Seems like it would be a nightmare of twitchy.. unless you somehow used multiple servo rate profiles. But what the heck ya gonna do when flying the full size one? lol. I wish I knew more about flying these. GOD i love watching the flight mechanics in action with these unique planes!

    i dont think the real one has a guy holding the wing to turn the plane. Maybe thats why they lost the war.

    What about 5:1 scale?)))

  • @tomthompson7400
    @tomthompson7400 4 года назад

    its a very tidy model , but is it really 1/2 scale ,,, the guy in the pilot seat looks like an action man / gi joe doll , they are about a foot tall , so if hes 1/2 scale , in real life the pilot would be 2ft tall , now unless he RAF had Snow White as a wing commander , Im seeing something wrong . or do I just not get the scale thing ??

    Gotta love the irony - all the pomp and circumstance of these guys - aviator glasses, transmitter tray and a harness that looks like you could hang from a parachute with. Walking around like it’s a military drill. Then, he walks right in front of what was probably a 40” or more propeller. Had anything happened, even if he accidentally bumped the throttle stick, he could have been severely hurt or worse. Lots of show, but no go when it comes to actual safety. Dumb.

    Great plane but use the throttle! Don't fly full-bore all the time, very unrealistic.....

    Doesn’t look 1/2 scale. Judging by the man in the cockpit, it looks around 1/4.

    What fresh lunacy is this? Where is the fun? What is the point of building and flying larger and larger models? My Hobbyzone Champ flies better than this in the garden and cost £80 RTF. My Chris Foss WOT4 (kit built, OS48 Surpass 4 stroke) sounds much sweeter than this and is a pure joy to fly (cost £200). This seems to be a German/Austrian obsession.

    i just get so pissed when i see these huge rc planes. aint got the balls to fly a real one? ruin our hobby building these large planes just imposes more regulations on the hobby. i for one..hope it plows in.
