Thank you for this video I have done two music video so far and shot with my phone and camera this definitely has helped for doing more upcoming music videos.
I’m looking at updating that section by late September! The course has gone through new ownership. I now run the course 100% so I just need a bit of extra time to finish up the few missing sections
Make sure you film your 60fps shots at 1/125 shutter speed. This is VERY important. Once you have successfully filmed a 60fps scene at 1/125 shutter speed, slow the clip down in your editing program to 40% speed. Let me know if that works!
Hi there great work i know this is a different video, but i have a nikon coolpix l320 (1080p video quality) I really wanna shoot a night scene but im scared of too much grain in video,i used a light but still a bit grainy and noisy
Hey man! Appreciate the comment and your support as always. Hope all is well! In terms of your question, try your best not to pass around 400-600 ISO. If it's still grainy even with a light at night, try using 'noise reduction' on your clips in your editing platform. Use the light to medium strength of noise reduction otherwise your image will start to look too soft and unnaturally unsharp. Hope this tip helps!
Hey man, so unfortunately there is no way around getting the auto focus on a Lumix S1 to even be slightly useable. It's terrible and I highly suggest either practicing manual focus or selling the camera and going with Sony or Canon
@@RoyalZProduction yes man! You are a big inspiration to a lot of ppl on RUclips including myself I’m working on getting more money so I can do your class but the stuff you put out helps a lot of us small town filmmakers who don’t really have a lot of support so big shout of from Oklahoma man keep doing your thing!
Really dope (pun intended). Are you near the Los Angeles area? I'm a rap artist / script writer looking to get some music videos and collab on short films. Best of health, happiness and success to you. - Imp
Fire video man. Some useful info in there. My question is, for the interior car shot, you said you shot it at 60 fps for the performance scene. I’m going to assume your editing timeline was 23fps so if you didn’t plan on slowing down that performance scene ( when you showed playback it was regular speed) then what made you decide to shoot it in 60fps
Hey! Appreciate the love! So yeah, for that shot yes it was filmed in 60fps. The odd performance scene I film in 60fps so I have the option to use it as Broll if need be, which I didn’t even end up doing. My timeline was indeed a 23.978fps timeline. My Lumix S1 spits 60fps clips out at regular speed so if I wanted to slow any of those shots down, I’d slow it to 40% speed. My rule of thumb is: every 4th performance scene, I film in 60fps!
You said that 35 mm is the best but if you have crop senser camers, experts says that focal lenth changes to x1.5 factor so which focal lenth is best for this type of camera in music videos. Another question is - is canon 55-250 lens is useful in music videos or not ? Because I have getting a fare deal on 55-250 second hand camera, I am getting it at 60 dollars.
If you have a cropped sensor, I would say a 24mm prime if you were to go with a prime lens. The Canon 55-250mm lens is useful for music videos, IMO any lens is useful for music videos just not ideal.. But still useable and useful. At $60, I'd say sure why not but I would seriously consider looking into a 24mm or 35mm prime Canon lens at F/1.4. They're pricey lenses but seriously future proof. I've had my Sigma 35mm F/1.4 (L-mount) for the Lumix S1 for around 3.5 years now and still use it on almost every one of my shoots.
@@RoyalZProduction what is the basic difference between the sigma and prime leses ? Is 24 mm sigma and 24 mm prime are different lenses ? Which one do you suggest ? One 24 mm lens for canon sl3 and 50 mm nifty fifty would be a good combination at beginner level ?

My number one mentold.......can lumix g9 use 18-35 lens without speed busters?
You'll need a speedbooster so you can attach a Canon EF mount lens to the micro 4/3 sensor on the G9!
