I think a good addition to this would have been mentioning 90s and 2000s touring cars. Look at that era of BTCC cars, they are slammed and have big wheels. Granted, they're tubbed to fit the wheels but really not too far off of what we consider "tucked" fitment on stance cars
Around 5:15 - a lot of these styles of cars weren't based on Japanese bosozoku/shakotan styling, but directly based on the same thing that Boso/Shako styling imitated... IMSA GT Champ race cars and Super Silhouette race cars
I respect and appreciate the stance style. I'm just a function over form kinda guy so it's not my thing. I've always said, " to each their own" with the cars
7:00 God, I think I needed this, here in Spain I just see diesel cars with weird mods, I've never seen something as clean as things from the US I see on the internet, but who am I to talk, I own an hyundai accent bone stock that needs a lot of work just to pass the annual inspection
Just now found out what that is... i didnt realise stance had categories? But i kinda like that vip look, just not too cambered out like -5 at most and its clean as hell!
Gassers weren’t really stanced that way to put more weight in the rear. It started out as and continued as a simple swap of the front suspension to a trucks suspension due to wrecking the notoriously soft and weak front suspension on the strip or street the cheap easy way to fix it to last longer is to slap in a trucks front suspension.
Fun Fact: Early Lowriders rocked extreme negative camber due to hydraulics and stock front A-Arms. Back than it was called Butterfly. As time went on extending the front A-Arms cured it
I actually wanted to stance a Nissan 350Z once when I was like a 15 years old freshman in high school. Mind you I was young and was just imagining it, now since I am a little bit older out of my teenage years, I will not actually stance any car I buy. Well in my case I will not stance my dream car which is the Nissan 350Z if or when I buy one.
I’m not sure how accurate this is because all my life I’ve been told that custom cars & hot rods all began in the late 40s early 50s after soldiers came back from WWII. I doubt people were modifying cars much in the decade of the Great Depression earlier & if they were, it was coach building, not led sledding
@@easyrider3066 Exactly! I highly doubt anything like what they showed for the 30s section existed back then. Especially given that the cars in these videos weren’t even from the 30s
I expect to see undergrowth making a comeback, along with sleeper-like builds. Black-on-black cars with minimal aero. No more big crazy wings, just clean builds.
My car has a 225/40/18 And I’m wanting to get new wheels, and found a set but the tyres on them are: 235/35/19 Would these fit ok? It’s a 2011 seat Leon
@@FitmentIndustries awesome thanks for the reply! I think the offset isn’t far off standard from my car etc, as the wheels are from golf r and my cars similar to them
Car enthusiasts are anyone who really enjoys cars... but they get put into sub categories like, tuners, ricers, stance and track/drag etc. Just because they are in those categories it doesn't make them any less of a car enthusiast.
I mean for me if its a show car its nice some looks nice some not but i dont see the point to run - 15 of camber with tire stretched to the point they barely maintain themself on the wheels in the streets ... you loose braking distance you loose overall grip and can loose a tire anytime .. it is just dangerous for me but thats only my opinion .
I think as people get older even car enthusiasts they go for more function over form but a car slammed to the ground with awesome fitment will always look good and I think will be around for ever #stanceneverdies
I think personally, haven’t seen too much but I know it’s coming is the next trend. OEM + as in making an old car look new again but with a modern touch. Simple example is like led headlight or something more crazy is like keyless entry with push to start on an 80’s BME e30, or like a NA miata. Something more modern but on a old car. Idk I like that look personally
I think we might see more "rally raid" builds, like lifted Porsches that already exists, when people will want to explore the outdoors after the pandemic ends
When you buy a set of wheels from Fitment Industries and post your ride on their page, but you have a "stock" fitment with a "stock" wheel with no modifications whatsoever Nope! Can't have anything to do with that! Extreme and ridiculous is what matters these days.
Bad camber set ups.. looks like the car have a huge hangover.. Must be a american trend.. done see them anywhere else. Remind me of the tow truck in lightning mcqueen movie ;)
And RUclipsrs like drew peacock calls stance cars shitty ricers. All i want to do when I get older and enough money is to build a extension of me. Just enjoy the extension of me around mountains
Why do all the fitness industries guys have the same cadence when they talk. It sounds like they all took a class on how to talk. It's odd and off-putting.
I can't stand the extreme camber trend its too ricey. Also funny to see these extreme camber cars change spare tires with normal tires ar 25 to 50 percent tread hitting the pavement #AntiRicer

Your car isn't low enough until the wheels go sideways and your car turns into a submarine. #Fact

Lol it's funny tho, a lot of Americans wished they lived in Europe for the exotic cars, without realizing that there are more exotic cars in America
"So you want a Acura legend"
The legend is a cool ass car lol
literally getting one tomorrow morning lol

Day 18 of asking Fitment Industries to bring back Wheel History.
Last time I was this early she left me for a more experienced guy
Hits too close to home 😢
vip stance has my heart🥴
Amen, same
Yuuuup

Tru Led Sleds arrived in the late 50's when the Kustom/ Lowrider movement started to take off..
@@easyrider3066 Exactly! I highly doubt anything like what they showed for the 30s section existed back then. Especially given that the cars in these videos weren’t even from the 30s
I think underglow/exterior lighting is going to get huge soon, especially with led’s becoming more affordable and more elaborate
So you want a Mazdaspeed 6
I expect to see undergrowth making a comeback, along with sleeper-like builds. Black-on-black cars with minimal aero. No more big crazy wings, just clean builds.
6:03 that is the best looking 350z that I've ever seen!
Just picked up a raked set tires & wheels from you guys!
Honestly, I don't hate on any custom builds. It is simply what someone likes. It may or may not be my taste but it is all good.

What's the name of the song in the intro?
I want a vip ls400 so bad
This was unexpectedly wholesome
Please do a video on the lincoln mark viii attempt #16
Skinnies in the front and fatties in the back are my favorite stance. You should tell custom offsets to do a video over stance for trucks
I Love all cars and builds.
hellafush stance so clean imo

Wish I could show about the last three or so minutes to everyone who hates on stance or something that isn’t their flavor, good shit

I'd love to see that kind of thing.
Hope they do an engine rebuild for Gel's or maybe 20b swap it
Ok, but where can we get one of the Japanese fi logo hoodie 👀👀
They are discontinued now!
With electric vehicles on the rise stance is going to stick around for a while I feel.
FI needs to sell angle kits
We’ll look into it!
Your car doesn’t have enough camber until it looks like the anti gravity feature in Mario kart
Im not a big fan of camber. I can take a slight bit of camber like -3 degrees.
This music in the intro will always remind me of robbie's videos no matter where else I hear it lol
tbh I just don't like cars that have aesthetic mods that are bad for performance. Especially when the aesthetic doesn't even look good.
@Damon.frs on that thumbnail though 😎
🔥
“So you want a 2nd gen Lexus IS”
Y’all got your own wheel brand now but what if you guys did your own body kits too 🤔

STANCEEE NATIONN BABEHHH
I think we might see more "rally raid" builds, like lifted Porsches that already exists, when people will want to explore the outdoors after the pandemic ends
Now i know where my liking for higher rear ends comes from lol
I'm going to still laugh at these stepped on hot wheels
How can you make it your own when you are doing the same thing as everyone else?
I love modified cars but negative camber inhibits performance.
Nothing is wrong with stance but when you make your car look like a cripple camel then that's stupid as fuck. Function over form any day.
I can respect the work it takes to have -80° of camber, I just think it's dumb! I like to drive my vehicles and camber like that just ruins them!
So you want Herbie?
Day 6 of waiting for my artisa titans to come in❤

It's not a modification, it's a handicap.
Stance cars kinda look like hot wheels after getting stepped on
When I turn 50, the trends will be slammed electric SUVs with hover conversion. Well got 20 years to go.

👋
How to slam your car on its nuts
Step one: get air suspension
Step two: never raise it

..wanna be in the USA...❤️😉
Why do all the fitness industries guys have the same cadence when they talk. It sounds like they all took a class on how to talk. It's odd and off-putting.
Saw this on fb with the 350z and I disliked it as a Z owner... I hate cambered tf outtttt cars like some camber is ok (maybe)
So basically, we've been ricers all along
I'm going to get a modern jdm car and 70s rake the f out of it.
