This video made me question whether or not I’m a car enthusiast for a second lmao. I realized that studying mechanics and working as a technician doesn’t make you a technician but it’s not always about just working as a technician. I enjoy fixing cars just as much I love drifting off-ramps. I thought my thing was grip racing, and I was damn good at it, when I was younger I dominated karting and sims and when I got my first car first thing I wanted to do was go to the track and set the track record, got pretty close to it But in one of those instances I changed cars, I first had an 02 S60 T5 manual and I had bought an 86 Corolla SR5, i wanted to see how the car felt and test its limits, I came in a little to quick for those tiny ass brakes and I slightly braked to aggressively and I lost the rear end while trail braking and in that moment I felt a euphoria. That’s when I realized that I wanted to drift. So I ditched grip racing and autox for drifting and I found my new passion. Am I les sod a car enthusiast now because I ditched one drive I got discipline for another? No. The true answer to this question lies in words them selves. Are you *enthusiastic* about *cars*? If yes then you are If not then you’re not To be a car enthusiast you don’t have to enjoy driving and enjoy working on cars. It could be one or the other. You can be a driver, mechanic, technician, designer, engineer etc. and as long as you enjoy doing it you are a car enthusiast. Oh and being a driving enthusiast ≠ to being a car enthusiast.
I'd still say the ONE thing we should require with cars is driving manual. If you can't drive manual, you lose out on enjoying most enthusiast level cars. That's a required skill tbh and whether you continue to drive manual or not is one issue, but you should know how to at least.
i get where you're coming from but i gotta disagree, as not all car people are into the same stuff that most people in the online car culture are, imo you still still be a car person and not give a shit about the manual
@Talking_Ben_ the point is you should KNOW how to do it regardless if you like it or not. It's a basic driving skill and as car enthusiasts we gotta know that much
Ever since I was little I've loved cars. I used to draw them, read every car magazine I could get my little hands on, and watch any car show I could. Even as a teenager, getting my license and having a car was something I dreamed of and couldn't wait for. Now at 28, I have my license and a car, read all the articles on Super Street, Hot Rod, Truckin' Magazine, and Speedhunters, fawn over car videos online and love the sound of engines but even through all that, I still feel like I'm not a real car guy because I don't have a project car and can't afford one, and honestly can barely afford to keep my Tucson on the road. I feel like a poser in this scene because I don't have a project car to wrench on and don't even have any tools or somewhere to work on a car. I love cars more than anything but it honestly, feels like I'll never be a real car guy because I don't know if I'll ever be able to get a project car, garage or tools. It's a bummer, man.

That's what molded me to like cars. My first car might end up being a 2013 Hyundai Elyantra GLS. Not fast, but could still be fun with an Intake, Muffler, wheels tires suspension. Love the cars for what it can offer you not what it doesn't. (Those Yaris Grs' are sick.)

I love my bad financial decision !!!
im thinking of buying a car jack because i cant keep paying these mechanics for tiny things like change my control arm $400 because he wont just change the bushing. i can see he has a press machine. @@jeremiahpinto1041 lucky you guys, had to save up for my car and was able to buy it at 27 LOL
black ops references top notch. editing top notch. Love it
Only ppl i dont consider enthusiasts are those who dont work on their cars, im glad Alex started with getting the tools of the trade
Can We get the Forbidden
“So you want, (to be) Up to speed”
Fitment x Donut Collab????
"Sometimes you don't really know Something until you break it yourself" ~ felt that. Trying to fix it all now... send help 😅😅
ay another nice vid guys! love this kind of topic! vid idea: eg hatch
Fresh kiicks in the intro 🔥
The Black Ops reference is GOLDEN!!!!
IK this sounds like a bizarre scenario but hear me out: I've been into cars even before I started playing video games (I was 5-6 years old when I started), but I've always been a "visionary" because I never had the skills IRL to be a proper mechanic.
Love your channel. Every single video is perfect. Thank you for using your social influence to make this all better for all of us. 👏👏👏
It’s expensive to be my username...😏. So thank you for being me.
So you want a lotus exige s. Day 165
What car parts did everyone buy with their stimmy? I got some dope new wheels/tires.
@@howieewalt1322 I don’t get one :(
Best advice ever: build your car 4 you, not everyone else.
The perfect soundtrack to my morning dump. Thank you Fitment Industries :) 🦅♥️👍🏾
😂🙏🏼
The gate keeping can get annoying, hey as long as its not riced out has a tonne of heart n passion i dont really care if it looks like a track monster but only got 100hp
Do a e36 or e46 !!!
never clicked this fast in my life
So true Alex, I thought I was gonna like drags and drifting, but vip and stance has my heart
"stop gatekeeping but for the love of God, its 'wheels'."
Nice.
Look. If u wanna do either or ur a car enthusiast A break tractions on purpose while going around corners or hope not to breack traction when going around corncers to fast
Wish I could find like Idk a car guru mentor to guide me on my path of mastering the 4 elements as the avatar wheels, exhaust, tune, and suspension
Car enthusiast is someone who is enthusiastic about cars, whether they dont have a car yet or knees and elbows deep into a 3000+ hp drag car build
Exotic cars got me into cars, then I started learning more of them and found that’s my passion, I still don’t own a car but soon I will and will start building it little by little
We need more videos about it, great video
Trying to save a car, that everyone would send to the scrapyad
i love the car culture and want to track some day even though i don't know much. bought everything to work on my car where i can, spend hours doing research and trying to learn little by little, but sometimes it's intimidating asking for advice cause there are a lot of a-holes out there. fortunately there are some friendly people at the car meets that don't judge too much.
Please make a video about the RPM Act
dang a scotty droop!! good job guys
“And for the love of god... it’s WHEELS” 😂 I loved that.
Me knowing not that much about cars, applies to mechanics class for college. No but seriously I grew up watching and helping my dad work on his cars and i felt so satisfied fixing or replacing something successfully and I love cars and I wanna be a mechanic
Love the Black Ops reference 🤣 brings back good memories 🥲
I'll say this every time. The only two good G/Z VQ exhausts are Motordyne and Stillen, period.
Certain cars don't Aftermarket supports, because they were never meant to be modified or no one that owned one modified it. Like my 2003 Suzuki Aerio as an example, or the 97-01 Lexus ES300 they have no Aftermarket support parts.
Eyyyyy I made the video🤘 I love a builds and respect everyone's passion. You never know how much you can influence someone good or bad in the car scene or life in general 🤘
Alex, I have a question. If the rubber part is a tyre, and the metal part is a wheel, what's it called when it's put together?
The metal part you’re referring to is called a rim lol. Both of them together are called wheels
“ And for the love of god, it’s ‘wheels’ ”
I wanna learn about cars. I find them pretty and very interesting but I know nothing about them except the brands. That's why I started my research, hopefully I'll get the basics and then continue to learn!
how's it going
@@-forg Pretty good, I've definitely learned a lot more and still going. thanks for asking!
Old Alex looks surprisingly like Clint Eastwood 😂
Do guys should do a video on what car color and wheel color combo goes together very good.
Top gear, intial D, and working on 99 Jeep Cherokee's with my dad and for fun going out when your little with the owner manual and following the mid pipe and learning the names of the parts.
I'm 11 and I've just started. But it's so hard to find good sources of info from where i can actually learn literaqlly everything about cars. if anyone of you can help me with it, it would mean a great deal to me.
I was trying to add my car to your gallery but you don't have HOLDEN as a make.
Please send some love down under and appreciate the cars we got!
Hahaha love the black ops reference took me back to the good days
Freshkiicks with the Godzilla plug
A car enthusiast is someone who likes cars period
Maaaaan I am still mad
I got addicted to preludes. It's a subpar platform and I love it like no other.
My si was very very reliable when I bought, then I lowered it, then I bought i/h/e n hondata, then tuned it. Then bought some cosmis xt206r's 17x8 +30 from you guys, then dropped a CHUNK of cheese on a rrc im j37 tb big ass skunk2 stage 2 cams and matching valve train, now I rub everywhere I go, my car shakes cuz I have solid motor mounts and an a2 oil pump, but I love my now unreliable money pit of a honda, it makes me so much more happier than anything to drive it those 2 days a week, 6 months out of the year that I get to.
I love my bad financial decision !!!
im thinking of buying a car jack because i cant keep paying these mechanics for tiny things like change my control arm $400 because he wont just change the bushing. i can see he has a press machine. "to much work" " this is easier" ima need a jack with a metal cutter & tall ladder to jump down onto the bushing to press it in lol
I hate how you just spoke to my soul. I worked on cars professionally for 10 years and finally gave it up to go back to loving cars like I once did.
Welcome to Fitment Industries where all 4 wheels that would look decent and fit on your car are out of stock!!! 👉🏻👌🏻
