This video is great. I have had my ninja grill for 6 months and it was smoking up the apartment and fire alarm even when i thought i was doing a fair amount to clean it. You're 100 % correct with the Brillo pads and elbow grease . Furthermore thank you for the demo saving all of us the unnecessary expense of buying all the other cleaners and steamers.. Thanks again.. keep up the great work..

Nice competent experiment. If everyone who bought one of these start bombing Amazon with negative reviews on the poor cleanability of these, I'd bet they'd have another model out which would allow you to pull the fan blade off, pull out the 'dome' and allow that to be put in the sink or garage with oven cleaner or something?

Sponge or dish rag as hot as you can stand it & lightly spray that with the power wash. (The sponge or rag - not inside the lid). Wipe down. Follow up with a few wipes of damp paper towels. Leave lid open to dry

I believe the BEST Strategy is to remove that small screw, loosening the grill , cover it with a zip lock bag and close the end. Spray Some oven Cleaner on the effected areas
and then use Vinegar and Water in the Bissell Steamer to remove all traces of the chemicals once your done. That is what I shall do 1st.

I use the silver rolled scouring pads that looks like silver cinnamon rolls. The silver rolled pads do not have any chemicals or soaps in them. The sos & Brillo with soap gets into the round holes around edges of the lid and when heated they foam up. I am concerned about the chemicals used in the eraser bar and the chemicals in the soap heating its residue into your food as the unit heats and cooks.

I just use Magic eraser sheets not the sponge every time after I use my grill. Don't let it build up. I use Dawn power wash on my pans and the splatter screen and leave it sit 10 min then rinse it without any elbow grease scrubbing. The longer you leave it sit the better, rinse with hot water.

Funny thing that he said use toilet paper only without water to clean.
