    In this video I show how to deep clean your Ninja Foodi Grill. This is a video on how to clean your ninja foodi grill with just a few typical household items such as vinegar, baking soda, a toothbrush, and a sponge. I would suggest deep cleaning your Ninja Foodi Grill once a month or even once every other month if used regularly.

    You can easily drop and remove the outer "aluminum cage" that protects the heating coil. There are 3 screws + 1 captive screw that holds the element (just loosen that one). A shorty screw driver will be needed to get at the lower screw and magnetic tips really help. Then you can easily get at everything and use Bar Keepers Friend as a cleaner, and flush with fresh water.

    I really like this grill. It cooks different meats perfectly and make it so easy to make stuff like steaks, grilled pork chops, air fryer wings, etc.....BUT cleaning it is one big pain in the butt and you can never thoroughly clean it (unless you take it apart). Every time I cook on it, heck, even when it's warming up, it starts smoking cause grease and grime is all inside of the hood and by the vents. For now, I think I will just use it outside and try to clean it as much as possible but the constant grime build up and smoking is really irritating for an inside grill that cooks so well.

    You did a good job dear... I used mine five times and gave up as I could not clean behind that element... also the edges are so sharp I cut myself trying to clean that lid... I put it away and feel I wasted $300.00 on buying the Ninja Foodie Grill... waste of money and too hard to clean... I went back to my wonderful Cosori Air Fryer... works just as well and takes up less space and is so easy to clean...takes two minutes after each use and I use it two or three times per day for my steaks... I only eat steaks on my Carnivore diet.

      I do carnivore also and cook steak everyday. Is your air fryer the type that has the baskets? You don't have any trouble with smoking from grease getting up near the motor area and fan?

      @@petrawitty5575 I have two units. The Ninja Foodie grill is terrible for smoking so I don't use that one anymore. I wasted my money on that one and only used it about 5 times. I clean mine in the dishwasher and it works well. I had trouble cleaning until I chanced the angle on the top lid by sitting it like an open book. It was unplugged and moved to the island where I had more room. Mine has only been used about four times, it’s only a week old. I figured to get going on this so it doesn’t get too bad.
    I appreciate your beginner videos. Trying to get the probe inserted correctly so my steaks do not get overcooked. Husband likes it pretty rare. One issue I have is getting the butcher to cut my steaks at least 1 1/2” thick. I believe I’ll ask for a 2” steak and I might get closer to what I want.

    good video on how to clean the foodi grill. Cleaning the grill and basket and the splash guard is not problem. ***** Question: how do you clean that upper vent area??? grease does also accumulate on that vent area above the coils..... over time.... It is so difficult to clean it now; there is a brown film of grease grime that a toothbrush can not squeeze up there to clean the vent area. I have only cooked in that grill for 5 times in month of December. My friend suggested a metal brush at Home Depot ; its a bristle brush, skinny and I will have to try; its metal bristles, and that maybe dangerous if small bristle hair are left, maybe no different on a bbq grill outside - any suggestions? I can not unscrew the element bolts as it will void the warranty ( i recently bought on black friday); I like this grill but the DOWNSIDE is the nasty cleaning above and around the metal frame elements around the coils. urgh!!! I wish the engineers would have thought of a better way of dismantling and cleaning this appliance. .. eventually grease grime builds up on the vent area and a fire can ignite. .. as my friend told me over xmas time while serving dinner... Thanks for reply...

    • @NightTimeMommyReviews
      @NightTimeMommyReviews  4 года назад

      Hi Manjeet, I am currently trying to figure that as well. I am a little hesitant to use a brush above that area for the reason due to the air fryer fan. Anything can make it go off balance, and I believe that can void the warranty as well, but I am not sure. I feel your frustration tho, I too see that the splatter guard doesn't really prevent anything from entering. I am currently awaiting a commercial grease cleaner spray to arrive in the mail. Once I receive it I will test it, and let you know if it works.

    • @ManjeetSingh-xf8zp
      @ManjeetSingh-xf8zp 4 года назад +1

      I am not sure either myself... that is a PROBLEM now.. i notice about this foodi grill ; i called their number shark/ninja reps in that booklet- trouble shooting- but they KNOW NOTHING.. all they said was use the black brush that came in the box. That was not a good answer; the black brush only cleans the grill and splatter guard and the basket; the black brush can not fit in between the coil and metal vented area (the lid area!). take a close look at your vent area? is it dark brown grease grime building up already (circular grease patterns, and builds around the venting wheel well areas...?). mine is dark already and I may have to take it back to the store (its within 90 days and replace it) but that wont do any good to solve problem.. because a new foodi grill will just build up grease again in the venting areas - and problem to try cleaning again! I think the answer is using a long bristle brush - hard nylon or if you want to try a metal bristle brush elongated - that could be risky when the metal fibres break off and land in the appliance area while cooking.. - not safe- just like scrubbing your bbq grill outside with a metal bristle scrapper that leaves fibres microscopically in between the metal grill slots - dangerous when grilling your next meats.. thanks.. for reply....

    • @NightTimeMommyReviews
      @NightTimeMommyReviews  4 года назад

      @@ManjeetSingh-xf8zp I agree, I do not believe the black brush is an good solution for the problem either. However I am noticing this to be a trend with all air fryers. I tried looking up a method for cleaning the air fryer fan, and no one has a good enough solution to effectively clean the area. Thank you for watching, and I will keep reply as soon as I have some sort of solution.

      @@NightTimeMommyReviews could you put water, lemon juice and/or vinegar in the liner pan heat to boiling then turn off and close the lid for 15 minutes (unplug the machine at this point too). The steam, lemon and/or vinegar will help dislodge/clean the residue. I know this can be done with the Ninja Foodi tendercrisp machine that is also a pressure cooker. I do not own the grill yet, but came across your video. I wish the manufacturer will create a model where the heat element is removable (like on an electric range/stove top). That way we could clean underneath the element too. The grill looks like it is easier to access and clean than the Foodi Tendercrisp.

    • @NightTimeMommyReviews
      @NightTimeMommyReviews  4 года назад +1

      @@KreatesKards I could not agree more! They need to make it easier to clean the product. They do make it possible to reach the heating element with the screws around the fan, but then they make a disclaimer in the manual that if we remove them to reach the heating element we are voiding our warranty. Its sad that we cant even clean the product efficiently without risking voiding our warranty. I will try the method you suggest! Thank you so much for watching, and commenting.
