      You are awesome 🎉 Thank you sooo much for demonstrating cleaning, I’ve had a hell of a time trying to keep hood clean the way Ninja says😞 I’m so glad you showed me what I’ve been thinking would work but I’ve been too afraid to try in fear of damage. Love your down to earth style ❤ can’t wait to watch you cook 😋 you mentioned you use air fryer mode after cleaning but not if you add a bowl of water, can you explain better? Thanks again for amazing helpful video

    I own 5 foodies in & clean em all the same way. I fill the roasting pans while in the foodie, with h20 and vinegar or lemon juice.....or even Dawn at times. Then I turn the foodie on the highest temp...roast or bake and let it run for about 10-15 minutes. The steam loosens up the grime and allows you to just wipe the crud away. I follow that up by using plain water to steam as to "rinse" away any vinegar/Dawn I used. I use oven cleaner for the mesh plate.

    I have been looking for a video on how to do this for a while, it’s a great unit but I bothers me that not even the Ninja team shows you how to clean it, this is great brother thank you so much, you enriched my life.
    Videographers feedback, don’t use devolves when you cutting from one talking head to another in the same location and composition, just leave it as a simple cut no transitions. Other than that your intro was nice and the video was great the angle for the cleaning was great and I can feel how difficult that could have been to pull off. Thank you brother

    My boss used his just about every day for several years and just got a new one with the pellets. He gave me his old one and I had to clean the shit out of it for probably 6 hours over two days using dawn, Lysol wipes and alcohol and 50 kilos of elbow grease, really wish I’d have watched this video, but maintaining it now will be super easy now that I know. I appreciate the time you took to make and explain this video man!

    The easy off works great, I just buy the cheap Dollar store brand works as well, instead of plain hot water, I use a bowl of water with a little White Vinegar, a little dawn & tbsp lemon juice, which is what I use to place in my microwave and cleans it perfect, I just do the microwave then take that hot steaming bowl of cleaner over to my Ninja, Dip in my Dollar store brand magic eraser and it's a flawless perfect clean everytime. Hi guys,
    The biggest problem cleaning this thing is access. It’s just really awkward to get at.
    So I periodically tilt it over weight mostly on its top (resting on a oven glove) take off the four screws (takes a minute) then take the individual parts and clean them, much easier (do it whatever way you feel works best for you).
    Of course the key is to clean it every time you use it and keep on top of it however every once and a while take it a part and do a ‘deep’ clean. I bring mine up like new when I do it this way.
    Hope this helps. K

      @@CookingWithCJ Hi CJ I found the answer and wanted to share it in case it's ever useful to you or your viewers.
      The lid sensor is in or near the right hinge. If grease gets in there (which happens a lot for me, even with the awesome way that I learned to clean my grill, From YOu!), it will cause the grill to be unable to sense that lid is closed. Moral of the story, cover/clean that area as much as possible. Use a good degreaser if grease manages to get in their anyway.

    Why not put water in a ss bowl and set the oven high enough to steam? I have an Anovaa oven, and they get gummy on the inside. A few minutes of steam, and it all wipes out with a paper towel. Also, a hand-held small-nozzle steamer will work too. 😅

    Would you suggest only using the brand you used for the cooktop cleaner? Or would any cooktop cleaner work? I already have one lol so just trying to save some coins anywhere I can. Love your videos!!

    CJ, is it difficult to remove that plate that's under the spatter screen? If not can you show how to remove it. I notice ours is starting to get a bit of a build up under there and no way to get at it. We use the grill daily, always have the spatter screen on, so not sure why it's getting dirty under there but it is.

    Do you know where the lid sensor is and if it can be cleaned? I have my Foodie DG 551 less than a month. Tonight I used the thermometer probe and a setting for steak. After preheating I added the steak, shut the lid, and got the Get Food/Done message. Tried shutting it off and unplugging and starting over, still got it. I then removed the thermometer and switched to manual and it began to cook. I'm thinking the sensor could be dirty? Thanks.

    Question ✋️ have you had an issue where your Ninja 5 in 1 stays on the preheating Add food and fan full blast on? My fan won't slow to add the food in and then when I close lid it keeps saying Add Food. This started out of nowhere. Ever happen to you or come across the issue and could be an easy fix?

    • @CookingWithCJ
      @CookingWithCJ  2 года назад

      Hi there, no that hasn’t happened for me. Might need to call Ninja on that one.
