No problem and thanks for supporting! This is why I do this, to help out other producers who may just be starting out, or lacking some particular knowledge that I can offer. Glad it is getting across!
@STRANJAH I've dabbled in quite a bit of trance, so I'm more leaning towards melodic type jungle/D&B. Marcus Intalex is one of my favourite producers. Big fat sub bass and pads, powerful kick and snares, and evolving pads and lead sounds do it for me, though. Regardless of the producer. I'm going to delve into your channel once I get my new studio set up so I might just take you up on your offer, as EQ'ing DnB is probably quite tricky as it's mostly low end compression and sidechaining. Cheers
Really glad to read the eagerness and excitement in wanting to try out this genre of music for yourself. It really is quite different than Trance, but a challenge is good and with enough practice, you will be well on your way. Not meaning to be shameless here, but do check out my page, as I have tons of preset and sample packs, that will really help you on your way. www.deviantaudio.com
Ahh, yeah. First bar of Mutt & Outlook - Dreams and you can immediately hear the pitched up tightenup break. I think you were on the flip side as well if I remember correctly.
Hi, there was a link in the description to a folder of free breaks, including a few variations of the Tighten Up Break in both WAV and RX2. You can find it here... dvnt.to/free-breaks
Technical intricacies in music aren't what music's about imo it's all about the music, maybe I'm alone in that view. Respect for bringing the knowledge as ever.
Sure, but it's these details that get the final track done in the state that it is presented in, no? These finer points are what help separate artists from one another, otherwise everything would sound even more the same than it does now and there would be no distinction, or value between artists. The artists that know these technical points are the ones that can deliver a better product, because they know what it is involved and how to use it to their advantage. You are most welcome for the knowledge and thanks for watching!
@STRANJAH True, it's a technically innovated sound after all and don't get me wrong a cleaner or more individual sound by creation in the use of tech is a positive, guess I prefer to be more organic with music but not dismissing all the plug ins etc I use them minimally it suits me better.
You have got me thinking and I admit, I will meet you half way on this. Too much technical detail, could take away from the rawness that would come forth, happy accidents etc, that can happen by just playing around and not worrying so much about what is right, or wrong, I think there needs to be a balance, a happy middle ground between technicality and organic production. Thanks for your thought provoking comment and for supporting the video!

Seasonal greetings to you and yours 🎅💚
That clangy ride always cuts through the mix!
Exactly. That ride is what really makes the break, though the shuffles help too!
Matrix - Convoy has to be my favourite Tighten Up tune.
Qué grande eres Stranjah!!!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Such an epic channel, thanks.
Thanks for all your efforts and shared knowledge, Stranjah!!

🙏
solid gold, as always!
thanks Stranjah, u da best!
Great tutorial as always🔥🔥👏🏿
Stellar from the OG of tutorials. Is there a similar midi workflow, using Push for example?
If you have a means to get the break sliced, for instance RX2, then yes, you can arrange and edit via MIDI just as well, if not even better tbh.
Hey, that's the beep street break!!
whens your next live bro pls
great content 👍

@@STRANJAH You're an inspiration respect to you.
DJ Buz - Slave uses this break, right? That's an all time top 5 jungle track for me
Not quite, Slave uses the soul pride with a think layer.
There's an Alex Reese break in the tremen
Do you know the exact name of the break?
@@STRANJAH its supposed to be model 500 - the flow
that's what she said 😂
Random. Out of nowhere 😂
except to me!
instead of gate better use *expander!*
Nice tip! I will have to look into that!
the ride is iconic
It definitely makes the break what it is.
With wich shortcut do you preview the slices in the upper lane?
Shift Tab? I’m on Ableton Live 12.1 so there’s a bunch of new views to help with workflow
