I Spoke to the creator of amigo yesterday! they guy is really young. for uni he says hes going to make a DJ scratch plugin next! so stay tuned for that
Takes me back to my Octamed and Protracker days. God I used to make some awful junglist tracks back then. Skip forward 30 years and ain't a damn thing changed, lol.
Having fun is what counts and as for the perception of your tracks, that is purely subjective. Some may actually like your music! Lots of artists hate what they come up with, but the general listener loves it!
Just keep practicing. You will always get better with time and dedication and never think you ever stop learning. I still learn things, 30 years later!
Wow. The update to Amigo is incredible. Some super useful refinements and additions there. I couldn't agree more about a filter. If they can get a nice sounding filter that can interact well with the rate reduction aliasing, the plug-in would the unstoppable and I can't think of much else it would be lacking.
They really upped the game with this version 2. Some really solid additions we weren't expecting to get and they all work beautifully. When it comes to the filter, it will have to be pre sample rate reduction, in order to retain the crunchy expectations that Amigo has to offer. If we had the filter post rate reduction, it would take away all of that gritty, aliased sound. Pre filter however, will allow you to shape your sound and then degrade it with a sample rate reduction, getting the best of both worlds. I have already been in contact with the developer with this idea. Fingers crossed it gets considered for a future update!
It really is great. The workflow is super quick and easy to use and if you are after that crunchy 90's vibe, this has it nailed! After the latest update, it has gotten that much better!
Really love those sample packs as well. That OG Jungle pack is the perfect companion for Amigo. They go so well together and the samples respond so well to the various features of the sampler and together the outcome is very authentic sounding.
Thanks for the support! Yes, those particular packs are a couple of our most popular ones and I chose them due to their authenticity to the sound and how well they would be treated through Amigo. If you haven't already checked them out, please do so!
It definitely is a quick and easy way to add some movement and character to your sounds, for sure. Having these functions built in, makes this sampler even better!
It looks like we both learned something new! I usually don't bother to resize my plugin GUI and that was done purely by accident in the video, when I was simply trying to move it across my screen. That Serum export option is often overlooked, so much so, that I even forget to mention it, because I am so used to it. Glad to see people have now learned about it and can take full advantage of it. It is perfect for exporting your Serum sounds to load into a sampler for further processing, like done here!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. You are right. I just checked and there is something wrong with the link. I am going to have to look into this!
@@STRANJAH I just realized, my soundcard was glitching and I needed to unplug it and re-plug it back in when ALL my RUclips videos starting sounding Droid Like....now I think you just might be an Ewok!

Very interesting. I would love to see what that has to offer when it comes out and would like to try this out myself. Thanks for the info!
Love it. I'm glad I am helping him pay for uni.

@@Sergio-nb4hj Gotta love how it all comes full circle! One of the nice things that comes with age is not feeling like I HAVE to be good at it. :D

back to the 90's 😃
Some say these were the best times!
You could always put it out there for us all to have a go at finishing, like the future garage one you did a while ago 😃👍🏻
Cool VST
oh nice, i used to build tremelo into the pad samples i made to use with this to get some movement
very useful it has that now

Was your ableton project tempo set at 161bpm, the same as the breakbeat sample you used? Your face video was blocking that part out it seems. Thanks!
Actually the tempo was set to 175bpm. That is the default for the template I have set up and I never even bothered changing it!
40:36 You can resize any VTS3 plugin
That Serum trick to render the sample to wav was new to me, thanks!
Ive had plugins which I was unabled to scale larger

NICE tutorial @Stranjah ! One of your best mate
Thanks for checking it out. Yes, it seems my oldskool Jungle videos end up being pulled off quite nicely and are popular. I appreciate your support!
Anyone got the serum pack? Link 404's
Which link is that? Which Serum link is giving you an error?
