    I really like the glaze you added between the claws and the rest of the appendage. It really makes the model look more detailed and realistic

    I like the blending technique with the magos purple. Would like to see some other examples of this possibly on robes or cloaks. Great tutorial as always sir. Thanks.

    Another awesome vid. If you could do a technique vid on highlighting (especially the scales) that would be brilliant. ❤

      Absolutely love your videos. Agreed on a highlighting video for the scales, any tips on brush technique, paint thinning etc with it would be incredible.

    @nuazak 11 месяцев назад

    lovely careful highlights! I think you could gain a lot from quality drybrushes and using a dampening pad with it- it will save you having to glaze over it later

    Awesome video, would love to see a guide on the Von Ryans Leapers from the Leviathan/Starter boxsets! I'm also curious if you would paint them in the same style as you would the normal Lictor and Death Leaper Lictor variant since they are just mini versions of those two Tyranids.

    • @MattsHobbyHour
      @MattsHobbyHour  11 месяцев назад +1

      thanks for watching! I actually recorded a guide for the Leapers but the footage didn't turn out very good... I need to track down another model and record it again. I painted them in a very similar scheme to everything I've done so far, but maybe i'll try something different the second time around!

    that Neurolictor looks incredible :)
    I have no idea what to do for my tyranids now but I don't want to copy anyone elses :/
    used to be orange armour and bleached bone when I had a swarm before, I want to do something a bit more alien looking. not just shiny black

    • @MattsHobbyHour

    Really enjoying your Kraken videos, they all look great! 😃 Getting some good inspiration from them.
    I was wondering if you know the citadel equivalent for the BoneWhite you use? From what I’ve seen it may be Ushabti Bone but I’m unsure!

    • @MattsHobbyHour
      @MattsHobbyHour  11 месяцев назад +1

      Ushabti Bone is pretty close but may be slightly darker, I don't have a pot on me to compare, unfortunately. I think Screaming Skull might be a little closer. But I bet you would have great results with either color. Thanks for watching and good luck!

    Great videos! If you were to use contrast for the brain, what would you recommend?

    • @MattsHobbyHour
      @MattsHobbyHour  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for watching! Luxion Purple with some contrast medium would work pretty well. The reason I avoided using contrast on the brain is because the red scales usually has some spillover; and I'd have to touch up the undercoat before applying contrast. It's way easier and faster to basecoat it with Daemonette Hide (only needs one coat) compared to multiple coats of Wraithbone. Good luck!

    Great video! If I want to chance the red coloursheme with blue, what colours would you suggest to take?

    • @MattsHobbyHour
      @MattsHobbyHour  5 месяцев назад +1

      I think Ultramarines Blue mixed with a little Black Templar would be a good start. Then you could add some lighter edge highlights with your favorite blues. Good luck!

    Next I would like to see all the new models, but if I had to choose an order it would be these first.
    1. Norn Emissary
    2. Deathleaper
    3. Biovore
    However, I would also like to see older models, such as the Tyrannofex, Maleceptor, Hive Tyrant, Zoanthrope and Parasite of Mortrex, in your style.🤔🤣
