Why doesn't Broly break his shock collar?
Because of abuse conditioning.
Abusers condition their victims into believing what the abuser wants them to. That the abuser is right and they are wrong.
Paragus likely put the collar on Brolly at a young age and used it liberally if Broly stepped out of line. Thus conditioning Broly to always respect and fear the collar.
There is also the likely conditioning that Paragus instilled in Broly that he should always respect and fear his father.
Broly can very easily break the collar, but his mental conditioning has made him believe that he shouldn't/can't. Combined this with his forced respect/fear of his father's retribution prevents him from stepping up to his father.
Even when Cheelai and Leemo question his father, Broly takes it personally. He knows it's wrong, but he has to respect him because "he is my father"
Or maybe Broly just understands that he's a threat to both himself and his father given he easily loses control over his mental state and it's better for both to have someway of restraining his berserk form.
You can argue the shock collar is excessive, but when your son is literally 1000x times stronger than you I say it's justified.
The only part Paragus is legit abusive to Broly without reason is when he shoots Ba's ear off.
TheBlueSpikes no dude paragus is abusive no matter what you don’t shock your children that could actually kill them. That’s abuse no matter how you look at it
@@Jay-hb3ix You do when they could rage out and destroy everything in their path.

Apparently, the scars on Broly’s chest and stomach are actually references to how he died in his other movies; when Goku punched him in the stomach, and when the “Son Goku family kamehameha” split open his chest.

Isekai Broly
AYOOOOOOO I JUST NOTICED THAT!!!!!😳
I’m not sure what about Cheelai’s desire to help Broly at the end is unbelievable. Sure, they only knew each other for a few hours, but from her perspective Brody’s just a confused and naive boy who doesn’t deserve the pain and suffering he gets throughout the movie. I’d say her actions felt pretty natural.
The matter of fact is that she wouldn't have known what's happening with Broly, and so her decision to risk her entire life for some random brute she met one day ago is unbelievable.
@@ibrothebro6864 No, she states very plainly in the movie multiple times including while Broly is fighting on Earth that she hates that he's being forced into this and wants to help him. She understands that he doesn't want to be there. And even IF, for whatever reason, you still think it's unbelievable that she'd risk her life to save him; keep in mind that you have literally no basis for that other than assumption. You have no idea what Cheelai values, what she's willing to risk her life for, etc. You can say that the movie should've shown you that she was willing to put herself more directly in harms way for his sake BEFORE risking her life, which I agree with, but the notion that it's unbelievable that a character you only just met isn't acting in a "believable" way for their character is complete bullshit. It's a brand new character; everything they do is believable because that's the point.
It’s believable enough, but I think it was more ‘impulsive’ than for love. She liked him sure but it seemed more like, I want to do the right thing and I’m able bc Freeza is too stupid to keep an eye on the magic wish granting orbs, so I will.
Tien did the same thing with Cell. He did what he could and he fully expected to die
@@Brockymansince when was it about "love" either way lmao
It makes sense that she would save them anyway, doing the right thing even if you barely know the person.

@@Brockyman That was my read on it. She acted out of a sense of what's right, rather than purely her personal feelings or attachments.

Any Sayian minding their own business: ight I’m bout to head out
And all frieza wanted was to be a few centimeters taller
Its getting old they need to let Vegeta finally kill Frieza for good or turn him into a anti-villain(not hero)
Original Broly: He's so cool but he's so dumb.
Super Broly: He's so naive, but he's so cool.
Accurate explanation
I really like the super broly and I found z broly really annoying
erjon panxhaj same, I love everything they did to broly, he’s an actual interesting character now
erjon panxhaj sane
Z broly only knew a few words: Kakarot. KAKAROT. KAKAROOOOOOOOT. Those are all the words he knew.
Honestly, one of the things that impressed me the most about this movie, besides the amazing action and endearing rewriting of Broly’s character, was the sheer variety of techniques used by the fighters. Typical DragonballZ/Super eventually suffered from a lack of variation in the way different characters fought, save a few like Majin Buu with their strange body and Gotenks with their childish imagination.
But in the Broly movie, each of the fighters had their own distinct way of fighting. They didn’t just use the same punches, kicks, and ki blasts, but moved in ways that was wildly different from the others. It was incredibly refreshing to see the inventive ways the characters moved and used their ki to use different techniques, enforcing the idea that these fights weren’t simply about who had the higher power level, but who could use their power in different ways to hit their opponent with a variety of unpredictable attacks.
THIS, 100% this! Surprised I don't see this talked about more.
I think this slips people's notice because of the sheer volume of supplementary material that fleshes out the armories of long standing characters like Goku and Vegeta. That 'well I've seen x other moves' obscures how few actually see regular use. Here things stand out both because of quality and the verity shown off.
That’s also being shown in each characters power ups and forms aswell. Golly with ultra instinct, begets with ultra ego, broly with his wild lssj form
My favorite example of this very thing is when Vegeta entered his god form and essentially just used his Ki to push air into Broly at such high speeds it makes an impact. This fits Vegetas ego very well, like once he enters god mode he looked down on Broly as a peasant. (It was literally framed in the movie of him looking down on him too) great attention to detail.
The chanting in the music is legitimately the single most HYPE thing in this entire movie. I have no idea how you could have mixed feelings about it.
I thought it was a really cool touch.
Like all obnoxtard always cherrypicking.they think can do it better.the chant is toriyamaesq AF brilliant, gaveme goosebumps.tdkr do the same , was perfect
@Jeremy Harmon that’s a opinion my dude
I personally don't really like it
TBH the first time I heard the chanting, I thought it was very cheesy and kinda cringy. But it also kinda fitted how ridiculousy epic the fight was, so I thought it was ok at first.
It wasnt after a couple rewatches that the song really hit me, the chanting being more and more catchy, the guitar riffs being cool and the melody being glorious. It's like the song got more hype the more one listens too it, especially when hearing it alongside those dynamic fightscenes.
"My name is Goku... But, Broly... You can call me Kakarot."
*squeals in Saiyan*
True... but that Cliffhanger
You already know that person will become Goku's best friend in the future if he lets him/her call him Kakarot.
Personally I see it as really fitting. Remember when that name was a trigger-word for him? Now the term is used for a friend, rather than an enemy. I like that.
Yo that shit had some TENSE sexual tension 😂
He gave him that K-word pass
I love how the final battle goes from “Will they fuse into Gogeta and beat Broly?” to “Will Broly survive this fight?”

Vegeta not wanting to fuse makes total sense to me. He's willing to fight with others, including Goku, side by side, but he's still his own person. Fusing himself with another person erases who he is, even if only for a short time.
Vegeta is a very prideful person, and although he's gotten better over the series, his pride is still strong and very much a part of who he is. Yes he embarrassed himself before by dancing, but it was for the safety of the people he cared about, those are HIS people, the people HE cares about, they are HIS and his pride wouldn't allow that to be taken if he could do something to prevent it, even if that meant humiliating himself momentarily, he's still himself the entire time.
It makes sense, there's no issue with his reluctance. Having him go over the top a bit is for, as I see it, to relieve some of the tension, which is needed, as you can't really just keep upping the tension over and over and over again without diminishing returns for the viewer (or player in a game). Releasing some tension allows the viewer to get amped up again afterwards.

I like that this movie confirms that king vegeta is legit like 2 feet taller than his son
Well my head canon is that he gathered the dragon balls on the planets he conquered to grow 5cm at a time. XD
King Vegeta has always been huuuge, even in the old specials and the BoG movie and arc.
I remember of a couple of interesting theories for why Vegeta is so short compared to his father:
One says that it happened because Freeza starved him, or simply he didn't get enough nutrition(but that wouldn't justify why Raditz is a giant, so Freeza intentionally starving him makes more sense), and the other stating that Vegeta's body may just be growing very veeeeery slowly, this one is more or less canon(he did grew up a lot in height since the saiyan saga to Super, especially considering that he was supposed to be already a full grown adult at his first apparition) and slow growing saiyans are also mentioned in the DBS:Broly movie (referred to Goku if I well remember). Or maybe both, or maybe Vegeta's mother was shorter than Tarble's wife, who knows lol
@@DeadKraken This theory is immensely idiotic. If Freeza really treated Vegeta with such disrespect, he wouldn't be so disappointed that Vegeta actually betrayed him and he wouldn't mention how much he had pampered him. Vegeta is short simply because Akira Toriyama loves to go against the stereotype that small people are always weak and the big people are always strong. This is often why big guys are so weak compared to the small ones in Dragon Ball. Plus from a story's standpoint, it could be argued that Vegeta's small stature is an evolutional advantage, because with his small body he needs less nutrition to survive.
Why is vegeta so small? King vegeta is tall af and yet vegeta is far smaller, and also tarble is far smaller than vegeta. I mean wtf
@@JoshTheGamer their mom was very short
Never considered how Goku's most interesting to watch fight when he's losing, and how the opposite can be said for Vegeta, great deduction.
and that statement holds up even more when recounting character defining fights. goku (and piccolo vs raditz, goku vs vegeta, base goku vs frieza, goku vs cell, goku vs kid buu and goku vs beerus etc. has goku giving it everything he's got to keep up with his opponent. on the other hand vegeta vs goku, vegeta vs cui, vegeta vs dodoria/zarbon, vegeta vs android 19 and vegeta vs semi perfect cell has vegeta basically showing off and boasting on how strong he is
18:16 I think the reason Cheelai endangered herself like that was because she felt partially responsible that the fight escalated so far; from her perspective, she stole the remote and then the very next fight Broly was in, he became completely unreasonable and uncontrollable. That’s how I think of it, at least.

That was Friezas first loss. He probably fixated pretty heavily on that on his way to earth as mecha frieza and in hell after his death to trunks.
I thought it was specifically because it made goku become a super saiyan
@@smartyben101 It was. Freeza thought "Oh, Goku went Super Saiyan when I killed someone he really cared about, so..."

19:50 I’m actually gonna have to disagree with that personally. This film is the first dragon ball media I had ever consumed and I absolutely loved it. Of course I somewhat knew the characters like Goku and Vegeta simply because they’re iconic, but that was it. I knew nothing of the lore, yet this film was incredibly enjoyable for me. This film has become even more enjoyable after watching all of dragon ball (og through super), so you have a point that lore knowledge makers it better. The art is honestly my favourite style for Dragon Ball, period. It reminds me of the original Dragon Ball Z animation art style, but with much more resources put into it. DBS Broly looks how I envisioned DBZ to look had the show continued until now.
I wish this was how all of DBS looked. The current DBS style is alright, and for the most part, it works. I also understand that a simpler style is required on a for-TV budget and schedule. However, I think DBS Broly's softer, chalky colours and pencil linings really suits Dragon Ball's rough, yet malleable world and fight sequences.
Hopefully the Dragon Ball Team sees all of the positive feedback for this style, and continues to utilise it in future animations.

I thought the same thing. This is basic pavlovian conditioning really. I can understand not liking it, but there is PLENTY of psychology to back it up.
But when the elephant loses his temper and gets startled, you're pretty much fucked.
@@dermetaller15 Fair point, but nothing on that barren world would likely serve as a trigger for broly to get in that state.
You know even Disney reused old storyboarding. I don't think you can fault someone for using industry proven efficiency techniques.
Especially if the result is still sublime.
And especially when it’s 2D animation which is an incredibly labor intensive task. I remember seeing old tapes of the animators at Disney hard at work on their old 2D films and remembering the intensity of the process for such a pristine result. I can only imagine the sheer manpower in creating an entire 2D animated feature film that not only looks this good but has this much fucking movement!
In case you didn't know, the original script was estimated to be about 3 hours long, but was cut almost in half, likely due to budget constraints. I really wish they didn't cut it out, knowing Toriyama it probably would've fixed most of the issues this film had. Hopefully we see a more in-depth recreation in the anime.
A small detail I like but you didn’t mention was that when gogeta threw the stardust breaker/soul punisher and broly survived gogeta smiled and found out that broly is pure hearted (but he also did realize he was out of control)
The sphere of energy itself is the "Stardust Breaker", but the actual physical rush is the "Soul Punisher".
This makes my theory about Vegeta's personality taking control of Gogeta during the Full Charge Kamehameha scene more believable and after that, it was Goku's personality who took control.
If you guys remember in ToP, Vegeta now fights for much more humble reasons. During ToP, he fights for the safety of his family and his promise with Cabba. In DBS Broly, he trains with Goku for get more stronger in case Freeza decides to do something bad again. And during the fight with Broly, as Vegeta sees that he is out of control, he decides to finish Broly since he would be dangerous, principally for his family. And seeming that Gogeta was easily overwhelming Broly, it was the best opportunity to finish things once and for all.
But that failed and Broly was sent back to Vampa. Then, Goku's personality take control, as we see that he (as Gogeta) stopped Freeza from destroying Cheelai and Lemo's spaceship. Gogeta could've easily went to Broly through teleportation and finish him off but decided not to. And who was the one that knew Broly wasn't evil and had some interest on him? Goku. He even teleported to where Broly was and asked to train with him.
@@beneditoneto5811 You know Metamorean Fusion creates a personality that is different than both of the two fusees, right?
@@lookatmynose9788 But Benedito does have a good point tho.
@@notgalvatron1698 Well, I'd have to disagree there as well. Gogeta is a warrior of justice who fights strictly evil. He deemed that Broly wasn't evil with the Stardust Breaker failed to kill him, as that move, similar to the Spirit Bomb, only hurts those that are evil. However, since Broly didn't stop his rampage, Gogeta knew that for the sake of the planet, he would have to end things. And keep in mind we don't even know if that Kamehameha would've killed Broly. So I don't think anyone's personality necessarily dominated at any point in the fusion.

@@solarashes hey if you've got it, flaunt it
Yes.
I liked the editor's note about the collar because to me it was super obvious? It's like the whole "why doesn't she just leave him?" thing. He's been psychologically and physically abused his whole life. His father's abuse IS his whole life. As much as he wants to be free of it, he fears being without it because he doesn't know anything else. Even when parted from his father and speaking with Cheelai, he didn't allow her to speak ill of his father. Paragus had a deep, deep hold on Broly's mind.
One thing that this video missed is Goku's development as a character. When Goku went ssg he tired to contain Broly and talk to him rather than fighting him, this means that Goku has finally learned that his urge to fight strong opponents has serious consequences to the people he cares about, and he learned this from the tournament of power since he was the one who suggested the tournament to zeno, and could've gotten his universe wiped had he lost the tournament.
holy shit i never thought abt this...god this movie is amazing
Goku suggesting the tournament was a good idea because it gave his universe and the others a fighting chance. Otherwise, Zeno would have wiped them all out. But besides that, yes. Goku did likely learn his lesson.
It's also evident when he tells Broly to take it easy. You can tell he's trying to keep the fight safe with the safety of his loved ones and Broly in mind.
@@esteban8471 That's a super cool observation.
What really hits this home, is that he laments all the opponents he's fought as he's doing it - you can interpret that as Goku trying to prevent a similar case happening again, where his lust for battle forces the opponent to become stronger until they're out of control. I love this, because that's a Vegeta trait - meaning that in truth, it's probably a common Saiyan trait. Which is PERFECT because Vegeta carries the Saiyan culture and legacy with him, meaning traditional values, ie. the lust for battle, would be much more prominent in him.
It's incredible how much you can interpret that exchange.
I never understood why people say Goku was at fault for the Tournament of Power and the destruction of multiple universes. When he suggested the idea to Zeno, he never meant to imply that the losing team should be eradicated. In his eyes, the Tournament was meant to be a fun, friendly competition like the Martial Arts Tournament.
@@SaiyanGamer95 One could argue that, but *reminding* Zeno about the tournament after they'd apparently forgotten *was* his fault.
Cheelai paying Broly back by breaking the remote kind of turned out to be a mistake as it is what resulted in him being in this life and death situation to begin with. I think Cheelai felt responsible for that and that's what motivates her to get him out of it.
That makes sense
That is actually a good reason
It's a great reason, I wish the movie writers would have thought about it because until the movies states it we can't put our head canon into it. I think there are a few things this movie got wrong, I that I definitely do not enjoy
I'd assume they spent a lot more time together than what was shown since it takes a while to travel and even Whis, the fastest being in the universe, takes half an hour to travel from Beerus' planet to Earth. Broly's planet is nowhere near that far, but they were also in a much slower ship. Cheelai also feels very guilty because she and Lemo were the ones that found the innocent Broly on the planet and are the reason Frieza gets to use him as a weapon.
Nah.... She was getting wet when she sees Broly's muscles. That's why she saved him in the end.
10:17 This is like asking why people suffering abuse from partners or parents living with them don't simply leave or kick them out. There is a lot more emotional shackling that prevents this. Broly is completely obedient to his father. It is not a matter of being able to physically leave as it is a matter of being emotionally and mentally capable of doing so.
The last line was what sealed the deal that it was a great movie. Seeing Goku acknowledge his saiyan roots was extremely cathartic

2) animation
3) add more

Nigga, why ain't story on this list already
Actually i thought vegeta held his own better than goku did he got more hits in
One thing the movie doesn’t get enough credit for, is Broly’s progression (As a fighter)
They do an expert job of showing us how he slowly learns and adapts through his battle with Goku and Vegeta, and they implement it into his fight fantastically.
Some examples of his improvements:
-Learning to use Ki-blasts shortly after Vegeta uses one on him
-His very first punch is blocked by a cross-guard from Vegeta, when Vegeta tries it a second time Broly is able to punch through it
-Goku uses a move to Limit Broly’s movement, which Broly is able to immediately throw back at him
These are just a few examples, but I just really appreciate it, since they make his power increase that much more believable.
@ nigga that's strength and transformation. He's talking about him learning to be a better fighter
Montez Demarrco it’s gogeta not vegito lmao
He gains strength quickly and they easily explain it for us. Paragus had to cut his tail off at a young age, but broly figured out how to tap the oozaru forms power boost (x10) without changing form. Then, frieza kills paragus, using the rage to force him to transform into an SSJ. His big zenkai boost comes from his original powerlevel being high, and his spending 30 years fighting to survive on vampa.

C4Zero It was because he wanted to be taller in only his Final form and Golden form, but not any of his other forms. That was his answer
The funny part is that getting the Dragon Balls to be taller was something that Commander Red of the Red Ribbon Army wanted.
I think vegeta doesn’t like to fuse because he takes great pride in who HE is, fusing with goku not only means he is no longer himself but at the same time he thinks that goku is a ignorant idiot, yes he doesn’t like the stupid poses but he can get over that (BoG) but he is giving up his free will and combining his mind with goku that he knows he won’t like, this is also proved when the goku part of gogeta spares frieza, something that vegeta would never even consider doing

Probably because to him it seems strange for a man and another man to fuse, if you catch my drift.

I had to stop this at 16:25 due to your clear misunderstanding of vagetas character. He has never been down to fuse because he believes he can prove his superiority over by defeating an enemy Goku lost to. He just fought Jiren and didn't fuse, he was able to stand against him only due in part to his pride. Vageta is the prince of pride and would rather defeat any opponent on his own than to rely on kakarot, he is my favorite character in the series and for him to just throw in the towel and fuse without argument would take away from who he is as a character

@@patrickmulopo7957 Keyphrase: "one of". Vegeta actually dominated against Broly. He never got beaten down like Goku did.
@@patrickmulopo7957 The video covers the fights in detail. Broly never got to dominate Vegeta one-on-one. The latter didn't even resort to his SSB form in that round.
@@jp3813 Broly really only dominated Goku out of the three one-on-one fights. Vegeta took it easy on him, and he got completely outclassed by Gogeta.
@@patrickmulopo7957 He is saying that the video already answers your question in detail. Each fight serves a different purpose to push the narrative.
@@patrickmulopo7957 Struggling isn't the same as getting dominated. As the video pointed out, Vegeta was the one in control for most of the fight. Again, Totally Not Mark covers everything that's great about each fight. Remember, you said "not to argue". So don't.
I think that Cheelai's decision makes perfect sense in the end simply because Broly isn't a bad person and was only in this position in the first place because of his father, Frieza and them taking advantage of the man's mental health to make him lose control of who he is as a person and fight for them....He didn't deserve to die at all and any decent person would try to save him if they could
I've heard they used to train elephants by chaining them up when young and unable to break the chain so by the time they grow up and could they no longer even try because they've learnt they can't. Maybe Broly has a similar mindset regarding his collar?

This movie needs a more in depth review again. Like how the fact that Vegeta and Goku were pretty much almost the bad guy in this movie due to Frieza's very cunning manipulation. Broly started out fully conscious of the fight until he raged out, then worse when his father died. He was very sad and heartbroken. People love to say how Bardock is different from other saiyans bc he showed love for his son but completely ignore that Paragus loves his son as well. Taught him mannerism and how to be a decent person in society despite his learning disabilities. It was very tough to root for the Z team, Vegeta's royal ego made him blind to Broly's situation, goku at least tried talking to him but gogeta was too busy wailing on someone who just had a lost and just wanted to be left alone. When Broly realized how serious the situation was when he saw gogeta charging the Kamehameha, his fear kicked in, he clearly didn't want to fight, let alone die. Very emotional fight. I could keep going but I'd rather make a video lol if I ever get the dragon balls to do one 😅
Dead on, bro. The emotion in this movie was incredible. I totally fell in love with the cast of this film!
i have mainly one point i want to argue with in this review, that being how cheelai put her life on the line to save broly, along with all the point that mark had said, i think that there is one point that he missed and isnt really brought up in the movie, the being how she could feel responsible for broly going this far. there was a point where paragus was going to use the shock collar to stop broly and i think that cheelai would have realized that broly would have been stopped by his father if he still had said collar controller. so when she thought that broly was going to lose his life, she probably thought that she was the cause of it for taking the controller away making her go and at least try to save him even if it were to kill her
When you realise Frieza held off Broly way longer then both Vegeta and Goku combined
lol that's one of frieza's quality, his species' endurance. It's the reason why he managed to barely survive a planet explosion.
@@AWRShorts not to mention the absolute chad of a beating that Toppo gave him

@king emfj3201 No lol
@king emfj3201 Frieza couldn't land an hit on broly, he just pushed him back because of the pressure that the transformation does lmao, don't be a troll, broly it's not in jiren level but can beat frieza
I would assume that Vegeta's problem with fusion isn't the silly dance or the fact that it means siding with Goku -- you've explained that more than clearly enough -- but simply the fact that his pride still can't get over the act of literally becoming one with the one person he keeps trying to surpass. Even if it's just temporary.
Not trying to disprove your stance or anything. Just sharing what I feel could potentially be the creators' reasoning behind that moment.
I always thought it was something vegeta would do as a last resort. Vegeta would only fuse if it was his last resort. Due to his pride
I thought it was more because a saiyan shouldn't need help to defeat an enemy.
Agreed. That's what I got out of it.
Vegeta shouldn't even care about surpassing goku anymore tbh
@@cookingsauce8274 Why not? If someone strong appears and danger his family he's gonna leave the responsibility to protect his family to Goku?
Honestly thinking back on it now years later, I really don't mind the way they handled Goku's origin making it much closer of a Superman parallel, I can't believe that Akira Toriyama wasn't a bit influenced by Superman when coming up with Goku's origins. Making this origin canon just solidifies that feeling for me (and probably many others) and really I don't think that's bad, I just see it as a small homage to Superman, just offering up more feelings of nostalgia to a film already full of (in my opinion) great uses of nostalgia.
Glad this is back up. Tried to rewatch a few days ago and saw the strike
Bruh. You didnt even mention the fact that Goku calls himself Kakarot for the first time at the end of the film! Either way. Great video

Thats not important lmao,he did the same thing when with Saiyan Pride against Frieza, duh.
@@chuviis3508 the actual fuck? "not important"? Goku NEVER lets anyone call him kakarot besides full blood Saiyans, in this case only Vegeta and now Broly. It's a sign of respect if anything...but yeah ok...didn't mean anything ig

i remember seeing Vic Mignogna boldly saying with teary eyes that it was an honor and a privilege to be the voice of Broly in this movie, and i completely understand, to play such a loved character and portray them even better than before so passionately. i feel i would've had the very same sentiments if i was in his position, i wish i was able to meet him someday.
How many VA's get the chance to reprise a role they can't avoid being remembered doing, but with a better script this time? That's a glorious thing worthy of remembrance.

@@PermanentHigh go watch that then Z Broly sucks Atleast This Broly Has A Better Story and Life and doesnt go "kAkaRoooT" when he sees Goku.
While I can understand why people didn't like the fusion dance scene as it's inconsistent with character behaviour, I'm glad it was done because breaks between long sequences of action are a must for a story's pacing, there is such a thing as "too much action". Especially since we had Vegeta vs Broly then Goku vs Broly immediately after, making the sequence 15-30 minutes long.
Great effort put into this review and your passion is palpable! This was thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you!
I think Lanipator's quote represents Vegeta best "Vegeta is at his best when he's way on top and about to topple"
That's actually an interesting bit to his character. The longer he is winning, the more confident he is, the more the audience knows he is about to get bodied. That he is about to make some horrible mistake and it will all go wrong from there.
This movie, funnily enough finally explains why Bulma looks younger than Chi-Chi, who is younger than her.
Why

I Wonder If Bardock And Gine Know Everything Goku Has Done

It's too bad that (unless I'm wrong) Goku never really had the opportunity to meet them when he had died. But maybe, and this is just more speculation, Bardock knows that Goku has no attachment to him and it would be one awkward meeting.

@@magentapurpleyap5566 Tbh that's why he lost *most of* his Saiyan trait and didnt annihilate the whole Earth which is a good thing (?) But I do hope they rework that part of the story too since they made Bardock from a typical heartless culture-killer Saiyan to a more caring, almost human kind of character in this movie, so it can make more sense for Goku to be such a good man yet still carries the lust for battle of a Saiyan as he inherits it from his father, and the fall just made him stupid rather than forget anything since his father from what we can see is pretty smart lol
