I have a Road Glide Ultra and I love it. I don’t ride it nearly as often as I like; bike gangs, heat and constant concern that it will just stop moving. In response to my concerns I looked at this. I just picked up this 18 Voyager and the Harley is up for sale. My only regret is that I bought the Harley before seeing this . This bike is a beast and it has all the dependability that Metrics have. I’m certain that I will get at least 150k+ miles with routine maintenance. I have had 2 metrics in the past and never had any issues what so ever. CONGRATS! You’re going to love it.
I have owned numerous Kawasaki motorcycles over the last 45 years. In fact, Kawasaki is pretty much all I've owned, with just a few from Honda & Suzuki. My current primary commuter bike is a Vulcan 900 Classic. But I'm wanting to spend more time on long trips, and the more I look & research, I have to say, I really want a Voyager. That Candy Cardinal Red & Metallic Graystone paint job is really nice. Every video like this one I find is just pushing me closer to buying one. Just have to figure out how long I can hide it from my wife. Great video, thanks for sharing.
I had a Vulcan 800 I traded in for this one. I wish I didn’t trade it in now. Would love to still have it for local rides. Loved it. Hope it works out for you to get the 1700 Voyager. Rides like a dream. Who knows…your wife may be glad you did after she takes a ride! 😉
@@drayoutdoors8981, that's the toughest part, deciding if I trade in the Classic, or buy the voyager as a second ride. I've been really bad over the years. At one point I had over 30 motorcycles, but I had to sell most of them because it was costing to much to maintain & store them.
30 bikes. Man, you’re my hero. Literally a different ride for each day of the month lol. I will probably get a smaller ride for local trips but but I’m definitely hanging on to the Voyager. 2 bikes are good enough for me. Have fun riding!
Personally I love the bike it’s the reason I clicked on the video. I want one! It’s nice to have all that storage space and well thought out as well as the upper and lower fairings plus a gas gage, tachometer and a radio it’s everything I want on my bike the only thing I’m not a fan of is 900 lbs.
Great to hear from you. I appreciate your post. I love everything about it. Actually I don’t even notice the weight of the bike. It seems balanced extremely well and no issues touching the ground. You wouldn’t regret it!
I have a dressed out ultra but I also have an older Yamaha Royal Star. Doesn’t matter what you ride if you are comfortable and like it. It doesn’t matter too much what other people say. That is a pretty color on that bike
I have a 2013 with 11k miles, and an 08 Goldwing. Absolutely beautiful paint combo on the Voyagers. I have the Cobra slip-ons, and yes they are loud at highway speeds. The Ivan ECU tune is a must! What a difference. I added a hockey puck to the kickstand base since the bike leans so far over...huge difference. I listen to SIRIUS radio through its radio most of the time; having the rear speakers makes a world of difference. What I don't like is that there aren't a lot of aftermarket add ons...it seems like I am proliferating from other manufacturers to get what I need. As for the liquid cooled engine, it's only the heads so it still runs hot like all of the other v-twins. My wing is truly liquid coed and never runs hot! Turning the page. These bikes have a lot of shortfalls just like every other bike manufactured. Enjoy your ride...it will take you anywhere you need to go! Much respect for the bike intro. Thanks
@@richperdue9344 I bought a plastic hockey puck and drilled two screws through the kick stand. It eliminates some of the lean and provides a larger base when resting on the ground
Thanks for the kind words. Sweden...never been there but would love it some day. I think that it would be a beautiful place to ride. Best wishes from the U.S.
Best looking bike I've seen! Don't bother with the naysayers. You out riding carefree, while their still making payments, years after your done. Like you said "It's all about the riding". RIDE ON!!! Everything else is B.S. It kind of reminds me of the single guy, who kept getting flack from his married friends about being single. You need to get a girl and settle down and buy a house with a white picket fence. Guess what? He did get married and now all he hears about from his married friends is about all the complaining about all the problems with being married and owning your home. That white picket fences always needs fixing! It's the "gang mentality". They want you to be just like them even through all their mistakes, which they won't admit to, so you won't get a better deal and you have to suffer with them. Listen to your gut, and you did. Halleluya!!! THANKS AGAIN FOR POSTING YOUR VIDEO. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY "BEAUTIFULL". BEST OF SHOW, FOR SURE.
What a beautiful machine. My 2007 Nomad has just about that identical color scheme. I see a LOT of the Nomad structure in the Voyager. Mine is a 1600cc 5 speed. 86k miles on mine and still running beautifully. The bag support structure on the back, plate/turn signal, and those chrome runners between the fender and the bags are the same on mine. I never changed the exhaust on mine. I was always afraid of making it TOO loud but that V&H exhaust note sounds sweet. I have also never done any changes to my ECU but I have never had smoothness or power issues. When shopping for an upgrade for my last bike I did also look at the Harley option, but it was WAY more expensive. I put 115k miles on my 98 Vulcan A model and figured another Vulcan would do just as well. So far that is turning out to be true. Enjoy!
Great post. I don’t have a single regret on owning this bike. It’s more than met my expectations. The V&H slip-ons do make the bike sound “meaner” but not overbearing. I did notice when i wear a full helmet it seems to amplify the sound in the helmet. Didn’t care for that. I usually wear a half helmet and the sound, to me, is perfect. I hear the music great and it seems like a perfect mix. Hoping to get many miles on this bike. Got it to ride not sit in the garage and be pampered. At this price, after a 100,000 miles or so I can afford another one then! Even at 10,000 miles a year (which is a lot for most people) that’s 9 or 10 years down the road. Worth every bit of that $14,000 price tag. Approximately $1,400 per year. I can do that!
Beautiful color. These bikes are very dependable. I've got 22,000 on my '15 now with 0 repairs. Just oil changes and tires and a few upgrades(RDL seat and Pioneer stereo/Polk amp and 6.5 speakers). Enjoy her.
That's a very nice bike. Don't worry about what others think of your bike. I just bought a 2017 Voyager 3 months ago. I really wanted a bike with color (red or blue) but I came across a sweet deal on the black & gray model. It has a green pinstripe that really "pops." This bike already had the Cobra Tri-Flows on it as well as Kuryakyn grips with low miles and priced right. I was looking at the Kawasaki's, not really wanting to join the Harley "club" when a nice looking 2014 Electra glide caught my attention at a dealership. I decided to take it for a spin. To make a long story short, that bike never would start. It was eating batteries and after coming back another day to find it was still acting up I said "that's it, no Harley." I almost got bit by the Harley bug and I'm glad it showed its unreliable traits sooner rather than later. So, I CHOSE to buy a Kawasaki Voyager for their reliability and better pricing. ( not paying for all the weekend parties at the HD Dealership.) After investing in the Ivan's ECU flash I am very happy with my road beast! Ride safe and often.
Great bike I have a 17 Voyager after owning a couple of bikes up in the $30grand range I thought I would try one of these I picked up an 09 to try and realized how good the bike is. Traded on the 17 . Now I have half the cash tied up and still have a great bike
I've been riding for 50 years. I've had Harley Yamaha and Suzuki and Honda. If you're a biker, it's about riding. If you're a poser, it's about the brand. I've had 3 Harley touring bikes and they are amazing, but my favorite touring bike is the Yamaha Royal Star Venture (Gen 2). I'm riding a Harley Heritage Softail now. A bike I've had 16 years and put 87,000 trouble free miles on it. I love Harleys! I want to get another touring bike for my wife and I. The Kawasaki is priced right and I've read great things about them. If I can't find a nice low mileage used Gen 2 Venture, I'll go with the Kawi.
I own a Goldwing. I've been wanting a Voyagef for the past 15 years though. Pretty machine you got there. I owned a Nomad and crashed it to pieces in 2002. I'll have another Kawasaki soon.
@@drayoutdoors8981 // 2012 Wing and 2007 Vulcan (bobbed). Awesome machines. Would love to add either a bobbed Nomad or Voyager and make a removable top bag.
That bike's a beauty. I'm a sport touring bike kind of guy but at 68 find myself looking more at something like you have right there. Maybe when it comes time for another bike. 😎
Nice bikes, comfy on long journeys but also easy round town. I got the 2011 in silver (well Kawasaki say silver but us more champagne) ride safe boys n girls 🤟
Nice bike I own a 1700 road star with 88000 miles on it would love to have one of these bike you ride it you don't work on it you will be riding yours when others are thinking about it in joy the ride
Nice bike just as good as the American ones plus a lot less expensive. I wanted one but have never owned a American one so i bought the Roadmaster this was my second choice it rides nice good power and it looks good.
Kawasaki did a great job on the Voyager and the Vaquero They are beautiful bikes and ride like a dream my first bike I ever bought in 2015 when I got my license was a broken vaquero 1700 ABS that was the most beautiful bike I ever own it shows me soon as I sit on it I knew it was the bike with me. They will built, low cost maintenance, I am very reliable.
beautiful man, i have a 2012 vulcan 1700 classic with windscreen and bags , i went for the road king style but same motor as yours but with the cobra pipes and power commander and it has tons of power , love it , the vulcans are every bit as good as any HD that i also have
Beautiful machine. I have two Harleys now. Considering the Voyager, Challenger and Goldwing for my next bike. I wish Kawasaki had more dealers, some don't even carry the Voyager.
I may still get a good used Harley for local rides. Really want one. However, for my long rides and trips...the Voyager for sure. Thanks for your comment!
@@drayoutdoors8981 Good luck! There is a great selection of used HDs out there. Overall, I have been very pleased with my HDs. One big complaint I have is the cam chain tensioner system for the TC88 engine. Be sure to ask if the cam chain tensioners have been updated if you look at a TC88 engine.
Just got my second Voyager. Had a 2010, now a 2019. Virtually no change in the bike. Hate to burst your mpg bubble, but I believe your display is set to UK value. At 52 mpg UK, that converts to 43mpg US , which is exactly where my 2 bikes have been.
al adam Good eye Al. I caught that as well after I did the video. You’re exactly right. I’m averaging 42 mpg US. Not a deal breaker by any means. I think I’ll keep it. Glad to hear you stuck with the Voyager.
You made a very wise decision in choosing this bike over a Harley. This bike would be more dependable and reliable than that of Harley. This bike would also be cheaper to maintain and spend less time at the dealership than a Harley.
Screw the Harleys dude that is a great bike! I've been riding for 25 years and learned on a Harley and rode nothing but until this year. I bought a used Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe which I love. I'm thinking though of a Vulcan Voyager like yours or a Royal Star Venture. Both are great for long trips with more storage space. Although my Tour Deluxe is great too. Bottom line you buy what you want and enjoy it.
I’m hearing that a lot lately. No doubt Harley is it an incredible bike. However, there’s been a lot of changes and I’m hearing a lot of people looking in different directions. Great comment and I appreciate your post. I agree there are a lot of great rides out there and you got to pick the one that suits you the best. It’s all about the riding. The voyager, however, is one smooth touring machine.
Good looking bike! I'd take it cross country. My cuzn has a Road Glide. He removes his 3rd bag aka pizza box all the time. So yeah if you can get yours to do that it would be great. ( Off& on when you like) thanks for sharing
Slava Zavalin I Agree. I’ve already Ivanized. Mentioned it in the video. What a difference. They are great bikes. Totally happy with my choice. Ride on!
I have the 2010 version not much has changed by the look of this updated version. As far as the audio goes I would have expected Bluetooth or Apple/Android play. Yes you can add the mods but it ought not to be necessary and it wouldn't be expensive to add. I notice the extra fan behind the seat to draw the heat from the exhaust away from the rider's legs. This is a good bike and comfortable ride. 6Speed gear box and cruise control make for a great day on the road.
Great comment. I agree. By today’s standards they could easily add Bluetooth in the package. Not a deal breaker and, as you stated, it’s an easy add on. Fifth gear is actually enough but that 6th gear is killer cruising on the highway. Love this bike!
Thanks Michael. I went with the Voyager because of the touring package but customized it so I could take off the trunk easily and ride as a Vaquero as well. Here is a video of a guy who modified his trunk. It’s where I got the idea and I did the same thing to mine. Check it out. ruclips.net/video/YGpCfReVdo4/видео.html
@@drayoutdoors8981 just went and looked Saturday at the local dealer here, they have a blue one in stock. The wife loves it. Like you said, I too was looking at a 2018 Street Glide but that is a big nugget. Definitely going with the Kawasaki. Great bike for half the price. Great video by the way.
I'm about to go through the same thing next year I just sold my Vulcan Nomad and I absolutely love that bike but caught tremendous ridicule... my choices are to either restore a Road King I can afford or move onto a Vaquero.. a Vaquero is exactly what you described without the tour pack.. it all comes down to how well I save my pennies over the winter
There are other differences between the Voyager and the Vaquero. The biggest being the for lights are installed on the Voyager. Second, the passenger floorboards are on a Voyager only.
I wanted the blue originally as well. I’m pretty partial to blue. I got a great deal on this bike and couldn’t pass it up. After having it for a bit I’m really digging the red. No regrets at all!
Great bike I have a 2011 Kawasaki Vulcan voyager it's literally the same bike just different color and for Bluetooth you can get a Bluetooth transmitter in the charging outlet works just as good but these bike are perfect and maintenance costs is low to the only thing about these bike the speakers are not the best there ok Harley Davidson does have them beat as far as speakers but you can easily upgrade them
I 100% agree. I do have a Bluetooth hooked up. I never listen to the radio. Always playing something from the phone. Definitely should swap out the speakers though. So far I haven’t minded the quality of sound though.
I’ve watched a lot of his videos. You’re exactly right. It’s all about being out there and riding. So many people can’t see the forest through the trees getting hung up on whether it’s this bike or that bike. It’s all about the journey and riding. Thanks for your comment Dustin.
Sorry it took me a bit to comment back. I hear ya on the black! I’m partial a bit as well. My car is black. My clothes are black. I do like my bike color though. Get yours soon!
Didn’t have to do any changes at all putting on the Vance & Hines. However, I did have the emissions control unit flashed to make the bike run better overall.
Watched your video - love the look. I bought this in Trike, (CSC), 2010 - last year. Still struggling with some of the audio connection issues that you highlighted. I took notes on your thoughts, but would love some other specifics on what you bought to enable connection to your phone. Noticed you’re in Indiana - love the Hoosier state. Is there a way to connect? KK
Keith Kirkpatrick Here is a link with a video of the same Bluetooth I used. No wiring involved. You use the factory connection already on the bike. It’s simply a plug and play. The Bluetooth is called Car Pro. If you have any other questions let me know. ruclips.net/video/rLQ3UhihiyI/видео.html
Len...yes it’s made a huge difference. Night and day! Getting the ECU flashed is like having a new bike entirely. I was a little concerned how the bike was running before. It’s a must if you get one. You won’t regret it. Love this bike.
how are you still liking the bike? I have the 2019 for the SAME reason, VALUE!!! have you found and good after market apes for the bikes? did you remove the tour pack??
Love it! What a nice ride. I’m pretty sure you meant pipes right? I did get some but can’t find my receipt or remember now where I got them. Vance & Hines. I did modify the trunk for easy on/off. Works great! Love the look too. Enjoy your ride.
Nice video. I am thinking about getting a 2015 Voyager. Now that you have had time to ride, do you still like the bike?Love the bike? have regrets? Does it feel heavy and top heavy? I know it is heavy and works well on the xpressway, how about around town? Thanks for any advice.
Hey thanks for your post. I would absolutely buy it again. I love this bike. They are definitely heavy but balanced well when not moving. Not too heavy at all. Easy to handle in town as well. I actually thought at one time of getting a smaller bike for in town riding but actually there’s no need. I ride this bike everywhere. And, yes, it rides amazing. Very comfortable. Cruises the highways and interstates like a dream. No regrets at all. The only suggestion is to have the emissions control unit redone if it hasn’t been already. The factory setting is no good. It makes it an entirely different bike for sure.
@@KenkesStadler Yes. Sent mine to him and got it back within days. Can’t believe the difference it made. It’s a must. The last thing I wanted was to be out on the highway trying to pass somebody and feeling like the bike is choking out. That will never happen when you get it back from him. Enjoy your purchase and the ride friend!
Where did you get the V&H from and what is the part number? I looked up their website and they don't show anything for that bike. I just bought the exact same machine, color and year.
I’ve not been able to track down my invoice and I can’t remember where I ordered them from. if I do I’ll let you know for sure! Thanks for the comment and I’m glad you enjoy your bike as much as I do mine.
I do want the trunk. It’s an added luxury that is definitely a benefit to have. However, if I’m riding alone there are times when it’s nice to be able to just take it off. So that’s what I did. I modified it so I can just take it off and put it on as needed
Still have it. It has about 8500 miles on it. Haven’t taken a long road trip for some time now. Mostly local riding. Still love it and will be keeping it for a long time.
Harleys are like jeeps, you pay for riding the name and not for the quality they used to be. Like any American vehicle. Is all about the money. The worst part of it is that they don't care about the loyalty of the people who would pay for the name so they will keep doing It as long as they have that loyalty.
Unfortunately you’re exactly right. Much like most companies anymore. Most have forgotten the customer satisfaction and service end of things. At least I can buy my bike for half the price and it’s perfect for me. All I need!
It's a beautiful bike i've been looking at one for the last year. I'd buy blue from 2019 i'd buy red from 2018. I just can't bring myself to buy these ugly grey and black ones they have had for 2020 and 2021. I love harleys too but this is half the money but not half the bike. It's a no brainer.
Superb video! Your bike is stunning, aka gorgeous! And, it looks plushly comfortable. Can you add a driver's back rest? I have an older Vulcan 900 LT Classic and would like to have a little more power, especially when my wife rides along with me, and the additional storage and other features would be sweet. You are spot on when you say the cost compared to a Harley-Davidson is much less. I love the Harley motorcycles, but my pocket book says "you can't afford one." This bike is a possibility. I appreciate your post and your candor. Great post!
Tasting The Apocalypse Thanks for the awesome comments. Yes you can put a driver backrest on these bikes. Have seen many with them. I took a bike ride to Pennsylvania on an 800 cc Vulcan. I had no windshield and the rest of the riders were running about 80-85 mph. I got beat to death and I thought the bike was going to explode running at that pace. First thing I did when I got back was picked up this bike. So glad I did. I want to ride it all the time. No regrets!
Any comments, good or bad, on the suspension? The lack of a good suspension on my Road Glide Special took a toll on my wife and she eventually told me she wouldn't ride with me anymore because of it. Air shock in the rear? What's your wife's opinion as a passenger on it?
It does have air suspension. Can be adjusted. I got the bike just last fall so my wife hasn’t had a chance to ride it with me yet. I can’t tell you from that experience how it is but I can tell you from my own experience that it is one of the smoothest riding bikes I’ve ever been on. I feel like I could ride it all day long. I can only imagine for a passenger that is probably a pretty good ride as well.
Yes I did. Very easy. You do have to grind a little extra off to make room for the trim. Very happy with the results. Used a marker for a guide where to grind. Go slow and a little at a time. Better to take a little off and then a little more if needed than too much at once. There may be another way but the grinder made pretty quick work of it
Would like to know where you bought your pipes? I bought a 2019 Voyager and cant seem to find pipes for it. Even went direct to Vance and Hines. Any advice?
Ray Bright Ray, I have looked & looked to find some for you. Running into the same thing. I’m trying to find me receipt to help help you out but no luck so far and now I can’t remember where I found them. I’ll keep looking and if I run across the receipt or find some somewhere else I’ll be sure to let you know.
Ray Bright, I found them for my 2020 Voyager but had to do search for a 2014. The only difference I found was that the 2020 has O2 sensor on the side of the slip-on and the V&H for 2014 does not. If that makes sense. To keep the sensor, I drilled a hole to mount on in same general area as stock.
Being a FORMER HD rider, who cares if other people have an issue with you bike? They are not paying for it, they are not paying for the gas, for the maintenance, for repairs, for insurance, etc, etc, and etc. When I sold my Harley (an AMF period piece of crap that kept breaking down and leaving me stranded out in the middle of nowhere, before cellphones) I had friends that tried to give me a hard time. I told them that if they were willing to buy me a Harley, I would be glad to ride it. I always say that my butt cannot ready anyway, so what does it matter what the sticker on the gas tank says! Nice looking bike, love that color scheme. I'm thinking about buying another Kawi, I have one now, but they are blue and white. The current color is OK, but I like the color on yours a lot more. Do you still have it and how is it running for you? Any issues with the Voyager?

Peter Tantillo Ya Peter. It’s a pretty heavy bike to be backing up. Have to think ahead when parking. I love it though. Just made some modifications so I could take the trunk off and put it back on in about three minutes. Looks great with the trunk off like a bagger bike.

Not bad at all. I know some people have been concerned about it but it’s not too loud at all. I love the fact that I can punch it a bit and get the nice rumble I like but when I back down to cruising speed it’s right in that zone where I can still listen to my music with no issues and it doesn’t get overbearing after a while. It’s not at the Harley level and that’s ok with me. It’s bad enough. The pipes sound so much better than the video portrays.
@@drayoutdoors8981 thanks so much. I'm considering buying this bike and will probably upgrade the exhaust. That helps. My present Yamaha 950T had the Cobra slash cut on it. It sounds nice but at cruising speed it's still really loud and does get annoying after awhile.
Van Guy It’s a great ride. I don’t think you would be disappointed. If the V&Hs get to you after a while, you can always put the stocks back on and unload the V&Hs pretty easily. There’re pretty sought after pipes. Best of luck.
Very nice, same reasons I bought one as well, buy 2 for the price of a Harley, has all the features and then some, and like you said its all about the riding anyways, each to there own
Only thing I hate about the bike is the way that seat rides up the fuel tank. What's the fuel capacity? 51 mpg is awesome! You can take the key out once the bike is started. And turn it off without key.
The tank is only 5.3 gallons. I would like to see a bigger tank on a tour bike but it’s not a deal breaker for me. I made a mistake on the mileage as well. When I shot the video I had the mileage on UK setting. So the actual U.S. mileage average is 42 miles per gallon. Sorry for misleading. So far I love everything about the bike. It rides like a dream.
@@drayoutdoors8981 seems like 5.3 is their standard for cruisers. Is what I got on my 09 Vulcan. Same 40-45 mpg. Would you happen to know what year the black model came out?

@@guycourtney736 Thanks I'll see what I have laying around the shop. The bike does lean over too far on side stand for sure.
What a beaut. Love the color. Greetings from Sweden,Scandinavia.
Thanks for the kind words. Sweden...never been there but would love it some day. I think that it would be a beautiful place to ride. Best wishes from the U.S.
Your bike is better than a harley for half the price.
Nice ride man. I was honestly shocked when I saw how cheap these are compared to HD and other full touring bikes. A lot of bike for the money!
Yeah cost wise there’s no comparison. It’s a great ride too. No regrets at all. Thanks for the comment.
You’re absolutely correct. Just got back from our annual family ride and averaged 44.2 mpg. Good call! Thanks for posting.
Enjoy her.
Sounds like a sweet ride yourself. Thnx for the comments
Great share man. Sounds like your bike is set up and ready! Getting it Ivanized is a game changer. Bet those Cobras sound great as well. Good riding.
Nice bike and I love those colors, sounds really mellow and exciting at the same time, good choice, ride safe any enjoy!
Thanks Mark. I agree on the colors. Love the look and the Vance & Hines slip-ons do sound amazing. Even better in person. Thanks for posting!
Great bike I have a 17 Voyager after owning a couple of bikes up in the $30grand range I thought I would try one of these I picked up an 09 to try and realized how good the bike is. Traded on the 17 . Now I have half the cash tied up and still have a great bike
My sentiments exactly. Thanks for the comment. Enjoy riding!
Have the same bike, identical.
Wonderful machine!
Getting flash done this week.
You’ll love it. Night and day difference. Couldn’t believe the change it made. Enjoy riding! Thnx for the comment
Your Vulcan is outstanding. I’m thinking of getting one like it.
You won’t regret it. It’s a great bike.
One of the best looking tourers there is imo.
I have to agree Carolina! I have absolutely no regrets. Love this bike.
I own a Goldwing. I've been wanting a Voyagef for the past 15 years though. Pretty machine you got there. I owned a Nomad and crashed it to pieces in 2002. I'll have another Kawasaki soon.
Wow. Glad you survived the crash and still riding. Hope you get the bike you’re looking for soon!

Nice bike just as good as the American ones plus a lot less expensive. I wanted one but have never owned a American one so i bought the Roadmaster this was my second choice it rides nice good power and it looks good.
Thanks Chona. Yeah, I have no regrets purchasing this bike. Rides like a dream. That’s the important thing…riding.
I got 2017, and I love it! great bike to have couldn't see spending over 30k for bike...
I hear ya brother. Just as much bike for a lot less money. No regrets!
Be sure to ask if the cam chain tensioners have been updated if you look at a TC88 engine.
e b Thanks for the heads up
That’s a beautiful bike I love ❤️ how they look.
I totally agree. Thanks for sharing
Glad to hear you stuck with the Voyager.
with the speedo being off around 5 mph, how accurate is the mpg according to that trip computer?
@@drayoutdoors8981 That still good I get around that on my VTX 1300s

You made a very wise decision in choosing this bike over a Harley. This bike would be more dependable and reliable than that of Harley. This bike would also be cheaper to maintain and spend less time at the dealership than a Harley.
I have the same 2018 and love it!!
Congratulations and I plan to get the same bike!
Love my 2015 Voyager and I could care less about a radio. Nice bike, enjoy!
I just had my ECU flashed two months ago.
And what a difference
Yeah, its pretty amazing the difference. Like having a new bike entirely. Enjoy!
I like it and for half the price of the competition you can’t go wrong

@@drayoutdoors8981 yeah, I saw this right after I posted my comment :)
nice bike!
I had a 125 honda enduro at 12 years old, a honda Goldwin a honda 1300 and now a kawasaki concours 1400 ,all excellent bikes
Sounds awesome 👏
Nice bike and good presentation. I've been contemplating between purchasing a pre-owned KAWA Voyager, Vaquero, or Honda 750 shadow.
Thanks Michael. I went with the Voyager because of the touring package but customized it so I could take off the trunk easily and ride as a Vaquero as well. Here is a video of a guy who modified his trunk. It’s where I got the idea and I did the same thing to mine. Check it out.

Good deal. Just had a great ride today. Near 60* in Indiana. Enjoy the bike. Get it Ivanized! It’s a must if it hasn’t been yet. Good riding.
Very nice!
Ride what you like and to hell with those who ridicule you for it. The “Harley or nothing attitude” is one of the reasons I will never own one.
Pretty bike thanks for the video I am thinking about getting one myself.
Jeff Lesak Thanks Jeff. Great choice. Won’t regret it
That's my dream bike , the only thing I would have done different was got it in blue. 👍👍

Willa Jabir Actually had it on the wrong setting. Wasn’t US Mileage. It’s around 42 mpg US. Nice catch!

As Sean as SRK Cycles said, It's not what you're riding, but where you're going.
I’ve watched a lot of his videos. You’re exactly right. It’s all about being out there and riding. So many people can’t see the forest through the trees getting hung up on whether it’s this bike or that bike. It’s all about the journey and riding. Thanks for your comment Dustin.
SRK sort of fell off the planet.
Superb. :-)
I’m amazed as too the mileage some of you get on your Voyages, I get about 35/40mpg.
Running about 42 mpg on average.
Is the ECU flashed by IVAN? Also depends on how aggressive you ride.
Amen bro.
I love it and gonna buy one someday but for some reason I think bikes should be black nice ride man
Sorry it took me a bit to comment back. I hear ya on the black! I’m partial a bit as well. My car is black. My clothes are black. I do like my bike color though. Get yours soon!
Nice ride, now did you had to do anything to the carburetor or anything else on the bike after you install the V&H pipe?

Did you keep factory air intake?
No I haven’t changed it out and I don’t think I need to. There’s plenty of torque and power.
Y didn’t you buy Vaquero if you don’t want trunk?
I do want the trunk. It’s an added luxury that is definitely a benefit to have. However, if I’m riding alone there are times when it’s nice to be able to just take it off. So that’s what I did. I modified it so I can just take it off and put it on as needed
So, do you still have the bike? If so how many miles you put on it since 4 years ago?
Ha I hear ya. You need a 2018-19. Go get one man. Hope it works out for you!
Have you done the mode, trunk removal?? Was that hard ??
Yes I did. Very easy. You do have to grind a little extra off to make room for the trim. Very happy with the results. Used a marker for a guide where to grind. Go slow and a little at a time. Better to take a little off and then a little more if needed than too much at once. There may be another way but the grinder made pretty quick work of it
Thinking of getting the blue 2019 one.....i heard the temperature gauge runs hot on these....have you noticed that ....
K Nelson Yeah a little. It helped when I got ECU Ivanized. Makes it run so much better as well.
Cant beat a metric..
Absolutely no complaints
@@raulv8497 Glad you found some. It’s been a couple months now, what are your thoughts?
Love the V & H pipes.
When you are cruising at 65 - 70 mph on highway, are they loud then ?
Set to "MPG UK" 52 mpg UK = 43 mpg US just an fyi
Very nice, same reasons I bought one as well, buy 2 for the price of a Harley, has all the features and then some, and like you said its all about the riding anyways, each to there own
Jonathon Tsamantanis Well said my friend
