I have a 2014 model of this bike. The rear passenger area is a little smaller than some others on the market but can be fixed. Suspension does have to be adjusted manually but you might expect that on a bike that costs a lot less than others. I’m 6’1 220lbs with 34” inseams. I have plenty of room. Also this bike has plenty of torque. I ride 1up, 2 up and tow a trailer with no problems. Many 2500mi trips says for the money these bikes are hard to beat.
I bought a 2015 with the Ivan flash already done which is a must. My wife and I have plenty of room, but she's pretty small so it all depends on your stature. We both love the ride!
My wife and I have ridden thousands of miles comfortably on this bike 2 up. We have plenty of room. We are of normal weight 180-170 and sometimes pull a trailer. My bike has been Ivanized and runs great. Has plenty of power and if you’re having the marshmallow feel, learn how to adjust the suspension. This machine loves the highway and I love this bike. 53,000 miles and climbing.
That's what I was thinking. Tons of room on this bike. I'm 6'1" 220 and my wife is 5'9" 130 and zero issues. The guy also has no clue that you can adjust the suspension.
Did you pump up the 4-way rebound dampening rear shocks for the load that was going to be on the bike? This is critical when riding with a passenger. I don’t mean to be rude but you and your passenger greatly exceed the load limit of this bike which is 400lbs. So if you didn’t inflate the rear shocks properly that would cause the feeling of a “marshmallow ride”. I rode this bike with my wife and found tons of room and the suspension was great. I’m 6” and 210lbs, she is 5”5’ at 145 lbs. good luck with your bike search
You are totally correct. I have a new 2020 and it would be a mess if i was a 300 pound lard butt and then took another 300+ passenger. That's why he thinks there is no room on the bike.
I own a 2010 version of this bike. I realise you're doing a test ride but to be fair to the bike and the purpose it is intended for you need to get it out on the open road and get it up to speed. In Australia, where I live, the national speed limit is 110km/h. This is how you should ride this bike it is not a bike for the stop/start riding of the city or commuter belt. The 6th gear is a highway over drive and when you couple that with the cruise control you get a good ride on the highway. I've ridden mine 2 up and had no problems with room for both rider and pillion but of course you're not in a car. Everybody is different based on their body type, leg and arm length but I've found the bars and the screen set up quite comfortable. The screen keeps the wind off, it can be removed if required. Opening the lowers/leg shields would give some airflow. I've clocked up over 90K/kms on mine and I've enjoyed every one of them. Other commenters have suggested you check the air pressure in the rear shocks if you finding the ride a bit soft especially with 2 on board.
I had the Stratoliner and my wife loved it but I did not like the small fuel tank and only five gears so I traded it for the Vision and lost some passenger space but I had plenty of space up front.
Does ivanizing make the bike faster/stronger in either top or bottom end? Ive been hearing about it but dont know what it does. Im considering switching from goldwing (f6b) because of the knee sitting position.
@@tombstone1811 I ended up getting a Harley Electra glide , similar in size. Turning takes some confidence and backing the bike out of spots is a little tough lol. Have to pay attention where I park but besides that it’s been great!
You helped me seal the deal. I really like your "marshmellow" description. That's the luxury ride I've been looking for so I'm going to test drive one of these bikes.. I'm one of the few left who haven't been brain washed by the so-called professional reviewers who tell folks that they should spend 2 - 3 times the price on a bike or car so they can "feel the road". Which in reality means the manufacturer saved thousands because there is no suspension and they've got all of you believing that is luxury. The more money I spend the more disconnected from the road I want to be. Ever heard of a Rolls Royce or Bently? If you've ever ridden in one you know that you don't "feel the road" and that my fiend is true luxury.
Oh! I got it. Yamaha Venture and you don't have to get a new one. The old ones have a V-four engine and a 5speed trans while the new ones have a V-twin and six-speed. Way better for Two up.
I thought I was watching the movie, experiment in terror with Stefanie Powers. If you have seen that movie, you will know exactly what I’m talking about. was there any excess heat being poured off of the engine/radiator. That is the one thing that would prevent me from buying one of these motorcycles, excess heat. I see by your videos you are interested in pocket knives and hunting knives I have a calamus, electricians knife that went through World War II in the Pacific, in the navy
So, here are your choices, Goldwing but no V-twin, Vision or Cross Country no longer made and Yamaha Venture 2018 plenty of room V-twin tons of power but will not outrun the Gold wing, sorry.
You are literally the only person I have ever heard complain about this bike. How funny.

Good to know. I wanna do CA-NYC/Ground Zero.

Two big people makes everything tighter.

100
You can get a trunk slide and move the tour pak back so you both have more room
Lift the seat to access the valves for the rear air shocks. Handlebars just needs adjustments, minor stuff to Taylor to your needs and comfort.
Y'all may need a trike with overload springs. 😂😂😂

Nice review. Covers all aspects. good sound quality at the highway speeds.
Glad you enjoyed it
I don’t use 6th gear anywhere below 70mph... she loves a little higher RPMs, lugs a lot less!
lose the gut and youll have plenty of room
I own a Kawasaki 1700, and I used to own the 1500 intruder, both great bikes!
I have never seen anyone complain about a voyager in any RUclips video. Even like the bigger channels. Sure you know your motorcycles?

Looking at one tomorrow, I’m 5’7 , 155lbs
Do you think it would be tough to ride?
Let me know how was it?.

You need a Victory Vision Big Guy or a Yamaha Venture.
If someone buys this bike... get the Ivan Tune to get rid of the jerky feel... new nexk/steering bearings as well..
Adjust the rear shocks.
O m g how do put your shoes in the morning
Yeah, These bikes have big room. The Voyager is a good choice for one-up riding and you can't beat the price and it is water cooled.

Sir you are one hell of rider for sure👍👍
Thanks ✌️
Thanks for the nice review.
I just test rode the voyager and thought it had pronounced counter steer what do you think? Thanks
I didn't notice that it did when I rode it but you saw my whole experience. Not really a long enough time to experience everything I needed to.
You wanna be happy, Get a 2018-19 Star Venture and you will be happy front and back.
Why did you get rid of your goldwing
It had to many wheels.
3 wheeler?
@@samestuffdifferentday5712 Ya it was a trike.
@@NewZonaRides sounds like you need a trike.
@@MegaRenegade1 I had a Goldwing trike to begin with. It was a great bike. Took my MC license test on it.
What kind of cameras are you using to record this vlog ?
My camera equipment is listed on the about page or in the description of the video.
NewZona Rides perfect thanks
I had the Vision so I can tell you the Gold wing has the better rear seat but no where to put your feet.
I'm looking for a used Venture since I sold my Vision. The back seat is not so good on a Visionj unless you have a skinny girl.
I liked the Indian bikes the most. My next bike will be a Indian for sure.
7:29 I want my wife close to me when we are riding. I definitely don’t understand or feel you on that one. Just saying
Maybe that is because your wife doesn't smash her helmet into the back of your head every time you stop at a traffic light.
Ok, let's change that to a Victory Vision or a Cross Country Tour. Both are V-twin motors both are for big guys.
I liked the Vision quite a bit.
@@NewZonaRides i have both and the vision is by far my favorite for ride and comfort
omg, marshmallow is the word of the day :D

I hate that they never let you test ride metrics unless it’s a demo day.
Looks like a keeper!👍
Where's thee insides?😅
Not for people of the larger variety, especially two up. 🤔🤔🤔
You better get a Goldwing. you can find one at that price or better. The you will have room.
Squishy will dissapear when u set up air shocks
👍 screw the music 👍👍👍👍

You wanna pass in 5th gear with that bike. Six gear is 70 on up
So it's basically a lumbering marshmallow
You forgot uncomfortable.
Find you a Stratoliner.
This is an old video...
Yes it was moved from my old channel so it can still be watched.
LOL.. WOW
terrible review - marshmello - marshmello - marshmello? WTF? and joann is on my back- you make NO sense. - must be a new rider.
That has the most room.
Nope. Not even close.
