Two things are clearly evident here.
1) Pantera was one of the most ferocious bands ever to take the stage. Something I had the privilege of seeing them do 5 times.
2) Chilean metal crowds have been and continue to put the rest of the world to shame. Amazing volume and passion from the crowd the entire time. The current footage of flares and a dude spitting fire in the crowd only solidifies the legend of the Chilean metal crowd. I have nothing but admiration, love, and respect for everything in this video.
What Phil said after “I’m Broken” was real shit. One thing that could never be said of Pantera is that they followed the trends or softened their approach to bend towards what was popular. If anything, the more “popular” they were - Far Beyond Driven at their height - the more sonically violent and opposite of mainstream they became. No wonder they split after Reinventing The Steel. In hindsight, it seemed destined.

I was there and I still remember that night in the midle of the crowd. Before pantera show up on the stage it was special too because we were singing, smoking and laughing with some guys what were throught naked over the stage jajaja

I agree man Chile, Brazil, Argentina, that little section of the world always has the best and craziest concerts. As an American I'm ashamed to say us and Europe aren't even close, maybe Germany, but its rare.
I love how Phil keeps trying to make the crowd quiet down so he can finally hear his voice but they won't do it. This was one of those rare times when the crowd controlled Phillip Anselmo and not the other way around. This crowd is epic. Much respect to Chilean crowds. The best show ever by the best metal band that ever existed, period.

Pieza histórica, por lejos el mejor recital de metal que hemos tenido en Chile. Hoy tengo 32, en ese entonces tenía 15 y fui con mi partner del colegio, una hora en bus después de clases. Las generaciones de hoy no tienen idea lo que se perdieron. Aguante Pantera!

The 101 Proof tour was hands down the best tour of Pantera's existence. They were promoting a live album, not a studio album. Therefore, they weren't required by Atlantic Records to have half the songs from their most recent album in their playlist. They could play whatever the fuck they wanted to, even take requests from the audience. The shows of this tour were similar to those of jam bands such as the Grateful Dead and Phish, only a helluva lot louder and a helluva lot rowdier. This was Pantera in their purest form, and this tour allowed them to be the band they always dreamed of being.
i saw them in Louisville on this tour. sick....had like 4 opening bands too.

Chilean crowds are the best crowds. Amazing concert and vibe. I'm not a fan of the track 'Walk' in particular, but everyone singing along, as well as the band themselves going for it, is fucking great.

Mi sangre quema y el pecho estalla al ver este documento histórico. Estos conciertos fueron de VERDAD!!!, nada de entradas vip, golden, PURA MIERDA, llegabas horas antes para correr al frente y dejar tu CORAZON, GRITANDO, SALTANDO, COREANDO... VIVIENDO AL MÁXIMO!!! I can't say enough good things about this band. I've been into them for years, but sadly, I never got to see them live. Just watching this footage gives me chills. The energy in that room that night was amazing! God I wish Dime were still here. Even in they never stayed together, I'm just so fucking pissed about all the Damageplan shit we have been robbed of. RIP King Dime!
These guys had their sound dialed in like a motherfucker.I've seen so many live clips with pantera and they always sound amazing.For a band that was SO good live,they should have a live visual dvd/bluray release of a whole concert.
