Not bragging ng but seen these guys ie ORIGINAL PAN FUKN TERA Ring in the New Year with Megadeth and all original Black FUKN Sabbath members, circa 98 in Phoenix, Arizona.. boards under my arms all night ala front row and was Best New Year celebration, EVER. . That said, when Dime was killed by a nobody, chunk of shit like Nathan Gale I was smitten with remorse. Because I FUKN KNEW Dime and later Vinnie's early demise was twice as tragic as NEITHER OF THESE TEXAS BAD ASSES E V E R HAD AN EGO. THEY NEVER LET THE HEIGHTS GO TO Their HEADS. THEIR DAD DIED A COUPLE MONTHS AGO AN IM GLAD HES REUNITED WITH HIS BOYS AND CHERSIH OUR JAM TIME TOGETHER. GOD BLESS EM ALL..

I got to spend time with him one day in the early 90. All day. Before and after the gig. I was with the opening band at Annie's in Cincinnati. He called me bro a few times that day. That meant everything to me then but even more now. We talked about his rig and he wanted my brothers 69 Marshall cream color cabinet that he wouldn't let go. Dime said a have a blank check just name the price brother. He treated us with so much respect. We gave that in return. I went to his grave not long after he was murdered. It was just me him and the sun going down. I told him he didn't deserve to go out like that and I loved him. I drank a beer then poured him one out. I smoked a joint and left one on his grave. I cried like a fucking baby. Now Vinn is with him. That's because Vinn had a broken heart. We miss you Abbott Brothers. Getcha Pull. Full Pull.

I never was into Pantera. I’ve heard “Walk” maybe ten times but that’s about it.
But from Darrel’s lessons he wrote for guitar world. (I think) His personality came through on paper, so I always read his articles because I liked his attitude. Though I never sat down with a guitar and took in his “guitar lesson” what I did learn from him is to check my attitude.
“What you habitually think largely determines what you will ultimately become”…..
So I “TRY” to lose the negative thoughts and only focus on the positive. Because it’s easy to become depressed from all the negativity we’re constantly being fed. So choose the positive. You have a choice. You are master of your attitude, so choose the positive and the constructive view.
Optimism is the faith that leads to success and happiness.

Scooped mids? Lol wrong again, every metal band was doing that, he just did the most extreme version of it and it sounds like shit.
Whammy pedal dynamics? Again done by Vai and really mainstreamed by Tom Morello, not Dimebag.
Suspended chord leads? Do you even listen to music? Do you even know what that means or did you just watch a RUclipsr say that’s what he did (answer: Yes).

17:40 - Breathing into mic for some reason
26:30 - Also breathing into mic for some reason
33:00 - Speaking from the heart
The guy came to my hometown once, I didn't get to see him, but he was at a local guitar store and I would like to think he wasn't just doing these appearances for the money, because you can see clearly how enthusiastic he is here in this video just to talk to these hardcore fans. He practically begs them for questions. Then he literally gives a small masterclass in guitaring for dummies because he was a truly humble and passionate guitarist. This footage is priceless.
