I got to see it in concert in May. It was the single greatest moment I have ever seen in a concert in my whole life and I've been to a LOT of concerts. It was so special and I am dying to see them live again. Never missing a show if I can go.
It's the most religious song Ive ever heard(although I am pretty sure Thuoms didnt mean it to be such) But when Floor sings Laudato si, it makes you as if directly connected with God Himself.
Never would have believed that Floor is making Nightwish shine again, respecting Marcos voice and thout it was unreplaceable, but Floor has it in control, go Nightwish!

I'm very pleasantly surprised at how few phones I see in the audience. When you have a performance that people are actually watching and reacting to instead of rushing to record it, I think you've done your job.
The 'newness' is clearly wearing off. Only took best part of 20 years for people to finally realise what a waste of time and resources recording at gigs is.
When I saw them in NYC, I didn't have my phone out except to take a pic of their setup before the concert, a video of Storytime and her vocals at the end of the show because WOW. I also took a picture of the band onstage. I just wanted to capture a few memories because I never saw Nightwish in concert before then.
Ohmygosh!!! I just turned 63 in July. I am going to see them in Stuttgart in December. I still can't believe that I am going. (Also going to Porsche and Mercedes museums! That's why I chose Stuttgart!!!) I am a Led head from way back, but Nightwish is on another level!!!
Not only great musicians, great composer and a vocalist that is beyond words... it's what you see on stage. Smiles and joy. Floor is everywhere, sharing the stage with her band mates. Singing next to them. Everybody is having a blast on that stage. That is what the audience loves and feels. That's what music is about.

This is by far the best hellfest show I've seen. Many bands play their songs live. Nightwish put on a fucking show. Everything is part of their performance.

Fantastic Nightwish ... Fantastic music... great Tuomas' genius, talented musicians, and sublime Floor Jansen... melodic and powerful voice... fantastic stage presence, beautiful queen of Metal !!!💥🖤🤘
Finishing it off with a 17 second belt. (I timed it) Floor blew it out of the park again. You need to release Floor at a very big podium, in front of a very, very big crowd. Then she is at her best and maximum potential, as shown here in this recording. Full on voice, full on power. Love her inspiring and pumping speeches in between the songs. This was a great live concert, getting feelings of Wacken 2013. I still miss Marko, but Floor is keeping the band on his feet and rolling. An extreme accomplishment.
Gotta also give credit to Tuomas, who writes most (all?) of their songs. Plus mad props to Emppu, who along with Tumomas has been there since the beginning.

Seen her in 2005 with after forever in Montpellier ( south France) Still incredible at that time on stage Went in the public during the opening concert of Nightmare (old french group reforming at that time) Then after the show she came to sign autographs at the merchandising stand... and talk.....still in my memory 🙂 Really a beautiful person
Because he's such a great drummer that everything seems effortless, when he's actually playing insane drumming. He's not flashy or showing off, he's just chilling on the background while kicking ass.
:) Most of us remember Jukka's crazy awesomeness. Kai is a beastly drummer, though, and Nightwish is blessed to have someone of his caliber in Jukka's place.

Was not sure of she still got it. But if you as a crowd give her something to draw energy from she gives you a show of a lifetime. She is like a soul eater, the more love she feels,, the more her juices flow, the more amazing she is. In the end she actually cries, that much emotion is in her. Dear mortals, this is the best vocal performer of all time, be happy to experience it.
Great for you :D You should also check out the Wacken 2013 performance by Nightwish. Personally I think it´s the greatest live show I have ever seen captured on film. I loved this Hellfest gig too.

That "Shoemaker" finale was one of the most epic live music moments I've ever witnessed, and I only watched it via stream. Unbelievable.

Not only great musicians, great composer and a vocalist that is beyond words... it's what you see on stage. Smiles and joy. Floor is everywhere, sharing the stage with her band mates. Singing next to them. Everybody is having a blast on that stage. That is what the audience loves and feels. That's what music is about.

This is by far the best hellfest show I've seen. Many bands play their songs live. Nightwish put on a fucking show. Everything is part of their performance.

Finishing it off with a 17 second belt. (I timed it) Floor blew it out of the park again. You need to release Floor at a very big podium, in front of a very, very big crowd. Then she is at her best and maximum potential, as shown here in this recording. Full on voice, full on power. Love her inspiring and pumping speeches in between the songs. This was a great live concert, getting feelings of Wacken 2013. I still miss Marko, but Floor is keeping the band on his feet and rolling. An extreme accomplishment.
