I downloaded the remote id update for my Phantom 4 pro V2.0 and Phantom 4 Pro but I don't know how to update the remote id serial number on faadronezone.
So which number do i put in for the registration? I have a flight controller s/n and a remote controller s/n or is it a different number all together. It is a DJI Air 3 and it has the FAA cert that you showed on their website.
Once you become recreationally remote ID compliant, do you need to cancel and reregister the drone or just add the remote ID device in the FAA drone zone? I hear conflicting views on this.
Recreationally, you register once, get a registration number, and use that on all your drones flown recreationally. You need to add all your recreational drones in the listing on the DroneZone, including the RID modules that you are using recreationally. So if you listed a drone before in your drone list and it didn't have RID and now it does, simply delete it and add it again with the correct info. You can't edit the list unfortunately.
hello everyone, in this case on the registration topic. Before I passed the initial exam and I already registered my DJI Spark on Recreational, now I passed the initial exam and I want to continue using my DJI Spark under Part 107. Need to remove DJI Spark from recreational list and register my DJI Spark under Part 107 and pay $5 and just add the RID module serial number in DJI Spark using Edit? is this correct? Or can keep DJI Spark in Recreational and Part 107 paying $5 in Part 107 and just add RID module serial number using 3 dots and Edit? On the Edit of the DJI Spark, I will select RID Module and add the RID module serial number? I need to remove it from recreational or can I keep it on both side the registration of the drone? I'm confused on this part. Thanks!
Do we have to put a RID module on the AIR 3 since it's still not on the list? ....Or are we protected by the new RID deadline of March 16....maybe by then the FAA will figure it out?!?!
If someone is just reentering the RC hobby, and has a remote ID unit on order, how would they go about registration? Can they even register without the ID unit "in hand"? Are they allowed to fly in the meantime?
I had the same issue. I just canceled my original registration and added another device with the same serial number as the original and updated the Remote ID status (Standard Remote ID for my DJI Mini 3 Pro).
On my Part 107 dashboard, I edit the existing drone that does not broadcast RID, click Yes at the top and select module RID in the drop down then type in the module serial # and click Save. It doesn't charge the $5 registration.
