I did all of what you said in the past. The issue I’m having is, the FAA Drone Zone site where you register all drones does not allow me to enter any of the serial numbers to my drones. FAA has not contacted me on this issue. I’m almost inclined to go to or call the very local FAA office where I live to see if they can resolve the issue. Any suggestions that you may have, lay it on me. It’s a bit frustrating to have an account with Drone Zone and not have all the information completed.

If you’re a recreational flyer you don’t have to register the drones, it’s an FAA number assigned to you the operator. But you still have to display that number on all your drones, and have it available with you if someone asks for it.

I'm not sure about that issue - I would contact the FAA to see if it's something on their end.

Thank you for taking the mystery out of this requirement. ... When it comes to registration requirements, please clarify: Is it "above 0.55 lbs" or is "0.55 lbs AND above"? I've heard it both ways and it leaves me confused as to what happens when the drone is exactly 0.55 lbs. Thank you.

Glad you found it helpful! It is "above 0.55lbs"

If you are a recreational pilot, meaning you’re just flying for fun, and your drone weighs less than 0.55 lbs or 250g, you do NOT need to register the drone.
However, if it does weigh more than that or you are flying for commercial purposes, you need to register it. If your drone happens to weigh 55 lbs or more, you will need to complete a separate registration process.
