Skyward Sword had a unique distance rendering system. Farther objects become soft round pixilations, giving a feeling of Impressionism. The art style choice fits that rendering system. They actually worked on the quality of it in the HD version. A lot of people never noticed the Impressionism art style, but that's what gave Skyword Sword it's unique feel and soft, chill vibes.

@@powerrangerturbo1 Im currently playing botw and its my first Zelda game. (Played a little of a link between worlds but whatever). I love it and Im so hooked I was maybe thinking about getting skyword sword afterwards.
Skyward sword is obviously gonna be different (very linear if you didn't know), but the story is amazing and some of the bosses are really fun and the finale is just *chefs kiss*
@@YungPop I started with Botw too (played link to the past first but didn’t get that far) and then got skyward sword. Honestly I don’t know who wouldn’t recommend it all zelda games are masterpieces
The art style is inspired by Impressionism. They've even applied it to depth of field in a mini bokeh kinda way. Nintendo is pretty good at using art style to cover up their consoles' weaknesses, which help the games' graphics hold up pretty well in the future.
Wind Waker will exist as a graphically good game even if we get to prefect graphics. We can only chase hyper graphics so far, in the end it is better to make a game look good and play better then make a game look better and play good. One dies out the other persists.
"I don't think Nintendo ever intended anyone to hold down L all the time" ....cut to me, a insane person, who only used L to look around the entire game.
@@ewoutoffereins3380 I think some people forget to reset them. Also they have changed them slightly from the Wii one so it may be throwing people's muscle memory off
I re-played Skyward Sword on the Wii more recently of this year before this release. The motion controls on the Switch were way more smooth and enjoyable, more convenient also with the calibration by just pressing Y. I didn't like using button controls much to be honest but was great to have that option.
For me the joy cons kept having to be recentered. Weirdly enough I had a smoother experience on the Wii, apparently the sensor bar helps alot with calibration so that might be why
@@VictoryReviews Maybe had to re-sync joycons or place the Switch a certain way to reduce it maybe? Not sure. But at least its more convenient to re-calibrate it on the Switch
I like having the ability to reset the gyro. I like resseting the gyro center way higher to make bomb rolling easier and in a second return it back to normal. While it takes a while to get used to, it is so convenient once you get used to it.
I think this is an experience that will vary depending on the player, cause my experience was pretty smooth. Although, it should be mentioned that I used the y-button reset a lot.
Best intro, I just finished playing Skyward Sword myself and really enjoyed the HD version of the game - took a while to get used to the button control but after that it was totally fine, I bought the zelda amiibo and didn't even use it once
Lol! I hear you on the amiibo. It's really not needed at all except for maybe speedrunners wanting to save like 3 seconds instead of taking 3 seconds to go to a statue. My neighbor was all psyched about it thinking you could fast travel whenever and wherever you wanted. I wrote a NFC tag for him of the loftwing amiibo so he knows it doesn't work like that but he still likes the function of it.
@@twilightwild1083 I like it just for collecting purposes cuz I'm a die hard LoZ fan, but if you don't want it for a collection, you're not missing out on anything special with it. Only concern is if it gives you exclusive items/clothes in BotW 2 when that comes out. That would piss off a lot of people. I recommend just buying some NFC tags and writing your own amiibos. Ninten-dough are money grabbing jerks so fuggem.
i just got into a habit of pressing Y every time i pulled out my sword or every time i pulled out anything i had to aim with. i really love motion controls
I'm right there with ya, I thought the motion controls were way more on point just had to hover over that Y button. A lot better than pausing and laying the controller face down to recalibrate.
I didn’t get to play this when it first came out… I developed Schizoaffective Disorder in 2011, I never got treatment and had major issues that landed me in the psych ward in 2012. I then battled my illness for another 5 or so years while trying to get on the right medication. I lost a huge chunk of my 20’s to psychotic breaks and manic episodes. I was robbed of a lot of experiences. Think I may pick up this HD release! Would definitely be nice to play it!
@@tomsimmons7673 bro let me like what I like it’s not hurting you and I actually enjoy his skits because his videos are amazing anyway so I know it’ll be good and I don’t mind waiting
I found that the orientation of the controller itself was the most important part. Stuff like flying reacts extremely well with very minor movements. Large movements completely throw it off
The way you thought about botw 2 being a part of the cycle is genius and I never would’ve thought of that and now I’m even more excited about the sequel. That actually makes a lot of sense now that I think about it. Anyway great vid
Motion controls for flying on skyward sword started out being awful but I got used to it over time. Almost at the end of the game and at this point it's no problem now.
The loftwing was hard for like 3 minutes until I got the hang of it and it became super easy. Though I will say that I switch to button-only controls for the skydiving minigame. This is my first time playing the game and I'm LOVING IT. I think I like it better than BotW since there's an actual narrative.
I hear people say they didn't like the world below the clouds because it was too linear. But I remember the idea was to take some of the parts people love about dungeons and bring it to the over world. Think about the volcano area you had to figure out how to make your way a certain location. It wasn't a direct path. You had find those mitts to dig around in the ground. Or fight a mini boss to get past a bridge over the lava. The time stones in the desert area were a lot like dungeon puzzles.
I had the exact opposite experience to BeatEmUps. I have always been a motion control hater, but decided to try this game because I need more Zelda in my life. Out of curiosity I started out my adventure using motion controls just to see “how they felt”. But my initial idea was using button controls as my main way of playing. Finally the motion controls stuck with me and I quite liked them. I had basically zero of the frustrations in this vid. (Except flying the loft wing for the first time as I didn’t understand the wing flap mechanic. lol)
I also only used motion controls (except i flew with buttons) and i was totally find you just have to reset gyro by pressing Y when its in a funky position
Exactly, after a while of launching the game, I couldn't emulate it due to the movement control. Total frustration! Today I have a Switch and a few days ago I acquired the title never played before, I was outraged by the mapping of the buttons because to rotate the camera you have to hold a button and not the mapping option to change it. I ended up giving the motion controls a try and was surprised by how intuitive they are and how much I would miss out if I just played with the buttons.
Wood: **Gets annoyed by having to press Y every few seconds to reset the gyro** Also Wood: ** Gets accustomed to CONSISTENTLY using the ZL button every few seconds to re-center the camera**
It’s so easy pressing Y to recenter. It’s way easier than Z target to recenter the camera or for every fight lmao People who hate recentering are weird to me. “Doing it a lot” isn’t bad either. You press Z target the entire game, so just press Y too. It’s even easier than that lmao
I was 11 when I played skyward sword on the Wii and now I’m 21… while most people hate skyward sword personally it’s one of my favorite Zelda games ever, because of art style, characters and story. I was so happy to play this game again 10 years later and I loved it even more than I did as a kid.
14:52 yes BOTW is currently the end of the timeline. If there's a game older than the Skyward Sword era, then the Character we controlling is Hylia herself not Link and the Boss is Demise not Ganon.
Skyward Sword and Breath of the wild also share that "tech" side of the Sheikah Tribe.. Maybe, just maybe its goin full circle with the Time gate between BotW and SS?
I got used to the motion controls after the first boss, and after that, it feels like a classic zelda game, puzzles, and motion controls added to the puzzle mechanics, including fighting monsters with specific directions. Also I got full control of my loftwing and I wished we could fly in botw2 xD Definitely worth playing for anyone who haven't played it before on the wii.
Skyward Sword HD is probably a best remake ever because one thing i like is that it ran 1080P at 60 fps which most games should run and how remake should be to
This was my first Zelda game and introduced me to this magical series. It holds a special place and my heart. Sure the controls are iffy sometimes but i still love it.
You have ALOT of games to play and alot of cool stuff ahead...and alot of time needed. Atleast you have the internet to help now. Before it was nintendo power or word of mouth. 😂
@@Andronicus87 I’m 32, I remember getting the NES when I was 3 (1992) and my first Zelda game was Zelda II! And the funny thing is, the only Zelda game I haven’t finished is the very first one 🤔
I totally agree on the classic zelda feel! Gave me ocarina-nostalgia when playing some of the puzzles in the dungeons. I also loved all the things they added in skyward like the items and sailcloth that you mentioned. Underrated and overlooked game for sure!
This Zelda has a good place in my heart :( I was 12 when I played it with my Mom and it was my first Zelda that got me into the franchise! I really enjoyed it, from the maps to my favorite villain Ghirahim! I really wish more people would appreciate than calling it a crappy Zelda game because of the old motion controls
I didn't have any Nintendo device when I was younger but now I'm 15 and I got a Switch and Skyward Sword looks like a really fun game man like I don't understand the hate I watched gameplays and the trailer it looked so AWESOME so basically what I'm saying is I agree with you
@@alyssac5130 it's a good game to have a bias tho. In my case it wasn't my first Zelda, but it was a good game, it was real fun in the DS with its gameplay
Gotta be honest, even despite needing to reset sometimes, I feel like you weren’t using the motion very good in your demonstrations. I’m not that surprised it wasn’t working. The motion controls need to be reset more because of course it doesn’t have a sensor, but work more accurate and fast when it’s centered correctly. Aim your sword slowly and then swing. Don’t make big crazy movements when flying or swimming. Move slowly back and forth on tightropes (you can run on them btw). And press reset whenever you’re about to use motion controls. Just get used to pressing it preemptively, especially if you’ve changed your position. You don’t even have to point at the screen, recenter button will recenter to whatever your current position is so you can still be pretty comfortable in whatever spot you’re in. Seriously, speed runners are still playing the game the exact same way they did on Wii with no noticeable difference or drop in quality with the controls, other than pressing recenter sometimes. Which is easier than pressing Z target for every fight. Still, I’m glad you were able to enjoy it with buttons. That’s why it’s great to have the option.
Yeah I really liked motion I think it’s more of flick your wrist then using your whole arm because when you use your whole arm it makes it register incorrectly
@@Kyt2024 if you had a sensor bar the game would automatrically recalibrate every time the wii remote saw the sensor bar. it smoothened gameplay a lot and made it better
@@vikramsathish1245 interesting I always did quick flicks with my wrist maybe when I used my arm personally I was making my movements so big it registered poorly

I’ve been playing on my pro controller and the button controls feel really good. The gyro sensor is more manageable and the integration with the button controls is seamless. The L to look is pretty comfy, too. Optimal route imo!
Geez that montage of the motion controls was something else. They work great and they never have to be 'pointed' at the screen...its gyro. The calibration can jump around a bit, but a simple press of Y while not spazzing your whole body will do wonders. Oh Wood ya goof.
And he's moving the controller so much while flying the loftwing, but all it needs is to be tilted a little bit. If you tilt or move it too much it will register as tilting in the opposite direction.
We played Twilight Princess, but my mom never even knew SS came out. Let’s just say, I’m old enough that I got excited when Phantom Hourglass/ Spirit Tracks came out😂
5:44 - yeah, the Wii had a sensor bar. Kinda makes me wonder if Nintendo ought to revive some form of the Wiimote / sensor bar combo. Although I had less problems with the motion controls than you did, I'm fine with them. Although from the clips it's apparent you have a very different . . . technique.
From my playing I learned small but quick movements work best. Before I was getting both my wrists and elbows strained but after enduring for hours I found a synergy that feels so natural neither gets strained that I can play for long periods of time with 0 straining. Skyword Sword is best for the patient and esperimentative
It is important to point out - if the motion control worked really well, like, perfect every time, skyward sword would be one of the best Zelda games. If the switch had an optional control set up, that was like 500% more accurate than the Wii, it would be amazing
The motion controls are actually one of the funnest parts of the game! ...once you understand it, that is. Flying, swimming, rolling bombs and shooting arrows all become super fun! 😄😁🙂
@Dwayne D One of the things i really love about this game is that combat actually requires learning and practice and its not just clicking a button until the enemy dies
@@arctik2596 yeah i feel like the motion controls are really fun to use and it feels like you remove a lot of character from the game when you play with the buttons.
I actually didn’t have a hard time with motion control tbh to me it felt better and felt better then the Wii version but I’m happy the button layout is an option for everyone to enjoy the game
I do not resent the fact that the option exists for those who are bad at motion controls. What bugs me is the people who are bad at them not acknowledging that they are bad at them.
@@Dharengo lmao another idiot excusing bad game design with “just get better at it bro.” I bet if they release a game where the entire field of view was pitch black and you couldn’t see anything, you would respond “well you just suck at memorizing the entire map”
@@dathunderman4 Except if there was nothing to see you can’t memorize the map. Your argument makes no sense. I speak from experience. The controls work. And even if there _was_ something wrong with the controls, that’s a result of execution, not design, dumbass.
Here after a few months to say I finally got around to playing the skyward sword port I'm part of the minority that played 99% of it with motion controls and totally enjoyed it! 😃
I was on the stream when you were trying to fly with motion controls, lying on my back under my desk doing cable management while cracking up. Good times.
I remember doing the loftwing challenge on Wii. It must have looked very similar to woods attempt. I actually got so frustrated I ripped the game out of the console, and threw it at the wall as hard as could like a frisbee. After that the game actually worked just fine miraculously. Thankfully the wall was far away!! 🤣But I never went back to it. Now, with button controls I am planning on finally finishing the game.
I feel like you're over exaggerating the motion control issues. The problem you have is you don't recenter the motion control to the centre of the screen with the y button. If you pressed y, you would by fine !
I literally held the L button the entire game. Then I went to Breath of the Wild after beating SS and I’m still holding down the damn L button when moving my camera.
i do the same thing now whenever im holding my switch in handheld. the worst part is i barely used button controls and i used motion controls most of the time
This is my favorite zelda game no matter how bad the motion control were it was the most fun I had in a zelda game or any game and I miss that feeling.
SSHD is a way better, more polished version of the original, but despite being without a doubt, the definitive edition of the game, it still shouldn't be $60. So does 3D All Stars and half of the Wii U ports that add a bit of content.
I'm begging them to re-release the hd Zelda ports from the Wii u, and I'd pay $60 each for them again, no joke, a portable twilight princess would be amazing
Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8 are the only ports that I can justify spending $60 on. I bought some of the others, but I always regretted buying them when I could’ve just played the Wii U version. (And 3D All Stars, but only because I never played Sunshine and my copy of Galaxy stopped working) Also, on Amazon you can get Skyward Sword HD for $50, the same price as Wind Waker HD.
Fun fact, you dont have to point at the screen then press Y to calibrate you can do it pointing anywhere Its really useful when you just want to get into a more comfortable position, to just press Y resting your hand and you can just use small rotations to make the slashes
11:33-11:51 this summarizes perfectly why despite being a technologically impressive, BOTW is on the bottom of my top 5 zelda games, **unpopular opinion incoming** to me it has always felt like a glorified tech demo on what the new engine of the game can do, heck even skyward sword allows you to repair your gear and relegating the dungeon element to mostly optional challenges that all had stale identical dungeons was a real let down for me, the bosses were also disappointing.
Not unpopular, a lot of people dislike breath of the Wild for the reasons you mentioned. BOTW is easily my least favorite Zelda game for those reasons.
@@cleverman383 it a HUGE inprovement, not only are the bosses way more inspired and cool but the story (while still relegated to mostly hidden cutscenes) is also miles better, your allies actually serve a purpose now, the lore is more expaded, we have what in my humble opinion is the best version of ganondorf even put in a zelda game, even in twilight which is my personal favorite in the series he felt tacked on last minute, here he has a cool back story, exploration now actually feels like it has a purpose and not just to "look pretty", side missions are way more entertaining ahd add even more lore to the game, helping a town overrun by monsters was a very zelda moment, and the dungeons are back!!!!...yeah still pale in comparisson to pre BOTW era but good effort none-the-less, and I belive that I do not need to say anything about the additive and extremely fun vehicule/tool/weapon maker, it speaks volumes on it's own. Of course it's not perfect, the annoying weapon breaking system is still here, like I mention the dungeons still lack a lot compared to other games, and it still annoys me that most of the story is relegated to cutscenes you need to find.
@@kennycarter5682 I respect the decision and his opinion, I only really have a problem with the fact that he didn't even try to learn the controls, but more so expected them to conform to what he wants to do/what he thinks he's doing with his motions. Normally I wouldn't care, but he also then presents it as if the motion controls are a mess objectively, when in reality the issue lied with him either not being precise enough or not learning how recentering worked. Regardless though, I can understand why he was frustrated and switched, I just don't particularly like how he raked the motion controls over the coals despite never actually trying to learn and adapt to them.
When I played the bird race thingy I didn't read the tutorial all the way through, so I didn't know that you could shake the joy-con to flap, so I did the entire race without flapping.
I have not tried the motion controls, but haven't had any issue with using the right stick at all. I've actually been surprised how much I've liked the game and the controls after what I've read about them.
watching you try to play it w the motion controls was hilarious lol i couldn't stop laughing, it sounds like it would've worked better for you with voice controls!!!
Great review and glad you enjoyed the game! I kept playing with the motion controls for a few hours in the game to get better at them, and I did, so I’m used to them, they are easy, and enjoyed the moments of swords fighting and small moments like pulling the master sword out of the ground and jumping in the air to slam down my blade on an enemy. I had to reset the calibration with the tap of the button every once in a while, but I got used to doing it like instinct.
There are some frustrations with the motion controls I’ll admit, but they honestly are so much better than button controls. The puzzles and everything so far are really solid. I never got to play it originally on Wii, but it is really good. I disagree about that but I like the video and I can respect your opinion. Keep it up woody
The constant recentering of the gyro is really annoying as well as the flying but the button controls do definitely have their own problems but I like them for more precise combat.
@@Boba19423O I can respect that. I’ve preferred the gyro controls cause there aren’t many games that use it so it’s nice to be able to have a reason to use the joycons.
For me, the biggest frustration with the motion controls (and the frustration that now has twice kept me from buying the game) is the complete lack of a left-handed mode for the motion controls. The joy-cons have the exact same hardware when it comes to motion controls: each of them has both a gyro and an accelerometer. And yet, if you want to swing the sword, you have to do so with the right joy-con with no option to remap the motion controls to the left joy-con.
@@robertw31968 I mean everything is relative. My dad was born in 48... Wood is one year older than me so I'm relating to him feeling old. Obviously we aren't old compared to people 20 to 40 years older then us but there are a lot of people watching this that were born well after us...
05:44 thank you for telling the truth and not just reading Nintendos Release Notes. I did some serious testing between the Original and the HD and yes, the motion Controls are worse, more inaccurate and more flimsy than the original. The Sensor Bar and Motion Plus Combination just work better.
The art style was supposed to look like a painting :) And this is my favorite Zelda after Breath of the Wild. I didn’t have any problems with the motion controls. I recenter often though cuz there’s no bar. I really don’t like the buttons. Maybe I just have to use them more but it’s super difficult for me and took me longer to do simple things. I also play like how I did on the Wii and press the button the recenter the camera often. I used my GameStop points to only pay $40 for this game 😎 I didn’t want to pay $60 for a remaster.
Bruh... I don't have any GameStop points I gotta pay full price for my favorite Zelda game I'm maulding and those really fkn cool joy cons dammit why everything gotta cost money?
The joycons don't need to be pointed at the screen to calibrate, you can choose whatever starting position you want. I usually just rest my joycons on my lap and sometimes even cross my arms 🤷🙅
10:41 I think it is kinda funny how he trys to kill the Deku Babas hanging from the ceiling with the sword beam and complains about the motion controls. For those who didn't know you where supposed to use the beetle you got pobably 30 secs ago in the dungeon (the first one) where those Deku Babas (the Zelda-Version of the piranha plant) are located. P.S.: I actually agree that the motion controls got kind worse on the Switch but I had to mention that unfortunate use of footage. xD
I actually liked both control scemes. When i used motion controls I got used to hitting y it became second nature and when I used button controls and then switch back to motion I was still holding down the l forgetting im using motion controls. For me it became muscle memory with these things.
Hmm. I had very few issues over here with the motion controls. The quality of the dungeons should also have a mention here - they’re some of the best in the series, especially the final one. This clearly touched on the first 2-3 hours of the game, Skyward Sword is pretty massive (albeit there’s backtracking) and there’s side quests, upgrades, bugs and items to find - plus I love Skyloft as a hub area…oh and the fully orchestrated music is awesome. Absolutely not a perfect game because of its repetitive nature at times but a little more in depth wouldn’t have gone amiss. But hey! I know you probably have loads more games to review and not spend 50 hours on this. Like me. Sigh.
I love how so many people are still struggling with the motion controls x'DD I have played before and now again with motion controls it's way more fun to play the game as it is designed to do so! But it's good they added the controls part for people like you who are having issues xP
I told myself that I was gonna play this with buttons until I got the bosses and then I would switch to motion controls. But I ended up playing the whole game with buttons. Not disappointed at all.
Just wondering.... when was the last time you updated your joycons? I had no issue with using joycons in this game and actually found it more smoother and better compared too Wii remote and nunchuck. I think it was because I updated the joycons before starting to play, seeing as they were the Skyward sword joycons and brand new. It's been a habit of mine since I had an issue with other joycons on a different game and turns out, all I had to do was update the joycons, then it worked so much better. It is annoying because it doesn't automatically update, you have to prompt it by going into controller settings and update controllers.
@@michaezell4607 Only that it was the newest joycons (before the OLED came out) and that I had no problems whilst playing SS, very accurate. If anyone had problems with their joy cons that wasn't the SS version, either it cause their joycons is old or not getting the better experience if they haven't updated their joycons in the settings menu.
lol that intro was great. I'm new to Zelda games (played BOTW as my first zelda game late 2020) and thoroughly enjoying playing skyward sword (exclusively w/ button controls lol)
I have to say, a little bit in depth as to why the Wii Remote had better motion in comparison to the Switch’s version, is due to there being 3 methods of keeping track of where the remote is, The Infrared of The Wii Sensor Bar, The Wii Remote’s internal gyroscope, and the secondary gyroscope from the Wii Motion Plus Accessory.
Thank you for all your content. Enjoy watching your videos. This time I have to contradict: I love the motion control in the game. It's making the game alive and is part of how to solve the puzzles. It might have been used too much by Nintendo, but still great fun using it, after figuring out to press Y to reset the gyro regularly
Can't wait to actually start playing. I've had to hold off until tonight. So tonight's tonight we're going to make it happen, we're going to put all other things beside. 🤣 Yep. That last part was super cheesy.
We've played and replayed the OG Skyward Sword many times in my family, and I don't think we've ever had much trouble with he motion controls. We'll see when we play the new one, though! Hope they'll maybe patch it to be better? Kinda sad that an HD remake would be worse with that than the OG... Yikes! lol. Thanks, Wood! I love your Zelda outfit! Awesome job, as always!

The art style is inspired by Impressionism. They've even applied it to depth of field in a mini bokeh kinda way. Nintendo is pretty good at using art style to cover up their consoles' weaknesses, which help the games' graphics hold up pretty well in the future.
Yes exactly I couldn’t tell if he was saying the water color thing sarcastically because it’s supposed be be exactly that
Wind Waker will exist as a graphically good game even if we get to prefect graphics. We can only chase hyper graphics so far, in the end it is better to make a game look good and play better then make a game look better and play good. One dies out the other persists.

I found this weird, cause moving L felt second-nature to me, and not inconvenient at all.

I never had any issues either it just makes me wonder if some people just do not know how to work motion controls

This is literally insane the Wii works so well for after replaying earlier this year
I like having the ability to reset the gyro. I like resseting the gyro center way higher to make bomb rolling easier and in a second return it back to normal. While it takes a while to get used to, it is so convenient once you get used to it.
You can calibrate the wii one by just pressing down
I think this is an experience that will vary depending on the player, cause my experience was pretty smooth. Although, it should be mentioned that I used the y-button reset a lot.

Best intro, I just finished playing Skyward Sword myself and really enjoyed the HD version of the game - took a while to get used to the button control but after that it was totally fine, I bought the zelda amiibo and didn't even use it once
Lol
I didn’t even bother to buy the amibo
@@twilightwild1083 I like it just for collecting purposes cuz I'm a die hard LoZ fan, but if you don't want it for a collection, you're not missing out on anything special with it. Exactly.
I don't even need to hit Y that often but I'm finding myself doing it "just in case" a lot :D
That's the issue I had with the original so I went for button controls
i just got into a habit of pressing Y every time i pulled out my sword or every time i pulled out anything i had to aim with. i really love motion controls

“Is this switch? No this is Xbox.” Love it😂
Controlling the Loftwing with motion controls reminded me of BOTW gyro shrines 🥵
Yeah
The only difference is Botw gyro shrines are annoying and hard, while flying a loftwing is easy and simple.
Ewwwwww
Motion controls for flying on skyward sword started out being awful but I got used to it over time. Almost at the end of the game and at this point it's no problem now.
The loftwing was hard for like 3 minutes until I got the hang of it and it became super easy. Though I will say that I switch to button-only controls for the skydiving minigame. This is my first time playing the game and I'm LOVING IT. I think I like it better than BotW since there's an actual narrative.
I swear, that shot of zelda coming really close to link still gives me goosebumps all those years later

It’s so easy pressing Y to recenter. It’s way easier than Z target to recenter the camera or for every fight lmao People who hate recentering are weird to me. “Doing it a lot” isn’t bad either. You press Z target the entire game, so just press Y too. It’s even easier than that lmao

P.S.: I actually agree that the motion controls got kind worse on the Switch but I had to mention that unfortunate use of footage. xD
Video clip of him failing at 5:08. He could have also stabbed them for a faster clear
"Ha! Hey! Ya!...hey...can I get Zelda?" I lost it 😂
Even though I love Skyward Sword and the HD version, but can we point out that the Skyward Sword Link amiibo does nothing.
I’ve noticed with the motion controls on the switch you REALLY have to recalibrate the motion controls every couple hours to keep them functional
I had to do it every 15 minutes, but that's not a problem, it's literally just center and click a button, really easy...
@@LuanLopes49 I had to do it everytime I got out of a fight
I actually liked both control scemes. When i used motion controls I got used to hitting y it became second nature and when I used button controls and then switch back to motion I was still holding down the l forgetting im using motion controls. For me it became muscle memory with these things.
The fact that Friday was playing in the background is amazing haha
Like me. Sigh.
I love how so many people are still struggling with the motion controls x'DD
I have played before and now again with motion controls it's way more fun to play the game as it is designed to do so!
What's the difference between the SS joycons and the stock switch joycons in terms of game play controls?
This was the single best review of this game there was so much meaning that went into it. Was a pleasure to watch
Can't wait to actually start playing. I've had to hold off until tonight. So tonight's tonight we're going to make it happen, we're going to put all other things beside. 🤣 Yep. That last part was super cheesy.
Hey wood, I’m watching ur twitch stream loved ur song solo.
