Lealure Jenkins Shea moisture is making a line of products for type 1 and 2 hair. Which personally, I think is pretty dope. I like the idea of solidarity amongst all women and our hair.
I love how Evelyn's routine just worked on nourishing and keeping her natural hair while Grace's used every product in the book to achieve a certain look.
Lol this was hilarious. They both got a little taste of what the other goes through. Granted, the black girl had alot more steps but i feel like they both got an appreciation for each others routine. Thanks for letting us watch!!!
Everyone so TIGHT in the comments! They both agreed to the video, they knew what was gonna happen, and it’s not that big of a deal that she wants or has wavy hair. Like this whole thing is not that deep
I found it necessary to comment and share sharing a contrary narrative and perspective of the video. I really don't get why everyone is hating on Grace. They're different people with different personalities. I don't think grace was being rude. She was sharing her experience as much as Evelyn was, and that was the point if the video. If I don't deep condition and hold my curls with gel etc. My hair will be dry and curls undefined and look poofy. If Grace' s hair is weighed down, her waves don't show and it was weighed down from the minute she started detangling. And her hair is clearly not bone, silky straight. She has loose waves that she defines with scrunching. Why are tighter textures allowed to have a heavy wash day process and do the most but not someone with looser texture? Evelyn may not have said it with her words but her body language expressed disdain for Grace's wash day working for her hair. They were both equally incredulous while being good natured because there is a recognition that their hair is different and their different heads of hair have different needs. Felt no bad vibes from Grace at all in this video.
you are so right, i thought both girls were very funny. I didn't find Grace to be disrespectful or whiny as so many people said. I have natural hair and I'm proud of my hair, but I think some women are too sensitive and become extremely defensive about their hair journey. a lot of people are commenting on the fact that Grace uses products to make her wave pattern more defined. really!! just think about all the products we put in our hair to get that perfect curl pattern. It doesn't just happen naturally. some of these ladies need to lighten up, it's not meant to be taken so seriously.
I completely agree with this. I laughed throughout the video and was waiting for funny comments when I scrolled down and saw a whole lot of needless anger instead. Some people just like being mad, I swear.
I feel she went in knowing she didn't have afro texture hair and it should have been something to laugh at not ridicule, it was light hearted she was spasing out for nothing
Also, European hair that is wavy or curly looks really nasty and weird if it loses its shape because it doesn't straighten out completely. It looks like you've got cowlicks all over and is just a mess. Because the hair doesn't know what to do so it just does all kinds of weird half waves. Not the type you see at the beach. Hate to do it but I'm going to say it again - you guys don't know anything about European hair
My average wash day: 1) Wet hair with spray bottle 2) Separate into 4 sections and detangle with a heavy detangler 3) Rinse out the detangler and shampoo 1 or twice depending on product buildup 4) Detangle again before conditioning 5) Use heavy conditioner and let sit for 4 minutes 6) Rinse out and section hair off into 4 sections again 7) apply a mix of deep conditioner and oils (jojoba, olive, rosemary etc.) throughout my whole head 8) sit under the dryer for 30 minutes 9) rinse out and apply cream leave 10) separate hair into 8 sections and add eco styler and a cream to each twist 11) do a mixture of 2 stand and 3 strand twists and leave overnight for the next day and people wonder why wash day has to be scheduled and Is dreaded by most naturals ._.
Sacred Basden For me? My washing process... 1. Dampen my hair and parts into 8 pieces 2. Detangle 3. Wash my hair with heavy shampoo 3 times. Then condition 4. Detangle hair with the conditioner still in my hair 5. Rinse out conditioner 6. Detangles damp hair 7. Part into 8 pieces 8. Detangle again and blow dry with high heat 9. When hair is completely dry, part hair into ten pieces and put hair grease in the parts. 10. Style
Mine is 1 rinse hair 2 shampoo and conditioner 3 RIP OUT MY HAIR IN THE SHOWER 4 try to stop the bleeding on my head 5 put olive oil in hair 6 wait a horrible week until you have to do it all over again
Grace has textured hair but I wouldn't say wavy, but not pin straight either. People in the comments are rude af tho. It's a lighthearted fun video guys, calm down. For the lulz.
It’s not wavy she forces it with all the “dense air” and diffuser I can say that cause I have straight hair “like pencil straight hair” and I can get wave if I follow her hair care routine like it’s not pencil straight but it’s still straight not wavy but like YYYAAAASSSSS every need to chill out
Fr i have a simpler texture and I know my hairs not curly but it’s definitely not straight like all I do is wash it and but a little mouse in it and even when I don’t it’s still clearly not straight
I like how that white girl is complaining the whole time but that black girl just practically riped out her roots with the brush and was smiling the whole time. #whatwaves #wheretheyattho
Literally she was like “I’m not gonna have any waves now” yeah because your hair isn’t wavy it’s straight. Adding mousse and sea salt spray and scrunching it and diffusing it to make waves does not count as naturally wavy hair. If you air dry your hair and it’s straight, you have straight hair...🙄
Amya Dozier yes and it's even funnier bc her hair is actually wavy and people for some reason think it's not/think that it's ok to throw shade on her jusy bc of the way (amazing way) she is taking care of her waves.. in my opinion she is an insparation cause a lot of wavy girls taking care of their hair like it's straight when it's simply not... and Grace KNOW'S how to really take care of her hair
Omg I love stranger things I just pulled 2 allnighters Bing watching the full show because I'm finally allowed to watch it my parents didn't let me watch it before because of the swearing but I did now and I fangirled when I saw your profile pic
I think the only reason Evelyn's side comments don't feel as annoying as Graces is because I can relate to what Evelyn is going through. Graces biggest problem is loss of volume and disruption to her "waves" and to me it doesn't seem that deep; wash it one time and you're Gucci. with Evelyn it just looks like damaging move after damaging move and I legit cringed in my seat anticipating the damage her hair could be going through. So in comparison her complaints just feel really unimportant to me
My hair is like a little wavy so i know nothing about curly hair or can relate to Evelyn but in my opinion Evelyn was not really complaining, grace was tho like she can wash all the product out of her hair later and the way she kept saying that her hair was going to be so straight and weight down was really annoying
Exactly how I felt lol. I was like uhh, all she has to do is go home and wash her hair, its more of a hassle for Evelyn. Both people agreed to do the video so I guess they knew what they were signing up for lol but yeah Grace's side comments were more annoying tbh lol
Shea Moisture and Carol's daughter need to watch this video to remind them what works for black hair and caucasian hair is DIFFERENT! Make a new line not change the formula of products that works for curly and kinky textures.
Y’all don’t understand how wavy hair works. Yes, it looks straight when it’s weighed down with a lot of product. But you can’t scrunch pin straight hair. You have to have texture for the waves to hold. Scrunching straight hair will just tangle it and it won’t hold at all. And it does take very light products to enhance the waves. I have the same texture as Grace, and oils and heavy products will make the hair straight and oily. Some products work on wavy hair and not natural hair, and vise versa. People are coming at Grace like rocks!
It’s me • 46 years ago my hair is wavier than hers so I can take some heavier products. But my hair is kind of weird, it’s got like 2 different textures and it’s very thick. There’s a fine line between smoothing the fluffiness and weighing down the curls lol
I have naturally straight hair and if I scrunch it it does give me some texture. True, just that alone won’t give her result, but she also used a bunch of other crap to achieve that result. Believe me, if I used a diffuser, sea salt spray & the abundance of other curly hair products she did my hair would look just like that.
@@kaylinann914 I have straight hair. Straight straight, like to have her wave I must do it with a curler and put a tone of hairspray on it. If I just scruch my hair with a tone of mousse, it just look like I have put dirt on my hair and then it dried... With a diffuser, I have some volume but it's still straight.
Julz Alta you weren’t using products specifically made for curly hair according to your comment (aka the abundance of products she was using for curly hair). Trust me, her hair is NOT wavy. It’s straight. The natural texture she’s claiming to have is unobtainable naturally (without product)....that’s the point here.
Y'all had to be well compensated for this because I could NEVER switch routines with someone who has completely different hair than me. This was the funniest video I've seen in a while. Evelyn...I feel you girl LOL
Sage Bowman Everybody has some shit.... about themselves. But her hair "after" still looks like the average white girl hair in my opinion.... growing up it didnt matter what there was to pick on about me, as long as i was vulnerable. Because those people that picked on you, could have easily been you for whatever flaws they may have had... if you were picked on for having the hair the woman in this video has i am shocked because that is the most typical hair ive ever seen?? There will always be people to give you shit about something. Fuck it..
kayla m my hair is close to the texture of the girl in the video, but not identical(it is a lil wavier). And I said I got picked on before I learned to style it, when everybody told me shampoo and conditioner is all you need for great looking hair. But I agree with you, people always will find shit to pick on you about.
You see how the white girl scrunched her face up at the ingredients in Shea Moisture because she knows she can't use it... That's exactly why black women are confused on what the hell Shea Moisture is thinking...
iiNDiie1 but there are white women with curly hair that loves and swear by shea moisture. It has more to do with the texture than the colour of skin. I've also heard black women (way before shea moisture was ever rumoured to have changed their ingredients), say shea moisture does nothing for their hair. People can never win.
Nicci Rose they should make a line you can use.. Instead of trying to change up the ingredients to try to make our stuff work for you.. It just will never work! They HAVE to make a separate line
Yeye Osun I never said it was about skin color... But the white women Shea Moisture had in their ad didn't have not one wave in their hair... Even this girl had more waves than them and she still knew it wouldn't work for her.
@@katsukibakugou5826 I didnt mean it in a mean way but there's no need to be rude, I was having a good day then some stranger wanna tell me to stfu... I think you're be kinda mean honestly. I didnt mean any harm by my comment.
y'all are........ doing the most attacking grace for not liking those heavy-ass products. it's supposed to be funny, it isn't that deep. also, i didn't know people with wavy hair weren't supposed to use products on thier hair??? sis was using whips and sprays... that's normal??
maya I have wavy ass hair and my sister had straight hair all her life. So I asked her to use my products, scrunch and diffuse. Guess what? Her hair came out like Grace. Grace's hair isn't wavy its straight hair with lots and lots of body.
my sister and i use the same products. my hair is curly/wavy hers is pin straight. she scrunchs to get volume in her hair, but it is still straight. she diffuses her hair, because we use the same blow dryer, but her hair is still straight. I think it is just different hair types.
@@gappystan2674 Im in the same boat as your sis. Mines pin point straight at every inch. Scrunching and diffusing even with products does nothing. My hair will bearly hold curls for 4hrs with heat, with spray. My hair hates to have volume it seems.. the strands are too fine to hold anything.

Audacious Day it was stiff in the after tho
it practically looks the same lol grace was just dramatic
Who is who
Lol.
I would have respectfully requested not to be a part of this experiment. I can only imagine. My Caucasian friends have super fine, straight hair. My hair would be so crisp and frizzy. 😆
xandria20 I am in tears over reading "crisp" 😂😂😂😂😂 LAAAAAWD 😩😩😔
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 crisp... girl right.
My hair would be so dry and tangled on the 10000000 level. With that Pringles feel 😂😂
😂😂😫💯
Girl just say white
xandria20 They use those cheap and shitty shampoos and a bunch of chemical filled products so like.....no
The bravery of Evelyn...no way would I detangle my 4c clients DRY with a BRUSH!! 😱
This was great! Y'all really were good sports. Now I'm waiting on buzzfeed to steal this content. Cause I'm sure they will.
They already did with a straight hair girl and a 2b girl
Tali Steveyssis i think it was 3a it was pretty curly
nowan knows I meant 3b oops
Anisha Renee right💀
Anisha Renee they did lmao
Exactly why that Shea moisture commercial made no sense
Lealure Jenkins except that the white girl did use a shea moisture product.
exactly why it makes no sense...
PopstarPaci yesss
Because the type a hair ofcourse that's gonna happen
thought i was the only one catching that
"Do you use a brush?"
"yeah"
"...A brush..."
lol me when my friends want to do my hair
Lol this was hilarious. They both got a little taste of what the other goes through. Granted, the black girl had alot more steps but i feel like they both got an appreciation for each others routine. Thanks for letting us watch!!!
Everyone so TIGHT in the comments! They both agreed to the video, they knew what was gonna happen, and it’s not that big of a deal that she wants or has wavy hair. Like this whole thing is not that deep
Sadie no one said it was deep the only person who said it was was u
True. People take everything so seriously these days
Sadie
Thank You
Its the fact that people don't realize that this was for entertainment purposes...and then get triggered over it
@@laila5023 you're stupid af
"daaang I can't emulsify no product" 😂😂😂😂😂
She sprayed that sea salt like it was bug repellent! 😂
😂😂😂
BaoneOnPurpose agree it was cute and meant to be cute by 2 girlfriends !!! No hate required:)
I feel she went in knowing she didn't have afro texture hair and it should have been something to laugh at not ridicule, it was light hearted she was spasing out for nothing
Nice cape.
lmaoooo "different versions of air" i could never do a pin straight hair cair routine, my curly roots would never survive😭
Mia Ray my hair is pin straight and my routine is shampoo conditioner, blow dry that’s it
We don't have a hair care routine we just shampoo, conditioner, wrap in towel and let it dry. That's it. The downside is there is no volume.
Paco Nicky
Im a 3a and mine is shampoo conditioner and air dry lmao I️ probably should do something else but
Mia Ray girl same I would be crunch city. Be lookin like a whole ass haystack
Grace had some sass to her, as if those products won't wash out in one wash. Acted like she was literally dying
Seriously. so annoying. Think about how much effort her friend has to put into her hair after that 🤦♀️
That won't wash out in one wash 😂😂
It's most likely gonna weigh down her hair for like at least 2 weeks.
Y'all clearly don't know what you're talking about 😂
Also, European hair that is wavy or curly looks really nasty and weird if it loses its shape because it doesn't straighten out completely. It looks like you've got cowlicks all over and is just a mess. Because the hair doesn't know what to do so it just does all kinds of weird half waves. Not the type you see at the beach. Hate to do it but I'm going to say it again - you guys don't know anything about European hair
The Ramen King Damn, let the girl have some fun. They were both just messing around. Good lord.
"Air in different forms" I died 🤣🤣❤ I never thought about it like that before
My average wash day:
1) Wet hair with spray bottle
2) Separate into 4 sections and detangle with a heavy detangler
3) Rinse out the detangler and shampoo 1 or twice depending on product buildup
4) Detangle again before conditioning
5) Use heavy conditioner and let sit for 4 minutes
6) Rinse out and section hair off into 4 sections again
7) apply a mix of deep conditioner and oils (jojoba, olive, rosemary etc.) throughout my whole head
8) sit under the dryer for 30 minutes
9) rinse out and apply cream leave
10) separate hair into 8 sections and add eco styler and a cream to each twist
11) do a mixture of 2 stand and 3 strand twists and leave overnight for the next day
and people wonder why wash day has to be scheduled and Is dreaded by most naturals ._.
Sacred Basden For me?
My washing process...
1. Dampen my hair and parts into 8 pieces
2. Detangle
3. Wash my hair with heavy shampoo 3 times. Then condition
4. Detangle hair with the conditioner still in my hair
5. Rinse out conditioner
6. Detangles damp hair
7. Part into 8 pieces
8. Detangle again and blow dry with high heat
9. When hair is completely dry, part hair into ten pieces and put hair grease in the parts.
10. Style
Mine is
1 rinse hair
2 shampoo and conditioner
3 RIP OUT MY HAIR IN THE SHOWER
4 try to stop the bleeding on my head
5 put olive oil in hair
6 wait a horrible week until you have to do it all over again
Sacred Basden mine is
1- shampoo twice
2- put on conditionner and detangle
3- wash it off get out of shower
4- detangle again
5-moisturize and sleep
Jayda Loves Ryan Ross accurate😂😂

Grace has textured hair but I wouldn't say wavy, but not pin straight either. People in the comments are rude af tho. It's a lighthearted fun video guys, calm down. For the lulz.
Rita Byrd if it's not straight then it's wavy...
If her hair was straight, it wouldnt frizz up without product. She has very subtle waves but theyre there
Rita Byrd I literary see no one hating
😂😂😂 the things naturally curly will have y'all out here doing... *checks hair to see if it dried up in solidarity, adds more moisture anyway*
Lmfaooooooo, I was here doing a flaxseed gel to my hair and I felt like deep conditioning it instead after that.

I Actually LOVED this and their friendship
"slightly more dense air" 😂
Hair spray= *air*
moose= wet *air*
whip= slightly more sense *air*
conditioner= creamy *air*

She making a big deal out of the "waves" She never had in the first place lol
And you triggered at shit you don't even know about, go get educated 😂😂

It is wavy though. Cant you see it? Its visibly not straight and its visibly not curly.

@@EmilyHutton512 2b is pushing it.
She has a 2a texture with body. 2a isnt really defined.
Ceci Torr You can’t force straight hair to be wavy. You have to have texture. And at the beginning does her hair look straight?🙄
White girl is gonna have super moisturized hair . Black girl is gonna get destroyed hair that need rehab .. :(
Amanda H white girl is gonna have fucked up hair that's oily af and it's gonna be volumeless
Guys they could have washes the product out WHEN THEY GOT HOME!!, idk what the big deal is???
I like how that white girl is complaining the whole time but that black girl just practically riped out her roots with the brush and was smiling the whole time. #whatwaves #wheretheyattho
paramorefan90 ikr #wavesarenotcurls 😂😂
you gotta take care of yourself man
Oh my leave the girl alone tf
Literally she was like “I’m not gonna have any waves now” yeah because your hair isn’t wavy it’s straight. Adding mousse and sea salt spray and scrunching it and diffusing it to make waves does not count as naturally wavy hair. If you air dry your hair and it’s straight, you have straight hair...🙄
It's so funny how everybody's getting triggered because Grace called her hair wavy😂
Amya Dozier I know
Lol, I know, right? People are too intense. I thought both of them were charming.

You Mad? That’s not what racism is 🤦🏾♀️
Yesss my faceee😂😂😂
Omg samee the struggle is real, we have to products for a reason
what? it will be fine if she goes home and washes it again...
Exactly how I felt lol. I was like uhh, all she has to do is go home and wash her hair, its more of a hassle for Evelyn. Both people agreed to do the video so I guess they knew what they were signing up for lol but yeah Grace's side comments were more annoying tbh lol
Rochai say-hey damaged how?
Shea Moisture and Carol's daughter need to watch this video to remind them what works for black hair and caucasian hair is DIFFERENT! Make a new line not change the formula of products that works for curly and kinky textures.
was just about to comment the exactttt same thing!!
ToyaRR Hey girl! I was scrolling and saw you!

I love this! I've always wanted a non-black person to try our hair care routine and vice versa. You ladies did well and I laughed the whole time!
Bianca Rivera Evelyn is really funny. Is she actress or a stand up?
Hiya! I saw you on a wavy hair video a minute ago
Y'all had to be well compensated for this because I could NEVER switch routines with someone who has completely different hair than me.
This was the funniest video I've seen in a while. Evelyn...I feel you girl LOL
"Air in different forms" lmfao
This is what a Shea Moisture commercial should look like. Hilarious!!!
When they switched back and forth with the blow dryer I lost it lmao
This was actually really fun to watch. Thanks for tormenting your locks for my entertainment.
i do not detect and waves before or after. im sorry her hair looked basically the same.
kayla m she scrunched. but if you have to scrunch your hair to get the "waves" then it's not wavy
oh shit the fuck 200 likes god damn just checked this shit i didnt know i was famous wow thanks
Sage Bowman
Everybody has some shit.... about themselves.
Sage Bowman
Okay
You see how the white girl scrunched her face up at the ingredients in Shea Moisture because she knows she can't use it... That's exactly why black women are confused on what the hell Shea Moisture is thinking...
LOL I buy Shea Moisture for my mixed kids. I wish they had a line I could use because I love the company and their products so much.
iiNDiie1 but there are white women with curly hair that loves and swear by shea moisture.
Even this girl had more waves than them and she still knew it wouldn't work for her.
iiNDiie1 girlll this is exactly what I was saying. Give them their own line DONT FUCK UP OURS!

y'all are........ doing the most attacking grace for not liking those heavy-ass products. it's supposed to be funny, it isn't that deep. also, i didn't know people with wavy hair weren't supposed to use products on thier hair??? sis was using whips and sprays... that's normal??
maya I have wavy ass hair and my sister had straight hair all her life. So I asked her to use my products, scrunch and diffuse. Guess what? Her hair came out like Grace. Grace's hair isn't wavy its straight hair with lots and lots of body.
Mouse and sprays help keep some curl, otherwise all the curls fall out during the day
Is this English?
my sister and i use the same products. my hair is curly/wavy hers is pin straight. she scrunchs to get volume in her hair, but it is still straight. she diffuses her hair, because we use the same blow dryer, but her hair is still straight. I think it is just different hair types.
@@gappystan2674 Im in the same boat as your sis. Mines pin point straight at every inch. Scrunching and diffusing even with products does nothing. My hair will bearly hold curls for 4hrs with heat, with spray. My hair hates to have volume it seems.. the strands are too fine to hold anything.
i feel like when it comes to hair care asians have it the easiest tbh
