First of all shout outs to our bmx. This channel and media entity give us a really good look at riding both behind the scenes and video part to video part. We really needed this after all the years of tcu turning every rider into a lean sipper. Demarcus is a great guy and a sick rider. Literally the only tidier that’s made me feel comfortable riding switch pegs as my regular. The guy deserves so much from this industry and he’s not the only one. It’s good that fudger is down to show these sides of the career path that we normally wouldn’t. Also stoked you guys featured him a ton the last month, I’m sure that helped him with gt. Love all u guys!
Demarcus is more humble than one can attempt to gauge! I used to ride bmx right along side of him almost every day in his earliest years in this sport. Not only did he make the sport look enticing, but he would have you grinding handrails by the end of the week if you were lucky for his insights.🤲🏾💪🏾🙏🏾
@@OurBMX He rambles. On and on. Every question is some grand pontification with 10x too many words, like every single thing is some big life lesson. A good interviewer has to tame that from a guest.
I have never listened to or watched a podcast in its entirety. Ever. But i just sat for the last 3 hours enthralled listening to this one. This is seriously one of the best things i have ever seen on the internet. Please, please, Please! keep this stuff coming.
You know I'd love to see Demarcus go on 'the nine club' to have a discussion about the skater/bmx problem, which to be fair and honest is almost 100% on them. He speaks very eloquently and his intelligence would be hard to argue with, I mean it's so silly to begin with.. I do think that's mostly a California/west coast thing, but I'm sure in big cities like Philly and New York have issues.. I live in pittsburgh and I haven't personally experienced anything, I do feel that vibe tho and it pisses me off to no end... Good interview I'm a huge fan of Demarcus and even more so after this podcast!
Denis and Fudger and Demarcus y'all kept it 💯 on the" race " issue in BMX. It's a touchy subject for some and y'all kept it so real and professional. No 1 talks about it in an in depth and serious way, but you guys did!Thank you!
A little over the top though. Like the whole "homie" and "YOU HAVE TO SEE COLOR" Like fudger is right. If everyone in the world were mixed racism wouldnt exist. Instead there would be classism like rich vs poor or something else. There will always be ways for the world governments to divide us. Skin is just the easiest to segregate by.
Here’s to the discussion at 47:00 The whole, “I don’t see color” thing in a nutshell: imagine a salad, but everything is lettuce. Or a meal, but everything tastes exactly the same. Or picture of everyone rode the exact same setup, with the same style. That’d be boring and not nearly as rich an experience, right? It’s ok to see color. In fact, embrace it! But leave out the negative stereotypes and appreciate our differences for all of the wonderful things it adds to the conversation and to the culture as a whole. 🤜🏻🤛🏽 🤜🏼🤛🏿
First off, hope you're doing well in all this shit. A couple weeks earlier, I saw a video where a dad asks his kid about a photo of a white boy and a black boy playing. He asks the kid what he sees and he describes the scene, the dad continues to ask more about the scene, and the kid never mentions race or the color of either kid's skin. It was such a non-issue that it wasn't worth mentioning at all. I found that powerful and that's what I envision when I mentioned "I don't see color." I'm struggling a bit to put it into words, but I definitely see the idea of appreciating our differences and I think that's part of it in a sense...appreciating our differences and beauties while not letting preconceived notions/stereotypes associated with skin color.
Demarcus is such a dope rider he is really underrated an needs more light shined on him he is very marketable I can see him being in any company he’s a all around guy you can’t go wrong with him.
The reason those stats don't add up to 100% is because Hispanic isn't a race per say. You can have white Hispanics (like a lot of people from Spain), brown Hispanics, or Afro-Latinos. Just shows how complicated identities can be. I appreciate y'all having the tough but important conversations, and I hope y'all DeMarcus a drink or dinner for all his emotional labor in explaining things so well and talking about scary moments he's experienced (glad he's okay after that cop incident).
This is a great convo to have. I agree bmx is a great thing. It brings a lot of people with different backgrounds together. Let's keep the positivity and love
One guest that would be sick and hopefully doable is Christian Rigal! Having one of games' best filmers, one of the best filmer/media platform owners in fudger and one of the best riders in Dennis. I think it would be really interesting to talk about the process of filming parts, advice for kids and tips for younger guys wanting to film better and even gear advice and hows best to start. Plus, you guys clearly love Christian and we all do so we want to hear his story.
The timing of your comment couldn't be better...we're dropping an extra episode of Unclicked with Christian and Nathan tomorrow to coincide with their new video project dropping. I didn't want to nerd out too much on tech stuff, but hopefully it gives you some insight! And thank you!
I'm pretty sure Sean said that everybody in the van was like "WTF!?" Full lenght from new sponsor? awesome! This interview/podcast kinda remainded me Neil Harrington's props bio. Does Volume have only 1 pro now?

Fudger sounds like he had a personal problem with Mike, I have been in Ecuador on a ride out street jam that went from morning to night and chilled with mike and we were the only two white skinned sunburnt to fuck guys there and you feel nothing but love between mike and the kids out there and furthermore he was living there and was a school teacher, I never heard or felt as another white dude any negative racial attitude or comments.
