I got back on the bike because of Cory.. a few years ago i kept stumbling on the dudes i watched as a kid still riding and picked up a bike at 34, now i'm 37 and still loving it and getting better at going sidways each year lol. good with it.
Right On Cory!!! im 49, bmx at 5 into moto x til 2000 then injuries + pain pills ended me submerged in the opiod epidemic. Picked up a Fit mac3 6 yrs ago and to day im sober an street/park riding! BMX is my yoga and my religion, I thank god for you guys!!! keeping me young
At 53 Cory has been basically in my life for the last 20-25 years. From just coming up, to raging, to now kinda fading away. So it was really nice to see and hear that he’s doing okay. Great episode. Cory is THE MAN!!
Catching up on so older episodes that got past me while you guys are off for the week and loving it. What a piece of history these old episodes. Hopefully you are having a great time and happy to have this show and channel
This was my favorite podcast so far. Informative about life as a pro across the board. Litterally a life time of experience both old/ mid and mid/new school riding!
This was a cool listen. I’m almost 50 and can remember Cory the bad boy of BMX. Not Rick Thorn the water down version. The Rock Star of BMX now family man recovered party animal. Still styling loving his craft.
Dam I remember when Cory came up to Coddy Diggs and I got the chance to ride with NASTY . Locals only for that session There are 4 dudes counting Diggs and we are Digging all the time . That was dope how Cory recognized The dudes that DIG.
Well Cory...you were saying "who cares about what I'm doing" and "Nobody likes me or my riding anymore". Now to be honest buddy and sorry I don't mean this in a bad way. I didn't really keep up with your riding when you were in your prim. Because our styles were completely different. I came up riding everything but trails were always where my heart was. Ruben, Taj and Joe were my biggest influences. I turned 40 this year and haven't been on my bike in quite a few years. I still keep up with it on RUclips, and have been missing the trails deeply as of late. To listen to this interview pur lives sound very similar but you stayed on your bike. After watching this I'm going to build a new bike and start on some trails before winter sets in over here Charlotte NC. You guys talking about the old RideBMX mag made me think about the time Mark showed up at my old trails just after 911 and took a pic of me, Kenny Groves that ended up as a 2 page spread in the Feb 2002 issue. I believe its in the STRANGE DAYS Southeast Tour section. Good luck with everything guys, and thanks so much for having him on. Its the inspiration I believed I needed.
@@christianhewett843 ive been off my bike for 13 yrs or so. Ive lost touch with anybody that would know. Back when I was riding there was my trails and just a few more smaller spots. To even call those trails was a stretch tho.
Cory went to my High School way before I went there. When I was going there he would pick up his sister sometimes and whenever I’d see him I’d be actually star struck. I used to drive by his backyard dirt track everyday and always told myself I’d ride it one day. Never got the chance but still looked up to the guy when I rode BMX
I use to ride with Corey back in 2014 at Woodward west all the time, he would even drop me off at my house after riding! I’m glad to see him still till sending it!! I recently bought a bmx bike again. Last time I rode was 2015. I miss this guy.
When I was like.. maybe 13? I went to a CFB contest and my mom looked at Nastazio's bike not knowing it was his and said "who rides a Huffy?".. I'm pretty sure he heard it and just laughed. It's an old memory though. I just remember being like.. MOM.. WHAT? The longevity that this dude has in the sport is incredible.
I feel so bad for not knowing anything about this man, I've got videos and interviews to watch. This is one of my favorite unclicked podcast I've watched yet there's enough seriousness, touchy subjects humor and all around just a good vibe. 👌
Been waiting for this one to drop as soon as you announced it! Nasty was, is and will remain one of BMX's all time APES! Fuck ye boys this was awesome \m/
What I don't understand about Cory thinking he's not the man anymore is that I myself am someone that got into riding around 6 years ago only but even I have known about him within my first year of being into it. Everybody knows and loves the name Cory Nastazio even someone like myself who did not grow up with him in his prime. I would love if he did more stuff on camera
Nasty and TJ have always been my favorite riders. I met TJ at planet plywood fuckin 20 years ago and my dude was SKATEBOARDING!! He was actually good too. He took a couple runs on my bike, because it was his signature model specialized vegas in gold, hahahahaha. I was a 13 year old kid and he was hella cool and talked to me the whole time, told me stories and shit it was crazy as a kid. Never met Cory but fuck man i wish i could have. Such a gangster. Now im a bigger fan because hes a awesome dad and dedicated husband. As a father and husband myself, i respect the FUCK out of that.
NASTY DOG CHILLIN...I love you big dog. You've been a huge influence in my life for 30 years or whatever. You're the man! I hope you see this or do a Nastazio 2.0
So dope. Rode trails with him for the first time in 1998 when i was 15, then again when I was in my 30s. "What happened to your finger?" "Fell down dancing.... at a club" Who knows what that's from? lol
Can't wait to see the eastside sessions. Close to home and that is the fucking holy Grail of trails. You guys need to have Matty and clint on for sureee
I seen Cory at the X Games a few years ago just standing by the dirt course. He wasn't riding or anything, I was stoked. But was nervous to say anything to him. He was just hanging in the shadows, next time I'll say something..
New to BMX old as hell just starting to ride, question why can't I find magazines like mtn bikes have. The stories on your podcast are amazing and will be great in print.
Every time Nasty is on the air I have to listen, it's always good. I just had a thought while they were talking about the update on Simon. Would OurBMX consider doing a weekly BMX update like a TV Show? That would be cool, like the Bluetorch days.
Sad to hear that he and Stephen aren't speaking. I read Stephen's book and didn't think it showed Cory in a negative light. Wild, as we knew they both were, but not negative.
When I was a young....Nasty said, "Whip tha kitty, whip tha bike....livin good, livin right" ....Thats why, I am 37 yrs old now, my tires always dirty and I can MF'ing whip! Man.....I stay brappp't, Never gonna stop! BeerSexRealBmx! lmao!
Nasty is the shit man such an inspiration to make shit happen and not let life and the norm take over. I just wanna ride my bike forever and make it happen. I hope it’s gunna work out
I always found it strange that BMXers stick to one style. Growing up we did absolutely everything that involved BMX dirt flatland all kinds of stuff it’s amazing how separate the styles are imagine if people just brought it all together.
Grew up watching him, in my 30's now. Its crazy how fast the years go.
Same man! One of my favorites growing up
Only reason why I wanted a Huffy back in the day lol I'm 31 now
I’m 35 and started riding again like a year ago. Better now than I ever was.
Hell yea me too. I remember watching the MTV festival him killing it. Glad he's still around for sure
Same here
Best podcast yet forsure
its lit

Hell yeah, Aaron. 🙌🙌
I love Nasty Bro....Every Second of him on Camera is Pure Gold. He's a entertaining, inspiring and Legendary ❤🎉
Every episode gives me such a big appreciation for the guest. It's great seeing Cory still riding. Cory was my idol growing up.

Baz I’m dying for your time on here. You’ve got some story’s bro!
😭 baggy pants and shirt...nasty you just described yourself in the 90s brotha!
🤣
Driving from San Antonio to Nashville and I’m listen to this show the whole way. I’m hooked.
Remember watching Nastys World as a kid. Been a fan ever since, I'm 26 now and I've never loved this bloke more. A true legend.
Been on a ramp with Corey in the early 2,000’s. Always thought he was cocky but he’s super cool listening to this now. Much respect
I'm a simple man, I see Nasty I click like 👍
His style on and off the bike is unique and legendary. Theer have never been and wont ever be another Nasty!
I watched this whole thing. I met Cory once at Vans Skatepark in Virginia 20 years ago or so. He was so cool and nice. Great interview.
This was a cool listen. I’m almost 50 and can remember Cory the bad boy of BMX. Not Rick Thorn the water down version. The Rock Star of BMX now family man recovered party animal. Still styling loving his craft.
Following Cory on instagram still ripping and being rad inspired me buy another bike and get back into it.
Can’t lie and say I know a whole lot about Cory but listening to this makes me want to learn! Definitely one of my favorites so far🤘🏽
I remember when Nasty was riding for Bully bikes in the 90’s. Still rides like a boss!

Cory is such a rad dude. Tells it like it is.
Long live Cory! Thanks for your inspiration to all us local kids at Westgate Trails in WPB FL way back in the day. Still the same dude 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Love hearing Nasty! One of the most interesting guys in BMX.
One of the best podcasts. Serious and hilarious. Great job Fudger!
Thanks!
Best pod yet. 36 and I remember the Nasty days. Fudger you the man.

Awesome interview. More riders from the mid school era please 😁

Cory is one of the best humans stoked on his energy and motivation! Lookin like a stud in his 40s
Nasty taught me to throw caution to the wind for what I really want in life
This had me smiling so much! Great viewing/listening. Thank you 🤙💪

He was a superstar 20yrs ago, and still an amazing rider.
This was so awesome Nasty is the man , such a legend, hero, inspiration, man I love him !!
Cory is the man! Great rider, great personality! I just turned forty and will always remember watching him ride! Absolute Legend!

My respects for Cory. Amazing rider and his personality 👍🏽👌🏽

love Fudger's little headings... "The whole thing turns into a Dennis Podcast" hahaha
I try, haha.

Corey could still blow up a RUclips channel, like the Danny Duncan of bmx
NASTY DOG CHILLIN...I love you big dog. You've been a huge influence in my life for 30 years or whatever. You're the man! I hope you see this or do a Nastazio 2.0

"Fell down dancing.... at a club"

Me too
"when you meet your hero and he's actually as cool as you thought he was" - that's pretty much what I thought too when I first met Cory. He's the man!
Awesome listen, Cory is definitely one of the best riders and always fun to watch.
Nasty for president 2024
Nastazio is just as cool as I imagine him to be.. he’s also the quintessential Cali bro
Nasty ended up interviewing Dennis haha One of the greatest riders/personalities in BMX forsure
Damn it, alright Corky Badanio. Might have to do a 41@41. 41 clips, in this year of my 41st.
Dennis , my shoulder has the same issue. Used to pop out every time I rode. Over time strengthening will help hold the socket in place
Awesome podcast! Nasty is a good human! Turning 42 Dusting off my bike now ! Thanks guys!! Yeeew!
Hell yeah!
Fantastic... NORA cup holly shit ... you know you’ve been around when you remember Fiola , Wilkerson winning 😀

Such a raw, real interview
Who would thumbs down this piece of history
Yeah man love the podcast im in colorado now but grew up in the O' miss that place haha...back when it had Hill street.....not coast highway
Used to drive by Murray’s place in Riverside and see these dudes shredding the dirt jumps in his backyard. Wonder if Nastazio was one of those guys
Such a wholesome and humble dude 🤙 very funny, thank you for this
Wow what a legend! God has a reason to keep nasty with us for reel✅

Wow he looks great one of my favorite riders of all time.
