Shout out to Ryan’s mom. Those story’s made me so happy thinking about things my mom has done for me.
She will cry it out then nut up harder than stevo
Ryan is one of the best action sports athlete of all time, not just because of his talents in the sport (which are alone enough to make such a claim), but also because of who he is as a person. He's entertaining, genuine, intelligent, kind, humble, and aware of his impact on the world. He is a true professional in every sense of the word, an huge inspiration to so many, and one hell of role-model, not only to kids, but really anyone. R Willy deserves all the medals, fame, and success he has achieved and has yet to achieve. Cheers to you Ryan, you legend!
Ryan is such a sick dude!
You guys are my best friends
Does his own thing.
You are too
His teeth look odd. Were they knocked out in a crash and then replaced?
Finally got to meet Ryan, peraza, and fudger at last weekend in glendale nicest guys there. Really made mine and my son's day. Thx for what you all do and keep pushing the limits of what's possible on two 20" wheels
Peraza mustve been happy to be so close to home. Wish i wouldve known, but holiday weekend would have been hard with the kiddos
I think he was, I jogged his memory when I told him a story of how I thought it was him who in 2008 came to my house in downtown Tucson and pulled a backflip on my mini ramp in the middle of the night at a party for 100$ that my drunk roommate put up, to try to get me to do the flip. Turns out it was his brother Victor, but he was there. Good times
Good on ya Ryan. You have been through some hard times, some shitty bullying, but you're still smiling, still pushing limits, just smashing it. Legend.
Great podcast. R'WILLY is super humbled guy. Just so much positive energy off this guy! I see him doing much more great things! Keep doing you bro!😊
I'm currently on vacation in Japan & all I want to do is go home and ride my bike after watching this.
Ryan is such a humble, cool calm and collective guy. Love watching his vids, what an inspiration.
Worlds biggest extreme sports massively talented superstar couldnt have happened to a better human. What golden person ryan is.
Opened my RUclips app, and this was uploaded 23 seconds ago, stoked
dude is so accepting and down to earth I remember him taking me back stage and seeing all my favourite moto riders so I could get signatures for my jersey and then I got to be part of his video for his youtube channel. and to see him absolutely killing it makes me so happy because he deserves it
Couldn’t agree more, all the conflict between different action sports is so ridiculous when essentially we all share a very similar mindset!
Was always more of a trail rider but it always annoys me how ppl hate on ppl like him. This guys is so insanely talented and pushes the sport just like riders like Aitken, Hoffman, Mirra did. He's just done it in different ways
I’m shocked Monster, Red Bull or Nike hasn’t sponsored RWilly. He’s such a massive role model and just an over-all, down-to-earth good dude.
thank u our bmx for all the amazing stuff to watch ❤ ,,, glad im a midschool rider , i was dirt guy at ww east for a aloooooog time i saw baby trey baby dennis (at a gatorade contest ) baby jai an buckworth top notch a nap an young dhers awesome to see what everyone turned out to be
Ryan is such an amazing athlete and human being!
I was stoked when Rwilly got to x games. Now he's bringing his "unorthodox" tricks to even more contests. Doesn't have to be your favorite, but action sports is better because of him.
Damn a 4 seasons!?!?! Yo wethepeople reissue the 4 seasons!!!! Best frame/complete ever made
Absolute icon!
Thank you, Sir!
Been following willy since his web edit 1.
Kids a legend!
🤞🏽 hope we see Ryan on Dennis' channel this Friday. Another great interview guys, thanks!
2016 and 2017 was the golden age of action sports RUclipsrs
Having watched Ryan for years via his youtube seeing him breakthrough to a full blown star has been a real pleasure.
Great show. Got me through a chunk of my work day.
Awesome dude. So talented. I’m holding you to the high five when we see you in Nashville lol.
I can't believe Snafu is still a company lol i just remember Mike Ardelean was sponsored by then during the nowhere fast days
Another great BMXer story. Love it. Thanks RWilly for being a standup dude out here.
That was a great interview. The riding speaks for itself but way to go Ryan for taking care of Mom and Dad. What an amazing woman she must is to support her son and his dreams.
Dudes attitude has changed the perception of this sport. What an absolute icon. It doesn't hurt to have a Wheaties box kind of household name status athlete on the roster.
hey ryan! i have been a massive fan and have been watching you since you were just a youngin'. So stoked for you and all your accomplishments! most of all your most recent ones one the bmx!!! fkn legend! i love your setup at your place such a legend, bro. keep up the gnarly work
So many nasty words about Ryan's "attitude" in the recent Triple Challenge videos, happy to see a lot of that put to rest in the first few minutes
maybe there is a reason to it ?
@@juju-nl9te tell me a good reason?
Damn we missed Ryan’s dance session😂
loved that catfish r will episode ❤ thank u ryan for existing an being such a great person everything u do counts 🎉
Definitely a good influence on the younger generation. Dennis needs to get Rwilly on a Friday upload
So much skill and no ego.... Such a legend
Ryan is a legend🤙😎
I was surely a hater in the beginning but he won me over especially after winning both events on dirt. He’s as hardcore as they come and I’m glad to hear he didn’t just abandon his scooter either. He keeps it real. Respect 💪
Would love to see ryan do some street edits or tails riding edits put together to expand his capabilities
kagy descibed to me his time in the hospitial frm that injury at the jumps one day it made me fee like how when scotty cranmer got hurt 🙏🏽 would love to see chad on here one day such a nice guy an just like ryan he make u feel like u can do the impossible because he can
Absolute goat and walking legend! Aussie pride remember seeing R willy at a indoor skate park back here in oz think it was at Ramp Attack when i was about 13-14 knew he was gifted then, was on riding for Madd Gear Pro those where fun days
Grew up racing bmx and riding mtb before suspension always liked some dirt. Big air was cool too, remember seeing rw and mind blown what he did with the progression. Maybe not the first always but its cool af to see his scooter tricks on bikes 😂he seems aus af ❤ good podcast 👌 ✌️🫡🇺🇸
Send this man a pallet of Dales
R Willy is the best! Great attitude and great all around rider! My wife just got me for Xmas the nitro circus book with Ryan’s signature and about 4 others in it and it was one of the best gifts I got! Keep it up guys with this shit I love listening to u two while I work .. stay rad🤘🏽
Good listen. Ryan is the man
@OurBMX If my memory serves me correctly, Jorge Jovel was the rider at woodward who did the first 540 flair (he's spanish or something) so the name makes sense lol
Yup, I believe I put the video in there?
I love his passion and enthusiasm
That's awesome! Hell yea!! This was great all around
You're awesome Ryan.
Screw those haters calling you names.
As a skateboard fan I can relate to disliking scooters, but that's mostly a generation thing.
Skateboarding was so big in the 90s and afterwards, Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Bob Burnquist.
Scooter overall seem so childish 🤣 but you can have fun with it and everyone who likes it
The whole time, I just wanted you to ask him about injuries, what he’s had, how he copes, and then you speak only a little bit about it at the end! Could’ve been the best podcast! 😉
I don’t think he’s been hurt all that much, surprisingly.
FINALLY y'all get this guy on here!
seems like a nice stoked guy who does what he likes.
Man respect to Ryan!! Duuder is a beast
Go Ryan, straight out of Queensland.💪
50 minutes in and big shout out to Ryan, Ryan and Dennis. 👊
Been waiting for this one
My reaction to this notification. Aussie legend
Not sure if someone commented it, but Ryan is talking about Jorge Jovel doing
The first 540 flair on Bmx on the cloud 9 vert ramp at Woodward
This was sick, onya RWilly!!
R Willy is the greatest human alive.
Glad they brought up Raha when talking about motorcycles in skate parks hahaha ledgen
Everyone had their own R.Willy that could ride everything... oddly enough ..they killed roller-skates, rollerblades, scooters, skate, Bmx, but our guy, Buzza, wld give shit to every other discipline that he wasn't riding at THAT moment. I think Jason Burroughs, AKA Buzza was the anti-thesis of RWilly come to think of it. Damn, he was great on anything though. Prahran, 1990's. Damn.
R-Willy is by far the best bmxer of all time
No more hate?.
You've earnt the respect 🙏.
Reppin us aussies !!
RW is my idol🔥🔥🔥
8:28 I love this story. As the kid of an immigrant to America, it seems like something we would’ve done. ❤ too poor to afford anything, borrowing gear from anywhere just to ride.
Trying being a BMXer and then have other BMXers judge you when they see you on a mountain bike or road bike...🤣
I was at a skatepark on my 26 Inch DJ bike a few years back. Keep in mind I have been riding BMX since 1980 and still ride BMX as well as other forms of cycling. This kid on a BMX bike rides by me and says, "These stupid mountain bikers don't belong here" under his breath as he rides by.
I rode over to him and explained to him who I was. How I ran a bicycle shop called Twin City BMX in the 90s. How I was riding BMX long before he was born and that if it wasn't for people like me the sport probably wouldn't even exist and so on. He started to apologize and so on. I interrupted him and said, "Don't hate on people you know nothing about." and I rode away.
So this episode with RWilly is extremely important! I remember when all the BMXers called him a scooter kid when he came here to Minneapolis dominating on a BMX bike during the X-Games.
As I watch this I am like, well...now you know. RWilly's mom raced BMX and she kicked ass at it.
People really need to start being more accepting of each other and stop hating on people who do something different. I remember when we used to call inline skaters "Fruit Booters"...ugh.
Thanks for doing this interview. And Ryan...thanks for pushing through all the crap and just being who you wanted to be! ✌️
As someone who spent most of my young adulthood on MTB's in the skatepark in the late 90's and early 00's, I really appreciate hearing the similarities with the scooter stuff, hearing Ryan's perspective is great, and so similar, except scooters actually got popular, ha.
@@anotherjaunt2492 I think part of the reason scooters are popular is because they are much cheaper than a bike. It's also why skateboarding is more popular. Both are more accessible to people. BMX bikes, at least ones that can hold up to skateparks and jumps, cost at least $400 or more. Mountain bikes, again good quality ones, easily surpass $1k or more.
Awesome! Also will be great if you guys activate closed captions! Thanks! 👏🏼👏🏼🔥
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
How I wish could personally high on one of you and other sick bmx riders in the sports! 🔥
best podcast ever... and im a mtb'er :P
Hoping you’d get him on !
Rwilly is a goat ❤
GOAT !
Such a good pod
"Ryan Fudge-Daddy" is amazing. New name 💪
one of us, one of us, one of us
Ryan is the best!!
Never seen Ryan drink a beer before. I'm pretty sure he can down quite a few after seeing that
I never want to use the wheelchair card 😂but I’m a quadriplegic now from Tas I rode Bmx and hung with you and the nitro boys in Devonport back before I snapped my neck and would love the jersey for the man cave 😎
Good pod man
CHANGE ATTITUDE, CHANGE OUTCOME!!!
I like RWilly!
respect to the chug off
Sick
fookinLegend
What a great video
Big Willy!
How’d you not actually que the dirt bike landing on varga clip;) haha
HELL YAH RYAN haha wish I could've been there with ya ffs,,, 😂 😂 🤦♂️ 🤦♂️ 🙈 thx for hiding it down ❤❤
Team building
Am 5 miutes in, RW should give rollerskating vert or big air o go as he showed all he can dominate on wheels right!? ❤
Stokaine!!
RWilly is the bestest
#Legend
At the Louisville scene their are a bunch of motorcycles. The only problem is the people riding them don’t care if they hit people. Even if their are 8 year old kids their riding they will still try dropping in not caring at all who they might run into.
Prototype 2 tank
Would love to see Scotty and or Matty Cranmer!!! also Pat Laughlin!!! AKA big daddy!!!
🤝
When it comes to shit talking online? Ben Hennon told me something pretty funny when I was probably 15? Helping out at an event in my town desperately trying to get funding for for a new park. If you're gunna talk shit, best be willing to say those same things to a riders face!
We'd just been having a bit of a chat inbetween him hitting the ramp, towards the end I asked him for an autograph & he wrote no on my tshirt haha. I won't repeat what I said to him but he gave me a massive smirk & then signed it properly lol.
I'll totally admit I was in the same camp as Dennis! I'd happily of said it to Ryan, would've been more playful than aggro though to be fair! There's just no real need for it at the end of the day. Guess that definitely comes with age haha.
