Hi there. Brand new to tattooing and just been watching tutorial videos. Just a quick question..On some videos they say about not working over the same area loads as it can damage the skin and mess up the tattoo etc. It looks like do loads of passes on the shading I noticed. Would this not damage the skin or is it ok to do loads of passes in this situation because its a fine/small needle attachment? cheers

I hope you get to see my question I see you use this thick artificial skin to practice ,I find them pretty expensive so I buy the thin ones... Does it make a major difference in shading depending on type of practicing skin one uses ?
That is a great question! From my experience with both the Reelskin which are the thicker ones you are referring to are far better to shade with over the thinner fake skins. When I would get the thinner fake skins from amazon I would have to really really work to shade the fake skin. On this page of my website I have listed various fake skins that I have used along my way. I will link you below. danielyuck.com/fake-skins-and-limbs/ I also have a blog page sharing links and videos to the fake skins I have used and use, differences, etc right here danielyuck.com/good-fake-skins-limbs-for-tattoos/#more-6716
@@DanielYuck I was using different types of cheap fake skins ,some of them are just not good but workable ,but some of them are just so terrible that it's impossible to practice on them. Ink won't get in the silicone, it would be extremely pale ,impossible to do any serious shading... waste of money

Mate do you have a shop and if so where in the States is it. I am in Australia and I visit the US I would love to come and a tattoo from you.
Not sure if my machine needs tuning? I use a pen style tattoo machine. And I can’t ever see the needle gong back into the cartridge ever ? And I see yours doing that clearly even when I put it at a low voltage
@@tylerparker3024 it's useful for when you don't need the size of a mag to do the job, but going in every direction probably gives weird healing I'd imagine there is a certain technique
Ive done it in very small places yes but in my experience in doing so i basically use the technique this guy was using only in all directions (basically cross hatch in a full circle) until its solid. You just want to be careful obviously and dont tear up the skin. If you accomplish that it heals good. Ive done it on myself
When I mention 20,40,60,80 I am referring to the shading of ink I am applying. I use a pre-made Dynamic greywash set and they come in 20, 40, 60 & 80. 20 Being the lightest and 80 being the darkest shade in the greywash set.
Freshly learning here and i decided to do some research before buying a gun and starting my tattooing journey and as stupid as my question may b I was just wondering if u r supposed to change the needle when u change colors?
I'm finding when I try the whipping, instead of making defined and clear dots, it's just making a very faded broken line. I've tried low and high voltage but doesn't seem to take on my fake skin, any ideas??
New to tattoo, asking to understand...You say to use the tip of your needle, but would that mean the ink isn't being set into the second layer of skin? I am thinking, wouldn't this just fall out?
Thats a great question! When I stipple I like to run my machine at 5 volts to get that pepper look or if I am going for more smoother with a textured look I will run at 8 volts even. It also depends on the machine we use as well as every machine pushes differently.
Not wanting this to sound negative at all, but how sensitive, or tender does this make the clients skin area when shading this way. I have no idea is why I'm asking, just seems like this would really start to get really tender.
Thank you for sharing. My problem is my practice shades never come out so well.. also my lines don’t show until I’ve run the needle across the skin a few times. Why can’t I get a solid straight line in one run instead of having to run my needle over the skin a few more times just to get my ink to show. Any ideas that can help will be appreciated
@TATTZBYALI I use a coil machine and when I put it at such a low voltage, it’s very slow and barely shows a line. Until I increase the voltage which helps but doesn’t make very much difference.
If your haven't got the answer yet. I have seem many people run around 6 volts to 6.5 to line with. Personally I stick with a solid 8 for lining and around 8.5 to shade. Always remember to pace your hand when you pull your lines. Too fast and your ink wont stick and it will be spotted. Also remember to keep your machine angled so the ink is dropped properly. Hope this helps you.

Not sure if my machine needs tuning? I use a pen style tattoo machine. And I can’t ever see the needle gong back into the cartridge ever ? And I see yours doing that clearly even when I put it at a low voltage
I'm trying to learn to shade. I got the line work down but shading is difficult for me with a machine
wouldn't going over the skin that much tear it up? I'm trying to learn to tattoo and would love to know!
Very helpful vidio sir ji
That’s awesome!
I’m glad you found my video helpful!
I appreciate your time on my channel and the support you’ve shown me. 🤝
How do u close ink bottles to prevent from pouring out
Your are a angel ,for the rookies artist's
Do you have to hit the dermis when shading too ?
Would love to see a video on how to pack black with Round liners, I've yet to see any RUclips videos showing accurately how to do it.
Probably because its not a good idea. But basically you would just go over the area in every direction
Really want to start this.
Can anyone explain me what is 40s and 20s that his talking?? 35:25
When I mention 20,40,60,80 I am referring to the shading of ink I am applying. I use a pre-made Dynamic greywash set and they come in 20, 40, 60 & 80. 20 Being the lightest and 80 being the darkest shade in the greywash set.
can i ask you about what needle should use if i want tatto a scar with my same skin colour to hide it
Good teaching !
Hi ya m8, did you do the lining with a 4 stoke on that tat and with that machine. Excellent really good vids bud 🇬🇧👍
Freshly learning here and i decided to do some research before buying a gun and starting my tattooing journey and as stupid as my question may b I was just wondering if u r supposed to change the needle when u change colors?
What voltage did you start with? And did you change it throughout?
Trying to see if these will fit dragonhawk mast pens?
Keep these videos coming we appreciate ya a lot
Hi, where can I get the reference design from the video ?
Such good video! 👍🙏🏼
I'm finding when I try the whipping, instead of making defined and clear dots, it's just making a very faded broken line. I've tried low and high voltage but doesn't seem to take on my fake skin, any ideas??
AMAIZING !
🖤🔥🖤🔥 gracias amigo más gente como tú!!! Dios te bendiga, mucho éxito!!!
The tip of the needle is beveled, can it be used to ride along the surface of the skin
New to tattoo, asking to understand...You say to use the tip of your needle, but would that mean the ink isn't being set into the second layer of skin? I am thinking, wouldn't this just fall out?
that's what I was thinking, i'd love if someone explained!
where can i get the stencil so i can practice like this?
What voltage you running your machine at when stipple shading Dan??
Thats a great question!
When I stipple I like to run my machine at 5 volts to get that pepper look or if I am going for more smoother with a textured look I will run at 8 volts even. It also depends on the machine we use as well as every machine pushes differently.
Where do you buy the fake skin from? Its looks class
Not wanting this to sound negative at all, but how sensitive, or tender does this make the clients skin area when shading this way. I have no idea is why I'm asking, just seems like this would really start to get really tender.
Well done, very helpful.
What is your black ink preference for general lining of American traditional style tattoo?
I think he uses Dynamic Black.
awesome video! thank you for making this! :D
Bro the thickness of the lines In the lining which needle did you use?keep the good work
Great video!!!!
What is the shiny stuff you keep wiping on it
Dammit, i wanted to know how to do Mag shading for tight spaces. Literally thought this was it.
@MR.SKETCHINKSTUDIO thank you.
@MR.SKETCHINKSTUDIO yes I’ll stay practicing. Thank you for the tip. I appreciate it .
@TATTZBYALI I use a coil machine and when I put it at such a low voltage, it’s very slow and barely shows a line. Until I increase the voltage which helps but doesn’t make very much difference.
@TATTZBYALI okay I’ll do just that. Thank you so much for your time.
What kind of skin are you using ? I’ve been trying to find some good quality to match the feel of tattooing on real skin
Dude thank you soooo much for your videos !
Great video
NEEDLE SIZE AND VOLTAGE PLS ? thanks a lot
What voltage did you use?? Thank you
