  • Do you want to know how to configure a specific menu in your electric vehicle? Do you want to know what button to press for a specific feature? EQ How-To videos answer viewer questions, as well as from Facebook and Instagram. I have been making very short tutorial videos since 2019 but had only used them to answer questions on Facebook.
    Since I have a few of these 1-minute videos already created I will be sharing them here on my channel. You may see some things related to the older 2019 Kia Niro EV that I owned previously, which will also relate to the 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric, but I have already made some about the Kia EV6, and those will relate directly to the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
    Let me know if you want me to show you how to configure something specific and I will see what I can do.

    Great idea, it's certainly helps us new EV owners

    I love this idea! It will help out many new (and old) EV owners.
    Here's a question: Does the EV6 and Ionic 5 have true one pedal driving? Or is it like the Kona EV where it doesn't stop the car completely unless the left steering paddle is held down.
    Thanks André!

      @EV-olution  Год назад +1

      Yes, the Kia EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 both have real 1 pedal driving with a mode called i-Pedal. You can see about it in this video that I made: ruclips.net/video/LD5HnEej-gw/видео.html

    Great idea for a series! Just a thought André: try filming the quick videos in telephone portrait and tagging them with #shorts and see if that gives you any traction on the videos.

      I have been considering it, but the videos that I already have were created in 16:9 for Facebook, so easier to just use what I have as a normal series and maybe migrate to shorts later. Thanks.

      Thanks again. My only concern about shorts is whether it will attract the right people. My channel growth has been very organic and the people that are subscribed seem to like what I make and don't care about my lack of schedule for posting videos. I guess I just have to try and see what happens.

      But isn't it impossible to add comments/queries to shorts?

    • @EV-olution
      @EV-olution  Год назад

      @@donjohnson24 that is a good point that eliminates shorts.

    How do you get out of the drivers door and go to the back door and open it...The car unlocks the back door OK from inside but I find that I have to hit unlock button on drivers door if I want to get somethign off back seat

    • @EV-olution
      @EV-olution  Год назад +1

      It depends on how you have your auto-unlock feature set. In my car I set the unlock to only happen when I power off the car; so if I start my car, put it in drive, then decide I need to go to the back seat, the doors do not unlock when I put the car in park. Meaning that I have to unlock the car doors manually with the unlock button. However, this is not the default configuration of the auto-unlock feature. In the EV6 the auto-unlock default setting is to unlock all doors when the car is put into park. If your car does not unlock all doors when you put it in park then you have to change the setting in the touchscreen. I will make a video to show you how to change the setting and make it episode 4 since I already have episodes 1, 2 and 3 loaded on RUclips. They will go live on Wednesday, Friday and the following Wednesday. In theory my response video would be live on Wednesday the 26th.

      @@GaryBuck as I mention in my initial response to your question, I am pretty sure your auto-unlock feature is not set to Park instead of Power off. Thanks, I will mention your name in the How-To video.

      While I went to record the menus in my car I realized that there is also the 2-Press Unlock feature that makes it so only the driver door unlocks automatically. If you deactivate 2-Press Unlock then all the doors unlock. I have recorded the video and need to do the editing. I moved things around and It will go live on Friday the 21st of October.
