this hand to hand combat war lasted 10 years!? holy moly lol
For a God I guess it's may be minutes or so...
@@overlordp.3758 only in hindsight, the gods perception of time is the same as humans and they hadn’t been around that long, and most of them had spent their entire lives inside Cronus’ stomach so the war was their entire lives.
@@KangarooMonkey Technically, I believe that time goes by faster for the god's because casual event's are stretched out for hundreds of years. For example, Zeus and Hera's honeymoon lasted for 300 year's and according to some ancient philosophers, the god's transcend time
Well, it was fictional so
Also, neither side could really die, both being immortal
Not gonna lie, GOW made this so epic.

The Titans break free from Tartarus but left the Cyclops and the Hecatonchires there. - "Hah! And what they're gonna do?"
Zeus frees them - "Hey Uncles, I need help..."
Cyclops - "Sure, We'll make something for bashing your old man."
Hecatonchires - "Hey now, You can't let the kids do all that by themself..."
Titan: fighting against olympian. Lose against olympian. Got severe punishment by olympian
Meanwhile Oceanus: chilling in the ocean
FYI, Gaea was the one who told Zeus how to get and treat the reinforcements to beat the Titans.
Really? I thought Gaia hates Zeus because of this
@@vashl6845 oh she does hate him, when he threw some of her other children in Tartarus, she turned her back on the Gods, not that I blame her, where were the Gods when Nature needed help ?
@@mayakusakai2389 What I meant was that she never liked the gods in the first place..... she loved her titans and hates her grandkids.
@@vashl6845 not really, Gaea gifted the golden apple tree to Hera during her wedding, but then Zeus locked some of her children in Tartarus (they were practicing dark magic), and totally abandoned nature (Gaea) when humans were destoying it, so Gaea woke up and decided to take revenge on them by birthing the Giants, who lost against the gods.
@@vashl6845 Gaea and Uranos had Cyclops and Hekatoncheiries as children.
Uranos thought they were abominations, and put them back into Gaea, causing her great pains. Then Gaea directed Cronus how to beat Uranos, the Cyclops helped.
Cronus became the new ruler and did not reward the Cyclops, but re-imprisoned them. Cronus effectively was ungrateful and just used them.
I’m glad how this is still going I’m just so glad I love these comics
I've always wondered two things: 1. If the Male gods got those awesome weapons, what did the godesses get from the cyclops? 2. Which Titans besides Cronos and Atlas fought the gods?
What do you guys think Hestia Demeter and Hera got?
It's not really known what the Greek Goddesses got, mostly it's about Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. The Theogony doesn't really list which side each Titan took and what their subsequent fates were except for Cronus and Atlas the story mostly serves as a tale of the Greeks letting go of their savage pasts (i.e. the Titans) and becoming more civilized (i.e. the Olympians). Some Titans like Themis and Prometheus sided with the Olympians and reaped the rewards, while several others sat out the fight and were spared punishment.
....nothing.
the godesses got pregenent also the titans of the north west east and south also fought along with evey other male titan other than promrtheus and his brother and oceaunus
The theogony is pretty in-depth so because they weren’t stated to have gotten anything it’s likely that the goddesses probably didn’t get anything.
It’s probably because they weren’t as important as the three kings, but it also might’ve been related to the fact that Hesiod was kinda, sorta, very extremely sexist. Although it probably was just because they weren’t as important.
There is indeed a lost poem known as Titanomachy which holds every single account of this great war. But because the entire epic is lost we will never able to know about it. Unless time machines come to existence.
Bruh Hestia is one badass goddess.
Why what did she do? I mean I completely agree but what did she do in this story that was badass?
@@KangarooMonkey She is described as a peace loving deity with no stories that puts her in a bad light yet in this illustration, she fought the titans and her design is dope.
@@Charles-nc4zj oh ok, I know all that, I just didn’t see why you were bringing it up here since she’s never even mentioned.

@Coughee Pls
Nope! That’ll be Pontos, the Water Primordial & Personification of Fluidity, who cause the Titans to attack humanity as shown in Saint Seiya Next Dimension.

if you think about it, Hercules almost freed Atlas, when he took over the task of holding the sky from Atlas
Heracles basically freed Atlas from prison and then tricked him into locking himself back into his cell.
@@KangarooMonkey
Atlas needs a rest.
And then along came *Perseus!*
In one of the versions he actually did for the Atlas because of how cruel the punishment was. I don’t think atlas was necessarily a bad guy he was just on the opposing side, and probably figured the Olympian’s were just as bad.

Athena is only slightly better then Hera, since she is responsible for Arachne and medusa.
@@FB-eg5vb Why quote Ovidius when the Greeks and Roman did not think of his narratives as actual mythology?
Doubt she'd be upset tbh, what with her being married and known for being very unimpressed with her admirers.
It is interesting to know not all 12 of the original titans were imprisoned with Cronus. It appears Oceanus, Tethys, Themis, Mnemosyne, Hyperion, perhaps Phoebe, and Rhea, naturally, remained free after the war.
Excellent presentation as always! Just small modified at the part where Zeus frees the Cyclopes and Hecatocheirs it was prophesized by Gaia (Earth) that with them Olympians will win the battle and so it happened while in Tartarus Zeus killed the guard Campe to free them and so Cyclopes gave them some guns as it says very well and Hecatocheirs helped them in battle!

Ohkay we need to take time in really appreciating the art ! Uff I loved the drawings and the art!
This is just way too interesting
Just so you know, Demeter has a gold sword. She is godess of agriculture and grains. The hundred hand ones built Kronos' palace on mount othyrs so they knew how to destroy it. What are all goddesses roles in this war? Just curious
Hestia, Demeter, and Hera are explicitly said to have fought alongside their brothers in the Titanomachy, though not much detail is given. The other goddesses (Athena, Artemis, etc) weren’t born yet.
On the other side, the female Titans fought against the Olympians, and lost alongside their brothers and husbands.
Hera is can be warrior herself , Demeter provided healing herbs for the injured Olympians for sustain in battle
Hestia providing warmth from the hearth because Titanomachy war goes through several winters.
@@alexanderwinn9407 Didn't they wait out the war with Tethys and Oceanus?
We are never told. Hesiod seems to suggest that they fought alongside their brothers, by mentioning both males and females when talking about the children of Kronos, though he doesn't show any of the females doing anything specifically. We also have accounts in which only Zeus and his brothers are said to fight.
As for the female titans, there is no evidence that they fought, and given that none of them are imprisoned in Tartaros or otherwise punished, it is reasonable to assume that they stayed neutral like Okeanos.
We also are told by Hesiod that Nike and Bia, the daughters of Styx, fought on the side of the Olympians together with their brothers.
The titans are truly unmatched. they soloed the gods. This got me thinking who the villain was. What if the titans were the True Gods

May the gods praise thee.
0:59 is that ereeeennnn!??!
Was the ten years straight and non-stop?
all i got out of this is that Zuse is a freaking cheater. he cant win by himself and kept freeing others to do the work for him.
And that's war for you
Soooo he was strategist in times of war, you know that's something good for a commander right?
Getting help is cheating?
It’s a war not a gladiator fight. The whole idea was the Olympians were the underdogs. If they were actually more powerful than their war with the Titans wouldn’t be as interesting. I’m more concerned about the fact people think Kronos was weaker because he lost to Zuse, But Zuse and The Olympians won because they were smarter not more powerful. Kronos was a evil tyrant that needed to be stopped, and they weren’t going to stop with brute strength or physical powers so they need it to use trickery and strategy.
@@SamuelGalvan_ if it was a gladiator fight or a tournament of power. But it was a war to stop an evil tyrant and their powers and physical abilities weren’t enough heck even when Hades took with weapons they were still disadvantage. So since it was a war to stop the Titans there aren’t any rules. Kronos dad was also more powerful then him and he castrated him when he had his Guard down to free his siblings so by that logic he would be a cheater to.
There is something I don't get if apparently "the Cyclops forged zeus lightning bolt" (And I have no idea how they forged lightning) after zeus freed them what did zeus use to free them I mean we saw zeus free them with lightning so how did he free them with lightning when the Cyclops haven't forged the lightning yet and given it to zeus
I presume he used regular weapons. No reason why he wouldn't.
He probably used regular weapons
I don’t think the master bolt is pure lightning

Titans are superior all by themselves the gods were so weak they had to cheat twice and use meta weapons just to get an edge and the titans created them too so honestly the gods would be actually nothing without them and they all related related if u know what I mean

Those hideous creatures that Cronos had already locked away once with out a fight... Seems odd that they could have such a huge effect on the outcome of the war...
What makes you think they went without a fight? And it’s never said Cronus personally locked them up alone, he was the king so he could have and probably did have others assisting him.
They were locked away in the Underworld by Uranus, Cronos' father, not Cronos himself
Who the fumk was holding the weight of celestial world before atlas then?

ok it's a bit strange ..id care how mighty does titans might be nothing is more powerful than god ...So why there appear s a fight !? It sounds fictive
