Simply my favourite plays of all time. I'm Canadian and as a kid hockey was pushed on us. It was watching Ed Reed and Ray Lewis that made me a football fan. Twenty years later I'm still a ravens fan.
as a Colts fan he had me on fumes more than once... the video illustrates well why. But as a football fan it was amazing to watch this guy playing, a premier or the premier defender in what is the best era of NFL for me, offense and defense was truly balanced and the number of greats and their level was as even as it could be.
Someone said on another ed reed video, that ed knows peyton's routine when throwing the ball so ed would practice 2-3 a week before playing the colts running backwards because he knew that would throw peyton's mental focus off and it did
Reed knew that he didn’t have the strongest offenses so when he had an interception he ran back to finish the plays. He was not the type to just fall on the ball and leave it up to the offense to convert
A Ravens fan that watched Ray and Ed probably lose 2-3 seasons for how much they played due to the bad offense. It was always a field goal fest. When there were interceptions, the Defense instantly went in rage mode to try and get that touchdown. The defense was the offense, sad to say. LOL.
It’s incredible to think that I got to watch an era where both Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu were in their primes and were rivals with one another… like DAMN
Naw, he is the best Safety of the 2000's, there is no other Dynamic Safety with game changing INT flip field position capability, plus he returned punts. Troy and Dawkins were not on Reed's level athletically.
I love how Ed thought he could return every int for a touchdown. Guy had like 1600 yards running back picks in his career. You can tell he loved to play the game. Might be players as good as Ed Reed, but no one is better than Ed Reed.
