Vick forced the developers to have to radically improve the game, so tournaments weren't always Falcons V Falcons, and so people on defense had options and viable ways to stop him. Huge leap forward, and all of that stuff (minus vision cone, which I loved at the time) is still in the series today. They got to solutions a lot faster than annual games usually do, because of 04 Vick, in particular and how much impact it had on tournaments.

Vick's arm strength was crazy. Where you'd see a lot of QB's do these huge windups to get the ball deep, Vick would pretty much just flick his wrist and that ball would go 50-60 yards in the air. He may not have had the best stats, but Vick was definitely one of the most entertaining players to watch ever.
