    From a die-hard Lions fan Megatron was not human. You couldn't stop him, even when in triple coverage he could still beat them by jumping over everyone or beating you with his speed. A physical specimen. The year we went 0-16 with 3, 4 different QB's put up 1331 and led the NFC with 13 TD's. Megatron you were a great and humble player. Legend.

      Cameron Belanger Ya you’re right about the 40. It’s less than 2/5 of a 100 meter dash. Usain is not nearly the fastest in the first 40 yards of his runs, many of those Olympic runners ahead of him are running 4.2 40s. But then he passes them all up and wins. There was one thing you didn’t consider tho cause NFL GMs do care about the first quarter of a 40 for oline and dline

      @Cameron Belanger This is such bullshit. No offence, but "Usain Bolt" does not have average acceleration among WR's. Among Olympic sprinters maybe, and that's the best 8 in the world. Calvin Johnson was fast. Extremely fast. A super freak of nature.. but there were quite a few people that were faster (and quicker). Look at him get chased down against Dallas in this video. Hell, Sam Shields was guarding him at one point and would straight up outrun him in a sprint.
      And Randy Moss would straight up blow right past him. The same Randy Moss that wasn't faster than people like Bob Hayes or Darrell Green.

      @@venomousviper3691 Rice was NOT better if you compare their primes. Rice would be 3rd in my view behind Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson. The reason Rice is considered the “greatest” is because he had the greatest CAREER. In my view that is very different from who was the BEST at his PEAK. Jerry Rice simply isn’t capable or even close to capable of doing what Calvin and Randy did on the field. Both of them were much faster, could jump higher, had equally good hands (better in Randy Moss’s case), had a much larger catch radius, and were simply better overall in contested situations. There are more WR who when comparing peaks are in the same tier as Rice, and you could argue reasonably for either side. Antonio Brown, Marvin Harrison, Julio Jones, Deandre Hopkins, Sterling Sharpe, with several more right around that tier. Those are just off the top of my head, and it has recency bias. There’s no need to worship Jerry Rice as untouchable. The thing he was truly untouchable at was career longevity while maintaining excellence. He definitely had the career with the most cumulative added value to offenses. That’s indisputable, but the best at their best/in their prime? He just lacks the absolute elite athleticism of freaks of nature in Moss and Calvin.

    • @GoZags43

    • @venomousviper3691
      @venomousviper3691 3 года назад

      @@GoZags43 just because you have freak athleticism doesn’t mean you’re the goat. Look at Jamarcus Russell. Rice didn’t have the size Calvin had or the speed Moss had, but he’s just better. (Even in his prime. Get to that later) Look at Tom Brady. He never had the strongest arm or the fastest legs, but he is the GOAT among QBs. Or Cooper Kupp, the man who dominated every stat category this year. What does he run, a 4.6? He’s not even 200 pounds. But he still is the best WR in the game rn. Same with Rice.
      Moss in his 6 year prime: 1395 yards, 12.8TDs per season, 15.8 average
      Calvin in his 6 year prime: 1424 yards 10.3TDs per season, 16.1 average
      Rice in his 11 year prime:1404 yards, 13.7TDs per season, 15.7 average

      Still does. He's never allowed playing for the Lions to get him down. Doesn't play like a loser, doesn't carry himself like a loser.

      @@JohnLennon-yg4ut 0 Run game, 0 O line, one amazing receiver half his career, no defense except for one year of his career (11-5 that year), 11 career games with an 100 yard rusher (10-1 in those games), fastest QB to reach 20K, 30K, 35K, and 40K yards. Has had a 5,000 yard season with 41 TDs and didn't even make the pro bowl. The most underrated quarterback of all time. You really think he's an average quarterback? Just watch football

    Him and Woodson, how many battles against each-other. Two Hall off Famers class 2021! What a great player, lost in Detroit, sad to see him retired early. Gave us quite some headackes as Packers fans.
