Having two guys like Ray Lewis and Ed Reed with their level of reading ability on the same team was devastating. It was a pleasure getting to watch these guys win one for my city 🙏
The crazy part of the Manning play was that it probably wouldn't have worked on anyone BUT Manning. Manning was a disciple of the film room and Ed said that for like 2-3 weeks, he did that same move to the middle because he knew he was playing Manning soon. Manning had that move almost ingrained in his mind so when Ed did the flip around, Peyton was completely caught off guard. Literal chess match going on for weeks just for this one interception.
I think its more reading the pump fake move of manning. He said Manning would throw in the direction he pumps, especially if he sees the safety go in the opposite direction. So when manning pumps that way, reed fakes that he is going in the opposite direction. He also makes it look as if his eyes are not on manning, but he still can see manning in his periphery. Then as SOON as he sees manning wind up he knows where he is going and turns around and books it to that spot. Either way its amazing next level athleticism smarts and talent. But I think he could actually see manning making the throw out of the corner of his eye
Thats what I was thinking. To be the best team to ever exist you would need to have that skill down pact but its such a dangerous move that NFL teams probably don't even allow their players to do it.

Justn Brnard
I always called him RRREEEEEEEEEEEDDD!!!!!!
Its Ed READ. Baby!
im 31 years old, i am very very lucky i grew up at the time i did, watching ravens and the legendary defence from start and untill their end. That team is the reason i am still watching today, even though the game has changed a lot.
E D Reed boi. Best safety you ever seen boi
I love Baldy Breakdowns he's one of the best to me.
God the NFL has gotten so much better at these videos. They used to be half interview, half coaching lesson, half highlight real. And all bullshit, now we can actually see the play. Good work team
You know you are good when you have Bill B extolling your abilities
During his HOF speech, he praised his dbs but damn, he fooled QBs dirty! Lol
That was really good!! I would love to see more of these, and I would like to see some Offensive Linemen plays too.
this was an amazing video. well done all around
My favorite safety of all time , I used to play with him on Madden
Best center fielder of all time
Ed Reed is an absolute legend!
Ed is a straight up G.O.A.T.
Great break down !
Reed, Suggs, and Ngata also need statues outside M&T bank stadium.

Nah Reed and Ogden
Chris Mccalister has a good run to
His* highlights can go on for hours. Brilliant!
Ed Reed is freaking insane
A true ball hawk. God he was fun to watch and I'm glad he was a Raven
So dope.... Also after watching all these break downs. I really like baldy

Agree, greatest FS to ever play the game!
Saw Ed Reed play when he was at the ''U''. Destined for greatness, and didn't disappoint, Hall of Fame'r ...Miss those Orange Bowl day's. Yeah it's a canes thing
this brings back so many memories of watching these games live and being so hype whenever there was an interception... too bad bmore sport suck nowadays rip the orioles’ actual good players and the old ravens Defense
Kyle Shannon it’s the Lamar jackson era. We have always had good defenses. It’s about time we got to enjoy some quality offense.
😢 I miss him so much
