    I have the Z790-E on order for my PC upgrade after 4 years. Am upgrading from a i9-9900K to i9-13900K so hope to see a big jump in performance. Was surprised to see Asus mobo prices almost doubling.. i used to use their Maximus (Code/Hero) series but they are way too ex now so i crossed over to the slightly cheaper Strix series. More worried of the 13900's heat issue than the mobo's performance sigh ...

    Hi Nick & Klaire, Thanks for the overview, super useful! Did you remove the VRM heatsink prior to filming the board walkaround? Beginning at 4:48 it really looks like there is a mounting screw missing just up at the 2 8 volt EPS connectors corner side. I was wondering whether that was you or if Asus QC missed something? Cheers!

    It's not expensive if you look at all the features, I always liked the solid foundation for computer in form of great board and in this generation finally top intel boards are not $1000 anymore and also amd boards in last 2 generations are becoming solid whereas previous were bunch of crap until late zen2... so things are looking good, I only hope intel stops with that continuous chipset and socket changes and sticks with one for 4 gens if they release new gen every 12 months...

    The fact that the AUS Dollar is called a Dollar doesn't imply parity. The AUS Dollar is worth half what a US Dollar is worth. It's a conversion, not a tax.

    • @GearSeekers
      @GearSeekers  Год назад +1

      You clearly don't understand Australian Taxation on imported products. I suggest converting then seeing how expensive it is before trying to sound smart. 499 USD to AUD is 749 AUD not 959 AUD.
