RIP to three of the four Monkees! Damn... upon Mike's death I looked deeper into the band and they really were CRIMINALLY underrated as artists. Great catalogue, great sense of humor, great presentation. Timeless, in a way.

Hey madam/sir, I'm Gen X (1973) and I vaguely remember seeing some of The Monkeys' shows on re-run channels, and I just loved them. I'm re-visiting some of their songs and remembering their own magic. They are/were really talented for their time, and I'm glad they are still people from your generation reveling in their music, still. Cheers :)
I’m right there with you Marina, I was born in ‘71 and I loved The Monkees through reruns of their TV show. This song always makes me feel good, brings me back to the late 70’s. Where has the time gone to…?
I agree with you. Not sure how gracefully I have aged. But times from my past are locked into some wonderful memories. It looks as though you embrace a culture as well. I do also. A much different one. But music has always been magical to me. Far back in my youth. I still have an extensive music collection. And every song brings me to a place or person. Many I've lost. Families mostly were bigger in my time. 8 in mine all gone but 1. Most were lost at young ages. But these songs refresh that time for me. It's magical as I said. ✌️☮️🌹🥲
@@michaellorenzen8200 You make a great point. I bet there is a bit more , and more ugly reasons also. The teens and 21-25`s now are into nothing but digitized rep/hip hop and have no attention span because of the tach. you speak of. They react to these old tunes(check out reaction vids) and take rock lyrics literally , not understanding analogies or poetic license. If they hear "my baby blue", they think it means "oh, he`s talking about his new child with blue eyes", not a reference to a girlfriend he is singing about. Not the best example, but ya get my meaning.
Oh, you mean you don’t like the wokeness, the gender confusion, the trans activism, Bidenomics, the Ukraine war, inflation, invasion on our southern border, fentanyl, Joe Biden, the corrupt Marxist Democrat party
Regardless of if the Monkees wrote their own tunes or not - or played their own instruments or not - this tune can automatically make one feel good. A classic for all time this song, not just a '60s classic. Thank you to all the Monkees.
Yeah it'd really sad how much they were limited and looking at the video now, it makes sense why so many notes and tunes are not accounted for. Regardless the band is a true classic!
I just saw Micky Dolenz in concert on 9/15/23. It was a blast from the past. And a reminder of how much fun the Monkees really were. There was a moving tribute to all the members of the band. Great concert. Micky still has it. :)
@@rosspbarnett458I know, I wonder what he thinks about being the last man standing. Sad the other three all died relatively young, especially Davy.Fantastic band, especially considering they were supposed to be a fake band..😢😢😢
I have heard that Mickey does that at all of the shows and even though there was some (a lot ) of tension , Mickey brought Mike out on some shows . Because they still loved each other ! That is class !
God, thank you for rectification and redemption and resurrection and just for loving us so much. I pray for your great love to be felt and lived everyday in Jesus name. Amen 🙏
Peter was the son of a professor and was very intelligent. A bit promiscuous then but I was 11 then and had no idea what those guys did. Just loved them and loved the show!
Absolute childhood legends. I was at a motorcycle rally here in the UK in the late nineties. The guy behind the bar put this on. Every single person was singing along at the tops of their voices in perfect chorus. RIP Mike, you defined childhood happiness with The Monkees.
@@Xane_Dragon Umm..ok? Like he literally just passed away a few days ago and I dont expect you to be crazy sad but you don't have to go and say that. Give a little respect ok?
It came out around Christmas time, didn't it? I remember when I first heard it was while we were driving around town Christmas shopping, and there were all the colored lights everywhere. It would come on the Radio maybe 2 or 3 times during the day. I'm 66 too. Used to collect Monkey Cards. You got 5 in a pack, and there was a piece of bubble gum, and a puzzle on the backs, so you could eventually put a big poster together, but I never got all the pieces to the puzzle no matter how many cards I bought. But every time I found a quarter I would run down to the drugstore and buy 5 packs of Monkey Cards. A whole different world, so different from now, it's like it was another world. We could have never imagined the world today. Sure glad I didn't grow up with todays music. It all sounds the same, and lacks musicality in some way. I feel bad for kids now.
RIP Michael, thank you for bringing joy into my childhood as I struggle with life's trials. You plus the other Monkees made me forget what was happening. You gave me peace and rest for a short while as I enjoyed the show on Saturday morning.
I'm sorry to hear you had an unhappy childhood. Absolutely no child should be put through anything but love. I'm glad the Monkees could free you if only for a while x
"Daydream Believer", a song about the loss of innocence and the anticipation of responsibility, is a timeless slice of pure pop by 'The Monkees', with a joyous swinging camaraderie to it, that's seldom been bettered since.
@@jocook17 Stewart reluctantly agreed to the word change as it was the only way the management company would use the song. Stewart has the writing credit and collected the writing royalties for the rest of his life.
Tom A, The Monkees songs are assured of a place in music history. In particular Daydream Believer, many bands who play local areas still do this song. Cos its a floor filler and a great song.
I agree. As long as those of us from this era are around it wont be gone. Tis song is often sung at parties, dances with people and kids of all age groups singing this.....this is one song that will cascade down a good few generations.
Caesars in Windsor ontario Canada, in the past, had The Monkees performing. I wished I could have taken my dad to see them....but its not the same without Davy Jones 😥💝💗💖❤

I watched the Monkees every week when they were on TV originally...I watched them endlessly on Saturday mornings in the 70's... I played their albums over and over...and over again. Their songs and images like this video are engrained in my brain and my soul. It just breaks my heart that Mickey is the only one left now. Rest in Peace guys. Critics and nay-sayers be damned over the years...I hope you guys all know how much you meant to us, your fans.
Yep. Me too. Met all except Mike. Loved all. Mickey was so fun. He even sang I'm a Believer to my niece when she was 7 dancing on a table at Harrah's Tahoe.
Agree totally. I just recall sitting in front of the TV and my Dad would sometimes sit down and even he laughed at their antics. Just a pure sound that brings out the best childhood memories.
Thats the TRUTH! TV was Soooo Great then! Monkees, Wild wild west! Rat Patrol! Clay Coles Discotheque! Chiller Theater! Lost In Space! Time Tunnel! Etc Etc! No Screens! Noo Buttons! Just Simple Enjoyments.. Was a GOOD time to be a kid.... God Bless.

Hi there, I like to sing Daydream Believer at Karaoki here at the Skegness resort in the UK but one day I would like to visit Japan and sing in Karaoki there for you. I'm a 69 yr old English man.
Found the info: "Daydream Believer is a song composed by American songwriter John Stewart shortly before he left The Kingston Trio. The single reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in December 1967, remaining there for four weeks, and peaked at No. 5 on the UK Singles Chart." (Wiki)
That's because writing music has become a lost art. Computer programs do the writing now based on an algorithm of what people supposedly want. This is why there has not been a popular song with a key change since 2002. They no longer know how to write a proper melody and don't understand how to use key changes and time changes to enhance and color the mood(s) of a song. That is what's missing from modern music. It reminds me of the Bowie / Ronson collaboration. Bowie wrote the songs on guitar and brought a very crude and basic structure to Ronson who then molded that song into the tunes we know and love. Ronson created the arrangements, key changes and time shifts. That was all 100% Ronson.
George Bernard Shaw once said "YOU DON'T STOP PLAYING BECAUSE YOU GROW OLD; YOU GROW OLD BECAUSE YOU STOP PLAYING " I always enjoyed listening to the MONKEYS they were a good group to listen to, saw them once in long beach cali and that was a lot of fun, they were so funny, they were one of the best. Check out Mickey making wacky faces at Davey Jones in the beginning of the song right after Davey stands up. I cannot help but laughing every time. Dolenz was and still is funny as hell!!
And this was the song that many other artists rejected. Even David Jones didn't want to sing it. But it became one of their 3 number one world wide hits. Go figure.
@@sidecarmisanthrope5927 I don`t think you were talking to me, but your comment came to my not. bell. I never knew anything about the backstory, if you will, on D.B., but it sounds like most Monkees tunes being brushed off with discain by the guys because they wanted to do their own material..sorry for misspell on disdain. Looking back with the mind of an adult and musician, the boys were really given a ticket to stardom and had a fuckton of good songs to work with. I still love some old Monkees tunes but they were just that; boys. Naive boys without a clue about the industry.
Love this song, love The Monkees. This jam never gets old no matter how many times I play it. Sure miss my childhood and watching these guys TV show. Thank you guys!
Today, I have tears in my eyes listening to this.... just as I did when Peter passed in 2019..... you’ll be missed, mike.... so so much along with Peter and Davy. Thank you for the music, memories and happiness 💕
The Monkees were a highly effective and successful group. They worked together seamlessly to create music and entertainment that captured the hearts of many fans. Their collective talents and personalities complemented each other, resulting in a synergy that allowed them to achieve great heights of fame and popularity. Whether on stage or in the studio, the Monkees exhibited a level of teamwork and collaboration that set them apart from other musical groups of their time. Overall, the Monkees were a prime example of what can be accomplished when a group of individuals come together to achieve a common goal.
Lovely comment ❤yes it's true these were 4 totally unique individuals, but together they created something that will last forever. There will never be another Monkees 😢🌌👼🕉️
Granted, when they first started out they were the "Pre Fab Four" just doing a TV show. But they were all individually talented guys in their own right. One came from British theater, another cane from New York's infamous folk scene, another was a child Movie Star and the last was writer who went on to create MTV. When they recorded Headquaters, tthey proved to the people who in the beginning would't let record their own stuff that they were the Real Deal.
I got into Mickey's music in 2016 as I was not really a Monkees fan until I heard Mickey's cover of "Oh Darling." My God, those pipes. I think these are the best vocalists in rock: Bowie; Daltrey; Mickey and Donovan and Julian. (Notice a pattern? Even their names rhyme!)
This was my Dad's favourite song and we listened to it together on many occasions. He passed away on the 21st of February 2019. This was played at his funeral as we carried him in and I still listen to it almost every day since. He was so happy for the career I was trying to get in to and it makes me try harder to show him I can do it and to make him proud. I love you Dad and thank you for your service.

A few months back, my aunt and I went to the Monkees Farewell Tour which featured Micky and Michael. It was a good show, and after today, I'm thankful we got to see the remaining two before it became the remaining one. Rest in peace, Michael Nesmith. You will be missed down here.
I'm jealous. I had to work the night they came to my town just a few weeks ago, I guess closer to the end of the tour, and I couldn't go. 😢 And now Micky is the only one left.

We used to rush home from primary school to watch these guys, because they were so cool at the time. They were a great band, and their music was ideal for television. ❤😊
63 now and The Monkeys was my first album. My girlfriends and I were banished to the backyard with the record player because we sang every song at the top of our lungs, over and over and over!!! Worth it!! 🥰🥰
I'm using a translator, so I'm sorry if I couldn't get it 🙏 I'm Japanese and I found this song in a commercial at a convenience store in Japan. Covers are used in Japanese commercials, but this song sung by Monkeys makes me feel very warm. Especially when I see Davie's happy face, I can be happy. I am grateful to the Monkeys for singing and playing this song. Thank you! This song is eternal.
Never heard this song before my auntie Jeans funeral, it was her song as her coffin was carried, and it was so beautiful. The lyric ''Cheer up sleepy Jean'' will always get me, that was the only lyric I comprehended at her funeral, and every time I listen to this song it reminds me of her. Its such a cheerful song, and she was such a wonderful, cheerful person. This is a beautiful piece of music for me to remember my auntie Jean, it suits her so well 💕💕
I had a sister Jeannie, and she loved "Daydream Believer", too. I think she really liked the fact that Davy Jones was the lead vocalist in it. She, too, was greatly loved and was a beautiful person. She passed away in early 2020, a few weeks after our mother.
I played this not long ago and the response from my mom was unexpected. She got a big smile on her face and said “Awww the Monkees! Reminds of when I was a little girl.” She’s pushing 70. So great to hear songs from your youth and it brings back good memories. It was from my mom’s childhood. It was from mine from the Monkee’s reruns. It’s famous again today. You can’t keep a great song down! Classic song. 🤙🏼
This song is one of few that makes me want to tear up. I’m a Beatles fan but this song is just as good as any. The melody is melancholic and cheerful at the same time. Chorus is hypnotizing that I wouldn’t have minded if it went on for another hour.
idk why ppl are saying marvel made it famous it was literally one of the biggest songs from the 60s ahahaha edit: it's been 2 years why do i still get notifications about this edit 2: 3 years and still going strong thank u for keeping the fire burning
I've heard it on the radio for years before Wandavision, so it was already ingrained in my mind but it's nice that recent generations are discovering and enjoying it.
Just hearing the Monkees brings me back to the 60s when I was a kid. It brings tears to my eyes because it was such a great childhood that I had and that the Monkees were a part of!
Sad day. I used to watch their show every Saturday morning when I was a young teenager. Oh, how I miss those days! We're losing so much REAL music talent...
My mother who was born in 1948 says this is her favourite ever song, we’ve all grown up with it. 55 years on and even my kids love it. Timeless classic that’s guaranteed to liven up your day 😃
Little did they even know that almost 60 years later that this music video would be on demand 24/7 all over this planet, what a life, I am so fortunate to have lived thru these times, good and bad but never boring
Thank you for being part of my world. As we slowly loose those we grew up hearing and enjoying, I’m so grateful for the joy and great memories they’ve all given to me. Thank you Mike, Peter, Davy, and Mickey for always bringing a smile to my face. Sending eternal love and thanks.
I was a kid in school when this was on TV. I could hardly wait to watch the Monkees. They had such high morals and their music was a lot of fun to listen to. I still enjoy their music even to this very day. 😊
Still missing my late mom who insisted in the 60s,when I was a child, that this song was about her. Her name was Jean. The day I found her, gone, I saw this on youtube and cried for all the years I thought we had left. And all the years that passed so quickly. I love you mum xo
Hugs to you Sweetheart. You’re not alone Honey. Death hurts, but in time the sting will lessen. Just keep ALL OF THE WONDERFUL &HAPPY MEMORIES of Her in your heart. Love to you doll 🥰💝🥰💝🥰💝
I was in 2nd grade when this song was released, the melody stayed with me for a whole summer. I was this lil black kid humming this song on the playground all summer, til my sister got tired of me screwing the lyrics up and bought me the 45 disc. R.I.P. Rita, and this will always be our song.
Not quite old enough to remember this tune but played endlessly by my brother and sister when I was a kid. It sends shivers down my spine whenever I listen to it as my brother and sister have both passed away now. A fitting tribute to both of them!! 😢
Two years ago my wife went into hospital for a major operation. I dropped her off there, made sure she was checked into her ward and left as she was taken down into theatre. I got in my car, turned on the radio and as I drove away from the hospital this song came on. I broke down in tears and had to pull the car over. You see, her late Mum was called Jean and as youngsters they used to sing this to her "Cheer up sleepy Jean". To me this meant her Mum was watching over her and the worry drained away from me and I just knew for certain that she was going to be ok. Sure enough after a nine hour operation she pulled through and is now fine. I have always loved this song but even more so now. Daily I give my thanks to the wonderful surgical team, her Mum Jean and Davy Jones.
Bill Haley This happened to a friends mom she turned on the radio and heard bob Marley say hush little sister don't shed a tear and that happened when she was cringing because her brother just died and it was a older brother, many weird things happened to my friend and his family after their uncles death.
I'd like to think that God and the entire divine realm had a hand in giving you the strength and healing you needed even through music but it's all the signs that seem to come to us just when we need them most...you are truly blessed.
RIP Peter. The Monkees were a big part of my life when I was a kid. So much so it is all still pretty clear in my mind some 40+ years later. Thanks for the fun times!

I'm in tears. Life was so beautiful then! And now, as I have gracefully aged, holding tight to my past, musically.

This song is 2 minutes and 46 seconds of pure joy. None of today's songs can match its melody, lyrics and hook.
Couldn’t agree more. ❤

Oh, I could hide 'neath the wings
Of the bluebird as she sings

But six rings and I rise
Wipe the sleep out of my eyes
My shavin' razor's cold and it stings
Cheer up, Sleepy Jean, oh, what can it mean
To a daydream believer and a homecoming queen?
You once thought of me
As a white knight on his steed
Now you know how happy I can be
Oh, and our good time starts and end
Without dollar one to spend
But how much, baby, do we really need?

*How wrong he was and didn't know it!*
__________
* 'The Monkees' will live-on long after all the original fans are gone, and that wouldn't be true unless there was real talent and chemistry involved between them, because although a camera may not 'tell the truth of things'...it doesn't 'lie' either*
*WE know the difference between 'fake' and 'real' and what we saw and heard from the 'American Fab Four' was real even if it was never intended to be*
__________
*I saw an interview with Nesmith here on 'Tube and he talked about Peter Tork and how Mike seemed to just 'always not quite right' and "Not the friend I should've been" with Peter in being 'not enemies but not close the way we should have been' and that when an assistant told him where he working said "I just heard that Peter has died" it felt "Like I was kicked in the guts and my heart stopped because I never got the the chance to tell him I loved him and didn't know it and now it's too late to even say goodbye to him*
( *Mike looked like he going to burst into tears right on camera and trying hard not to* )
__________
*I have a friend 'Leon' that I knew from Kindergarten all the way to 7th. grade and we were always 'pals' but what I didn't realize was how poor he was...I had no real concept of what it meant to not have any money in a pocket for a snack or matinee movies or a bag of candy*
*My family was not 'rich' at all but there was always money for me to have for lunch at school and for 'after' and I always got 'movie money' at least twice a month and Leon had none of that and the 'little house' he and his mom lived-in would be considered 'cheap' and 'poor' even in the late '50's thru the '60's in Dearborn, Mi.*
*How I wish I could see him now after more than fifty-years have passed, and tell him "I'm sorry for not being a better friend than I was but I just didn't know any better and now that I know it makes my heart hurt that I wasn't as good to you as you were to me and I'M SORRY*
( *We moved from Dearborn to Las Vegas in early '68 and I never even thought to say 'Goodbye' to him and get his address so I could write to him or maybe call sometimes* )
*WHAT AN A-HOLE I WAS TO HIM and I still don't understand 'Why?'*

But their downfall happened when they wantedto do it ALL THEIR OWN WAY, the downfall was very quick! cheers

Hey thank you a whole bunch! I am glad that people all over the world and across time can still enjoy this song!
Wandavision
Hello Japan!
Every time you enter 7/11.
What IS that song???
Hahaha...This brings back memories :)
yeah it's an awesome song isn't it?! Saludos de Perú Japanese friend :)
This is a beautiful piece of music for me to remember my auntie Jean, it suits her so well 💕💕
So glad it brings you great memories of a beloved aunt.
I had a sister Jeannie, and she loved "Daydream Believer", too. I think she really liked the fact that Davy Jones was the lead vocalist in it. She, too, was greatly loved and was a beautiful person. She passed away in early 2020, a few weeks after our mother.
Amen
This made me tear up a little 🥹 I love everything about this
I played this not long ago and the response from my mom was unexpected.
I will embrace 72 on 4/30 and I still love love this Davy Jones piece . . . I loved Davy.
I'm 68, never missed their show.
60's rule.
We can never go back, except in our memories....
@AnitaMariaWhite Felicidades por tus 72 aniversario🎂🍾🎉desde Mexico😮🥳
Nice story.
My favorite Monkees song.
This song is one of few that makes me want to tear up. I’m a Beatles fan but this song is just as good as any. The melody is melancholic and cheerful at the same time. Chorus is hypnotizing that I wouldn’t have minded if it went on for another hour.
yes!
This is exactly how I feel lol
The Monkeys were fun time guys that happened to make a living and have fun doing it, very rare in history.
Song is g** as all hell.
I feel exactly the same way. Right down to being a huge Bestles fan.
idk why ppl are saying marvel made it famous it was literally one of the biggest songs from the 60s ahahaha
edit: it's been 2 years why do i still get notifications about this
edit 2: 3 years and still going strong thank u for keeping the fire burning
I've heard it on the radio for years before Wandavision, so it was already ingrained in my mind but it's nice that recent generations are discovering and enjoying it.
This☝👏👏👏
marvel Made it famous again Once by its own But marvel gave it a lil push
I don't see anyone who claming that Marvel made this song popular.
I've known this song since I was very young, and I was born in 1984. Good music is always evergreen. I'm still happy to hear it in WandaVision though
Just hearing the Monkees brings me back to the 60s when I was a kid. It brings tears to my eyes because it was such a great childhood that I had and that the Monkees were a part of!
So true. A decade of turmoil for adults but oh what a great time to be a child!
woot
That country is no more. A great loss the world will regret.
And I thought Davy Jones was cute(as I'm sure hundreds of others did too)...how fast time goes by....
The 60s and 70s were the greatest.dont care what anyone says .would not change them times for anything
Sad day. I used to watch their show every Saturday morning when I was a young teenager. Oh, how I miss those days! We're losing so much REAL music talent...
I agree
I was just a little kid watching reruns in the 70's, but I fell in love with the show and have shed a tear today.
used to be on after school for me watched it everyday
It's not even their song...
Actually, they were everything but music talent, ironic isn’t it?
中学生の頃 再ブレイクて大好きになりました。モンキーズの音楽は青春そのもの
Usually when people sing they don't have an accent. Davey clearly does. I love it.
Absolutely so true. Love this song.
Me too every time I sing it i always put an emphasis on the BUT x
"But it rings"
That has always bothered me. Sing with your real accent.
You said it!
Amen
RIP Davy Jones. You were one of the giants of music of the 20th century!
A great song from my childhood that I never get tired of hearing. The Monkees really were underrated as artists.
Some people like this even more with the arrival of WandaVision
Thank you for being part of my world. As we slowly loose those we grew up hearing and enjoying, I’m so grateful for the joy and great memories they’ve all given to me. Thank you Mike, Peter, Davy, and Mickey for always bringing a smile to my face. Sending eternal love and thanks.
breaks my heart that mickey's all that's left
What a great lost we miss you and the memories still remains i love your songs
I was a kid in school when this was on TV. I could hardly wait to watch the Monkees. They had such high morals and their music was a lot of fun to listen to. I still enjoy their music even to this very day. 😊
Same here I was 9 and the 3 great TV shows were Scooby Doo, The Banana Splits and The Monkees.
Same here!
Oh yeah ! I was a member of The Banana Splits club ! Good times . You could get a 45 on the back of their cereal boxes , that was so damn cool .
Bro I have tears in my eyes right now not even joking 😢😢
Still missing my late mom who insisted in the 60s,when I was a child, that this song was about her. Her name was Jean. The day I found her, gone, I saw this on youtube and cried for all the years I thought we had left. And all the years that passed so quickly. I love you mum xo
That's because it was about her.
A big hug Jules!
I was literally going to post almost the same thing. My mother always said it was about her, LOL.
Hugs to you Sweetheart. You’re not alone Honey. Death hurts, but in time the sting will lessen. Just keep ALL OF THE WONDERFUL &HAPPY MEMORIES of Her in your heart. Love to you doll 🥰💝🥰💝🥰💝
Lol
I was in 2nd grade when this song was released, the melody stayed with me for a whole summer. I was this lil black kid humming this song on the playground all summer, til my sister got tired of me screwing the lyrics up and bought me the 45 disc. R.I.P. Rita, and this will always be our song.
Sing it loud, Rita is listening!! RIP Rita 🙏
Sis sounds like a heroine
Beautiful! Made me cry :)
Rest in peace Davy, Mike, and Peter. God bless you, Mickey! The Monkees live forever! 🎸🥁🎺🎹🎙🎵☮, ♓♒♑ And Jones!
Always !!!
Mickey Mouse?
I hope to see them in the afterlife its soooooo sad that as time moves into the future we loose some of the best artist of all time!
What a beautiful sweet song! Loved watching the Monkees on TV as a child ❤
Me too. Loved the show as a kid. Where did the time go?
Not quite old enough to remember this tune but played endlessly by my brother and sister when I was a kid. It sends shivers down my spine whenever I listen to it as my brother and sister have both passed away now. A fitting tribute to both of them!! 😢
Sincere condolences to you on the loss of your brother and sister. It is amazing to me how music attaches itself to human emotions.
They probably dance to this everyday in a better place. May they Rest In Peace.
@@mitchkronowit3633 Absolutely
@@thegteam4349 Music is indelibly wrapped up in the human psyche
A lovely song to remember your siblings, take care 🙂
I loved these guys growing up as a kid! There will never be another group like them for the rest of time.
I agree
And that little dance David does still gives me tears ❤❤❤
Except they were fraud miming to other signers.
Wow! What a masterpiece! Man that guy has an amazing voice, clean & power as can be.🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹🔥🌹
@@ronanhughes8506That is not true.
They did sing the songs. Mike was a song writer and had several hits for various people. Get your info correct.
Bill Haley precious story
Sweet. Thank you
Bill Haley This happened to a friends mom she turned on the radio and heard bob Marley say hush little sister don't shed a tear and that happened when she was cringing because her brother just died and it was a older brother, many weird things happened to my friend and his family after their uncles death.
Bill Haley wonderful love the song
I'd like to think that God and the entire divine realm had a hand in giving you the strength and healing you needed even through music but it's all the signs that seem to come to us just when we need them most...you are truly blessed.

RIP Peter. The Monkees were a big part of my life when I was a kid. So much so it is all still pretty clear in my mind some 40+ years later. Thanks for the fun times!
I loved The Monkees so so much, whole room plastered with their pictures! Saw in concert twice in Cincinnati! I have all their albums!
Mike once said this was his favorite of the tunes Davy sang and I agree. One of their best songs. Hard to believe Davys gone 3 years already. Love the Monkees!
Davy Jones could play the drums better than Mickey. He also played the piano, guitar, and saxophone!
And now Peter's gone too
This song never gets old!
It’s got it all
It's fab
No, but I did! Lol
@Tara Doring Thanks for the tip!
No it doesn’t.
A Surrey born & raised boy here, born to a Manchestrian mum. This was her dad’s favourite song. Listening to this on the night I actually move to Manchester. :))
Good luck with the removal!
