Piss poor take. Music videos and entertaining through video is a talent on its own. There's a reason why your grandma that's posts videos to her Facebook don't get the same amount of views as talented people. Plus there are more talented musicians now then back then. I was 14 in 1979 when I bought the 33 RPM from which this song is extracted, "The Age of Plastic". I had heard in a Hi-Fi shop in Rome, Italy, as a test record for a turntable and a couple of loudspeakers of recent production which were presented to the customers. Though I was 14 I had somewhat sensed that its lyrics would be going to be catchy and lasting because played in the key of nostalgia. And the years to come proved me right. In hindsight it was the song that shut the 1970s and introduced the 1980s.
Just came here from Wikipedia page about Zimmerman after watching Dunkirk and thinking to myself, what a wonderful sound this movie has, wonder if that has something to do with HZ.
I've always loved this song, but have really come to appreciate just how beautiful the dynamics and construction of it is over time. A true masterpiece from all involved.

Then the narrator says "ladies and gentlemen, let's rock and roll"
then they start playing this.
