  • Mark Gibbs fantastic top 10 runoff lap for the 1991 Tooheys 1000. Despite having the only customer Gibson Motorsport prepared Nissan Skyline GT-R R32, receiving it in time for round 9 of the Australian Touring Car Championship (ATCC), the Bob Forbes Racing team with Mark Gibbs and Rohan Onslow managed to take a dominant win at the Sandown 500 weeks earlier.
The team were still coming to terms with running the GT-R however, Mark did an awesome lap almost beating George Fury's 1984 Nissan Bluebird time, albeit now with the chase showing just how much faster the Group A cars had become.

Is this the car with variable torque split . In the UK we had rally cars that had that. Toyota GT4. Dave Llewellyn won using it in '89

I'm not sure what you mean by variable torque split but if you're meaning what I'm thinking, This car had a way to split the drive between any 2 of the 4 wheels so you could drive it at 100% FWD as far as I'm aware or 100% RWD, Or if you want, 80% RWD and 20% FWD

As well as any of the variables you'd want so 60% FWD and 40% RWD etc.
