I ran this one today for the second time. The conditions wouldn't be out of place in the Harrier League XC, lots of mud and water. You need to have a go at Flatts Lane, especially in winter conditions. Great Video
Thank you Ian! Well done for today 👏 it would definitely make a good cross country course! Flatts Lane is on the list as we’re trying to complete the north east and not many left to go now! Thanks for watching 😃
He certainly is haha! Thanks mate and thanks for watching 😃. We’re not doing the Angel race and judging by all I’ve heard about it, I’m pretty glad haha! 😂 good luck if you’re running!
Can definitely relate! For me it was the loooong, slow, steady uphill immediately after you have finished the short, sharp uphill. I could have coped with the short, sharp uphill if it wasn't followed by that gentler but seemingly never-ending challenge. All the volunteers were second-to-none when I went too :) Thanks for the great video!
I know exactly the part you mean 😅 torture! 😂. I’m team short, sharp hill too haha! Agreed Kendra, they were fabulous! You’re welcome and thanks so much for watching and the support ♥️😃
This was the last parkrun I did before lockdown kicked in. Was thinking of returning in the coming weeks but your video has reminded me to wait until the summer 😂. Well done
Such a tough Parkrun - and I did it in bone dry, perfect conditions. I just have a mental thing where running on grass is more energy-sapping.I need to go back and get it under 30 minutes. Toughest I ever did was Flatts Lane down the road there. Like climbing Everest.
Omg Cameron you’re not wrong, running on the grass is a killer! Well done on giving it a go though! Yet to do Flatts Lane, better save that for a fresh leg week 😂. Thanks for watching!
No problem thank you for watching! Strava has it at 328ft, so not too bad! Definitely tough on tired legs though! If you’re running there soon, enjoy it 😊

Run director is a character 😂. Another great video. Good practice for the angel of the north race if you're doing that tomorrow😮. Meant to be brutal 😭

Race Director is called Paul a legend
Haha yes! He was sooo good! 😊
I feel your pain! Well done both 👏👏👏
Haha thank you so much! And thank you for the support ♥️

Haha thank you Ian! I remember it being a brutal one! Good fun though even in the muddy sections! Thanks for watching 😃

Congratulations on top 20 finish.
Thank you Jayne! I think the fact I survived it was an achievement in itself 😂. Thanks for watching and for the support 😃
@keeponrunninguk there was some clearly dodgy bits.I was holding by breath in places (field looked slippery and boggy )
@@jaynecummins6243 it wasn’t the bog - it was the hills that got us 😂. The fab marshals made up for it though 😃🙌🏻
Well done! Lancaster is the hardest course I’ve done so far - it was also very boggy (I did it in December) and hilly too.
Thank you! And thanks for watching 😃 we’ll have to add Lancaster to our list (and run it on fresh legs 😅)
Thanks for posting ,what was the total elevation please if you have it?

Try to step up & do the Penshaw half - great video though
Thank you James! I won’t be doing the Penshaw half though - brutal! 😅
Can you wear spikes for this?
You could, but there’s a gravel bit that you run 4 times so that might be a bit tricky! 😊
