Great run! Used to go to Richmond to watch the road relays where athletes used to run 1 mile legs up and down some of those hills in town, absolutely brutal! I also used to train at the athletics track in Catterick, happy days.

Awesome job Chris. That's a shame that the camera died in that last stretch. I think I recall you filming this course last year -- some of the course seemed familiar. Looks like a super cool run though and that is amazing how much you took off your last year's time. All this training is certainly paying off. Fantastic job filming it and I look forward to seeing your next running adventure.

Excellent running Chris. Whenever I'm feeling down about my running, or getting too cocky thinking I'm Mo Farah for doing a sub 25 min 5k, I always think of you guys and it both inspires me and keeps my feet on the ground!

Well done Chris! I don't think I've ever run an organized 1 mile race before. It looked kind of windy too -- do you think that helped or hurt you? I know in one race -- many years ago -- I ran a 5:55 for mile 1 of a 5K -- I think that was the best mile I've ever done. I should do a mile time trial just to see what I could do. Cool run and nice narration as well!

Blimey thats quick, i just looked at strava to see my fastest mile was 6.10 and not from a standing start and i guess mostly down hill! Pretty sure couldn't get close to that now and would almost certainly injure myself if i tried!

I did run lots of this race, but the last one was in Dania Beach and was terrible, no 4:54 4:55 catch car, no medals , no organizers at the 4:58 race, what's happening? This race was the best one.

I have run Itchen Valley and Gordon is right, don't try and remember the route, but it is a great parkrun.

I was amazed at the sheer volume of people finishing at the same time. I am used to half marathon races of around 400 to 4500 competitors. This was like running in traffic. 😂 well done both on a great run.

Sad I missed the pre meet but didn't envy that rain one iota! Well done though guys another great video! now back to those trails!

Great times there, I commented on your video from last year I think it was saying I’d never do it again. Guess who was there this year in fancy dress running… This year was much better than last year though and I actually enjoyed it.

Running the GNR this year was great for the participants as the lightish rain made me feel like I could push the pace. You two look like you felt the same, but I was a bit torn with playing with the crowds and smashing out a super quick time. I crossed the line at a bit over 1:50 yet I gave a tonne high fives to kids standing out I the rain to cheer us on. For me the GNR is an absolute winner of an event the atmosphere is wild and it highlights to the world how friendly people in the north east can be. I might be back next year running for a charity again - yet that's just an excuse as I always (regardless of the aches and pains) have a fabulous time. Well done you two...
