My lawnmower was going so slow even at full speed and now I can't even use the fast mode because I'm running after it. Thanks so much for the quick fix!

Bought the HRX217 7 years and change ago.. it was slow from the beginning!! This past mowing season it got really slow and i thought it was a bad transmission. I just found your video and sure enough it was just slack in the cable. I can’t believe I’ve been mowing slow for 7 years! 😂. Thank you for the video!

I just got a HRX 537 (non US version of the 217) as a throw away. Other than needing a full service etc. the mower was good except it moved really slowly.
Using your instructions, I went from 4 clicks back to 1. Top speed is now pretty fast.
    Thank you.

Your advice & demo is spot on sir. Noticed my 2016 HRX217 with 173.5 hrs. on it was mowing slower than usual this season. So I tested my mower, it wouldn't engage on first click but did engage on second click & so on. I adjusted the cable nut like, you showed, about 2 to 3 revolutions (¼" or less) & it did the trick! Now it moves on 1st click & runs quite well (very fast) on full open clicks. Thank you!

I had the same problem with my Honda dealer. My mower had slowed down considerably over what it was when I first purchased it. No problem they said. What the heck?! I could’ve pushed that heavy deck faster than the transmission was going. What’s with Honda dealers?! Thanks for your video!

If you loosen the handle and put it towards the motor, it’s a lot easier to work on that adjustment

Do you ever get a rattling from the engine area after disengaging the blade it gets worse if you slow the throttle
