Worked very well thank you, only thing that I struggle with was once loop was connected to t😊transmission I had to keep tension on there end of cable while I locked in the sheath.
Thanks for the video! Mine broke at the bottom end! I was curious if I needed the additional part because many complained they needed an additional connector. Perhaps the newer HRX217s use this. Thanks again!
I have a Honda HRX 217HYA 200cc with hydrostatic transmission and the Control Cable 54530-VH7-000 that turns the blades on, snapped. How do I fix it on this newer model of mine?
I guess it is a similar process as the hydrostatic cable, just connect it on the blade clutch instead. Start by giving your mower a proper wash, and just look where the cable goes! Always take out the key when you work near the blade, so the engine won’t start if you rotate the engine!
My blades won’t engage and I notice when I press down on yellow button and push the handle forward, zero resistance. The cable feels very loose instead of being resistance. Can you adjust it or have to replace?
Best video I've seen on replacing that cable, Thanks!
@@stevenmyers3647 🙏 thanks!
Thanks for the clear and concise detail!
Thank you! I have to replace my cable as well and was worried that I would need to disassemble the whole lower assembly.
It is easy accessibility to the wire. Can be a bit tricky to connect the new on the hydrostatic unit, but I’m sure you make it!!😀

Thank you so much for this video, it was exactly what I needed to see!!
Thanks! Hope it helped you fix your Honda!
You saved me a tremendous about time of trial and error.
Thanks. Almost same machine as my HRX 476 c1 (2010).
Thank you!! This was very helpful!
@@SamuraiSamoht14 good to hear😀🥳
Mange tak for god video. Delen nede på selve klipperen er det samme på en Texas - og nu kører den igen 🎉😊

It is adjustable.
@@InTheVise I can’t find a video on how to do that, any tipsv
@@thewiseguy7100 look at the cable. One end to the other. You adjust it the same way I do in the video if you have the same mower.
