All that just to change a belt. Comparable to the back spark plug on an automobile. The one where you got to pull the engine. To just get too it. Got to love engineers.
I remember my Father bought a 22 inch Mc Lane reel mower from the Factory which was in His Work Beautiful Made Machine. With Old School Briggs and Stratton Engine 3 HP Self Propel it was a Heavy Machine And the Belt was hell of a lot easier To replace Because it was designed to be like that Self Propelled Because of the weight. Now they try to over engineer Something that can be Push without the Aide of a Mechanism
We had that Mower for over 25 years my mother gave it away. When she hired Gardner to do it And it ended up on another Small Engine Shop on You Tube I know because the People that got the Mower from my mother also went thru File Cabinet that I keep old Repair Manuel's and note s And Recits From Service center for Parts and service Plus the most important But if evidence A Vanilla Folder with notes I made complete. Drawing dates. Held together With Automatic Transmission seal
I’ve been watching your channel for about a year now. I went back on some of your old stuff. I’ve never seen you work on a snapper self-propelled lawnmower. Must be good lawnmowers if you never got to work on them, right
yah everytime I work on a honda . I keep on saying why did they over engineer this. ahh to drive up labor rates for fixing them and making them, great vid here
Toooom Doooobyyyy! Hey, Tom! You probably couldn't hear me yelling from where you are, but I was saying, TOM, USE A PHILLIPS HEAD for that spring, or a stout needle nose plier! Well, you got it on, so that's what counts. Thanks for another great video! Hope you have an awesome day! God bless.
@@TomDobyMowerRepair Thank You Sir and I always enjoy your videos no matter what you work on 👍 My dad worked on small engines i when was growing up, I know alittle bit about it
I wonder what ever happen to the Mower YOU ACTUAL push Somehow people have took something Simple And made Complicated FOR THE SIMPLE REASON THEY COULD Because people rather pay for Something That was designed to do. As Simple as PUSHING ITS same mentally As Riding Battery Operated Bike When you can Get a Regular Bike that cost less to repair well probably More Reliable And does requiring changing In Electrical System which costs you more . When my ordinary Bike has done since it's invention in 1635
So I get to the point where I need to take the clutch off and the bolt in the center turns like it’s cranking the engine the clutch itself is not turning, but the bolt is turning no matter which direction I go in, obviously left Lucy, but how do I do this when it’s trying to Crank the motor I can’t figure out how to stop it from turning
You are a better man than I Dobster. I probably would’ve broken 10 things by now. Wow
Honda definitely over engineers things. Good video and good patience on your part Tom.

Please change oil and air filter in your mowers
Next year they will be severely higher 😢😢😢
Yeah, I can’t get the pinned “arm” off. It doesn’t move, period
I don’t think I would take that job on.
Keep yelling you forgot to put the pin on the mulch selector
