I got my dream in my 70's. And I found out it was not anything like I imagined. It was awful. I was so angry. I blamed others. I was depressed. Finally I saw it was all me, not anyone else's issue. I had been unrealistic, not listened, etc. The first part of this interview was such a pleasure to hear since it is the first time I have heard someone describe the letdown of getting your dream, the letdown immediately after. Thank you so much for this frank talk.
Love the honesty. Not everyone would talk like this after so many copies sold. They would give the public a nice fairytale of happy ever after. Absolutely like it.
First time I have seen someone who said he Want Pain & Stress in Life. I also believe Pain is good for us. We can use Pain to Transform us but yeah it has power to destroy you as well depends how you take it. True Happiness is enjoying the present moment😍😝 & enjoying the journey 😝 not abt reaching the destination.
Mark, I think that is ALL OF US!! I write and say what I need in my music, articles, podcast, and youtube channel! "What i tell myself is who I am" I have been interviewing some of the greatest entrepreneurs on this PLANET! it's really driving me further!
@Lewis Howes, I gotta thank YOU for a lot of my victories! Some of these major influencers I'm interviewing on my RUclips channel are people I have met because of you and YOUR show!! and your inner circle!!! You made me more confident! If it wasn't for you supporting me via Twitter & IG, I would never have moved to LA and I would have never joined inner circle or summit of greatness! REMEMBER WHAT MAKES YOU GREAT!! (Your love for people!!!)
This two mens interview can be said the most lovely and interesting talk ever. I love it a lot. I have 2 books written by Mark, he shows /shares everything to the world not only the wisdom but also his embarrassing memories he had. I respect him very much
When I heard the intro about biting off more than one can chew, I had to mention that has been the symphony of my come-up. Being someone born with raging ADHD, depressions, and coming out of a hardcore drug addiction, this was how I kept working fresh and give me extra insight and adrenaline; never allowing any sort of excuse to define my ability to finish. Years later I needed to delegate and focus more, but some element of that philosophy has stayed with me from 0 to hero in my little bubble 😜
I am so inspired and appreciate everything shared here as I am writing my first book. On the topic of working like Will -- I have been an Executive Assistant for 30 years. I believe that there are certain people that are literally wired to perform 24/7. They are like machines and they thrive on it. Not all people are created this way. It is neither good or bad. If it isn't killing you - great! If it is unhealthy for you - not good. Lewis, I want to see you being interviewed! I want to hear your whole success story!
Lewis, this was absolutely amazing!! We are huge fans of Mark Manson...."What matters most is PEOPLE and having Human Connection." We couldn't agree more!! Keep up the incredible work at "The School Of Greatness Podcast!! Reach ONE, Teach ONE...you've reached me!! Positively Good Vibes as always ✌✌✌.
This was such an entertaining interview, so glad I found this channel! In the middle of listening to subtle art and it has been helping me reshape my mindset about life and and choosing my battles.
Lewis here are some ideas for your guest's list - I know most are kinda hard to get but you wouldn't be here if you only settled for the easy ones. -Art Williams -Jorgen Klopp ( Liverpool Coach ) -Eminem -Brian Tracy -Orren Woodward (MLM but a top leader)
@LewisHowes - this was such an awesome session. Literally, a note-taking podcast for sure! Loved @MarkManson book, can't wait for this latest release and especially his book with @WillSmith!
Love this podcast! This episode I wish you asked more questions about his journey/work/experience rather than fame and will Smith. his life perspective seemed interesting but all the talk about selling millions of copies and writing for Will Smith just felt unrelatable. Not hating at all; just an observation :)
I would start investing in different companies and give people dream jobs. I wouldn't sit on the coach. I have so much family to do things with and then my husband, get his business started. OMG that would just be the beginning.
Lewis, your swallowing is super distracting and loud. It also makes people with misophonia want to turn off the video. Lapel mics may not be the way to go.
success is waking up finding joy in what you do for a living while financially supporting you and your loved ones at the same time.

Success isn't what one may think. stay hungry to be inspired and create. Figuratively and literally
Agree!

Rachel Hollis 😬 tho they had no idea then.
Congrats Mark
Can he bring Will Smith to the podcast? :D I looooove him since he was Fresh Prince in the early 90's.
That's going to be the ultimate interview once that happens! Patiently waiting!
Love it!!!
I would start investing in different companies and give people dream jobs. I wouldn't sit on the coach. I have so much family to do things with and then my husband, get his business started. OMG that would just be the beginning.
Your Toronto date is sold out. How can i meet you? I'v read models and subtle art. It would be cool to you and get a signed book
I was wondering if he’d seen Richard Linklater’s films

Success is to master assholism
Czechoslovakia does not exist since 1993 🙄🙄🙄
I was going to suggest Mark to work on a time machine 😂
15:21 una forma de terapia que utiliza es escribir al respecto.
Great interview!! Mark looked quite jet-lagged. The 24-7 may not be his thing.
This podcast is more about will smith than MM

You still have the same problems after success... unless of course your problem was being broke!
I like to listen interview, but I hate to listen some interviewer tries to talk about himself!F
You will have another dream, I do not see the problem of accomplishing dreams. Lol
His gfs left him in his 20s. Not his 30s. Gets really dark later. Vision gone af.
One hour but got nothing from this.
Lewis, your swallowing is super distracting and loud. It also makes people with misophonia want to turn off the video. Lapel mics may not be the way to go.
Gulp
This podcast gave me so many brainals
I really enjoy Mark Manson’s contest but Lewis Holmes is the worst interviewer ever.
Sorry, can’t take the drinking/swallowing sounds 🤢
SAAAAME
From his childish talk I won't read his book for sure.
