there are so many of those online I received messages from numerous imposters pretending to be Brad Pitt on Twitter and Instagram and sometimes You Tube and Facebook too, even Linked In.
i’m 47 and i had my first two kids in the last 2.5 years and they are more amazing then i ever dreamed, i feel the older i am the more i appreciate about everything and everyone. i cherish that i’m alive and it’s not over yet.
I hear ya. Unfortunately, this is easier to pull off when you're the male. I am male too and 52 and if I had to do it all over again (one daughter, 21), I'd have done a much better job at this age than at 30. But at least I didn't have her when I was 18, 20.
Really! Wow, they called me an 'elderly primagravida' at 28 (in the 80's).... How did you manage to remain childless with fertility so keen to present itself?
I just love Matthew McConaughy and his brutal honesty 😅 nothing beats being real and true to ourselves and to others.. thank you Tom for this interview ❤
Stop Aiming and Shoot! That one hit me in the gut. I am high on both ends of the ADHD spectrum and I am king at planning but I can never follow through I just keep aiming on to the next venture. Then wonder why I never hit any of my targets.
I'm so happy Tom loved this and had him on the show! Love Mathew, love what he's doing inside his four walls at home. We need more of that. Heck, my parents divorced, and it affected my family for decades. It's not easy. In this world, we need family, family values, respect for our elders...just like what he's talking about. Our elders deserve a seat at the table, they are not to be shunned, and WE are not to be shunned for earning our wrinkles of wisdom. And we should take care of our older family members, not pawn them off to some facility so they can be taken care of by a bunch of strangers who don't really care for them and at worse abuse them.
It is great to see actors as leaders and show their true self outside of a script. The greatest role we'll ever have is the character we decide to be in our lives. 👏👏
Im like half way through, and I just have to say, this is such a treat for the ears and soul! Matthew is so Wise, and appreciate your experiences and what youve learned! You are a celebrity worth admiring and learning from!
LOVE LOVE LOVE dinner at the table with the family AND grandma. Love that Matthew can take care of his moma. That is my dream too. I'm not there yet, my mom is in her 70s, no retirement and I hope I can take care of her in a way that is still joyful and free. I just need to figure out a creative way to meet these challenges.
Matthew is a pretty cool dude. I listened to his book and loved it! In Maslow ‘s hierarchy of needs he is at the top of the triangle. Self actualization is where he is right now and we all benefit because of his wisdom and that he enjoys teaching and sharing.
Tom, to your question of why it's so hard for people to say no, I think that inability is largely influenced by childhood. Saying no means I have a voice and if my voice was shut down during childhood, the thought of saying no becomes a trigger of inferiority, of shame. Our unhealed inner child thinks, "I am going to get in trouble-- scolded, for example-- if i speak up so I rather not speak up to avoid reprimand". It's like the elephant that was tied to a rope and after some time the rope was removed, and as big as the elephant was it would only walk up to the distant that rope would allow it. So ultimately the unprocessed trauma of rejection prevents many many many people from giving straight answers. And many people don't know what they want because they weren't brought up that way, to think for themselves and/or think critically. Both in the home and at school they were treated like cattle, hearded mindlessly to wherever the "leader" wanted.
This is such a beautiful discussion. After listening to Red Lights and participating in The Art of Livin, I just can’t seem to get enough of Matthew McCoughneheys wisdom. This is so nice to hear even more versions and examples of “the Art Of Livin” thank you for being a teacher and serving people who want to learn to be our best selves in this life. 🙏🏻
I love this man. He is a male version of me, but he's worked out how to make peace with his flaws. What an education. I will honour this podcast by striving to be so self-accepting ❤
Have you ever seen the air pick up dust and spin it in a tiny whirlwind at your feet? The twirling particles reveal the current. Without this demonstration, the wind might remain invisible and whir by unnoticed. Your habits demonstrate self-respect in the same way. Your inner regard is made manifest through your actions. The next time you sense a breeze upon your face, let it remind you of the power within. Remember each time you follow through on a habit, you’ve just given form to the current of self-respect that stirs inside.
It’s about the journey not the final achievement. Although the achievements can be very rewarding. The journey doesn’t stop. Live within your values and that’s the ultimate joy and fulfillment

It would be great to have Matthew and Russel Brand on your Podcast, together. I feel like they are both creating movements rooted in purpose, truth, self-development, integrity, etc. Thank you Tom.
So to any of us, whatever it is we look up to, whatever it is we look forward to and whoever it is we're chasing, to that I say alright, alright, alright. And just keep living! Thank you.
Agreed, but only to a degree. If you have more than enough money, clearly a certain amount of stress and frustration is eliminated. Period. That's where I agree. However, I disagree when it comes to our individual, personal mindset. Money is very limited when it comes to the way we think. Sure, when a person wins the lottery, they're happy they won!! No doubt. But they choose to turn their back on the financial advice the professional accountants and lawyers have offered. The winner spends crazily because they have no concept of the bottom, when the $$$ runs out...basically, I'm trying to say that their mind can create misery, or happiness. We can choose no matter how much money we have, or not. We choose to seek help with our minds, or not. If we turn our backs on the positive, we're left with the negative, no matter how much money we have. Over time, the excitement of the WIN will wear off. Then we'll only be left with your minds. F the money. It is not an overall "happiness" fix. However, I sincerely hope money drops into your lap, so you can learn first hand. Seriously. Plus, if I am wrong, and the money helps you be a happier person, that in and of itself is a win. Your happiness makes this world a better place!! 💰💵💰💪🏼🧠💖💯 💰😇🙏🏼🕊️💖💯♾️
...I used an example of a lottery winner, but what of the savvy entrepreneur? That real money maker. What of him/her? Perhaps they work so hard at their ever evolving goals, that they lose sight of their loved ones. Now they're left with only work and money. Poor lonely soul. But they can 'buy' friends and 'loved ones,' right? Riiiiiight. Only they are not the real deal, are they? What's really sad, are the billionaires who can't trust ANYONE. Ask them how money has helped with their happiness (philanthropy, I hope). Moral...be happy. Laugh. Love. Feel joy at simply looking at a rose that has lost its petals in the Autumn chill, only to discover that a brownish green 'star' was left behind the top of the stem. That's where happiness really lives, my friend. 🌱🌹🥀🙏🏼🕊️☮️💖🌞♾️💯

It is so interesting, when I started watching Tom's podcasts,I was all the time annoyed by how he actually makes the interiews (Sorry, Tom!), interuption, personal stories, more then needed...etc, but now I grew to just love Tom, I can very much relate, and also respect him for trying to get better, and learn and understand so many things! In my 49 years I feel like the journey IS the goal . I know a lot of wealthy people who are constantly chasing something they are never going to find . There are people in mansions right now bored out of their minds who have fake friends and hire prostitutes . Money should never be the goal . Take care of your body and eliminate the things that cause you stress . Humans are inherently flawed . Getting the money , the house , the nice cars ,and the 2 kids is a very small part of the big picture. The faster people understand this the more beautiful life is .
God..... what a thoroughly beautiful man. Most men that handsome are full of it. He's a very deep thinker and a believer. I can't imagine how he could improve himself very much more.
I believe that when it comes to our fear of failure it isn't because we're too attached to the achievement itself but because we're too attached to the idea that our value, our right to exist and to be loved, is attached to the belief of conditional love. In other words, we don't want to fail because we believe that people won't see just a person who tried and failed but that that person is a failure itself, just not good enough. So why would anyone respect and love someone that can't achieve things in a world that values lives based on comparisons and achievements? It's important to shift that in our psyche and our society. It's important that we treat ourselves and others as valuable people independent of what they do and what they have. And I think that being a religious person can help in that because once you're a Christian, for example, you know that you should love others as He loved us. That others are just as valuable to the Father as we are.
I don’t get why so much big people are hoping and putting their life on God like- methods but can’t see that it is actually GOD! And give him the credit… ?? GOD IS ALIVE and has given us the happiness we deserve living by him.

The Success Trap challenges offering a fresh perspective on what truly matters in life. This thought-provoking explores the dangers of equating success with happiness and encourages readers to embrace a more authentic and fulfilling approach to life.
The clip about Jung/Peterson and Christ is about chasing Christ as the ideal. The piece they are missing is what happens when Christ penetrates the heart through the Holy Spirit, it fills that God sized hole. We begin to feel peace and joy. It transforms us from the inside, heals the soul, changes our desires, our wants, thoughts and motivations. The things we used to love lose their meaning. What we considered small things now have much more meaning.
I appreciate his opinion. What I don't appreciate is his humanitarian lack of our reality. Matthew doesn't relate to a person that lives on 1200 per month.

I would love to write a book about my wee trauma packed life and my nurse career success.(in short) Also fancy co-creating a script to have a film made about the bullying, gaslighting and stonewalling systemic in our NHS nursing profession. Thankyou for your continued inspiration. Too many stories to tell, need to share. 💜
Well said! Love to work on that script with you! I was in pharma sales for 12 yrs It was like people telling me I don't know anything.....I was banned on Twitter for over a year just trying to help others improve health for Covid.
You should. People need to understand better how bad it can be and change is only possible when a spotlight is on something. Enough stories and it becomes uncomfortable for the bad behviour to continue.

😂😂 Deep!! Full of platitudes!! Did he tell you really anything you SHOULD KNOW by age 18-25...?? That we all are so self serving, we all know that, that we should strive for better by doing this or that... we all know that... I am trying to see three small NEW things he said...?? Be nice and self serving at teh same time, build good will etc etc... it is all platitudes, but I guess if a famous actor says it or a priest or "god" then people finally listen... can people not do all that which THEY ALREADY KNOWWWW without these "pedestalized" people saying it...??

Btw your click funnels and UI/UX is beyond any reproach. Amazing. I wish you could be my life coach. Because, although educated and masterful. I am failing and completely lost at 37. Thank you for your good work.

Icarus was warned to fly the middle area. If he flew too high the wax would melt from the heat of the sun. If he flew too low he would gather too much moisture and would become too heavy to fly. We always forget about the second part.
I still strive for the higher level of my life but remind myself that I have a wonderful life right now. I get to invest most of my time and energy into my family. Don't have a lambo yet but probably already happier than most that do. wife thinks I'm the best husband in the world and my kids think I'm the best, so I guess I achieved success after all.

In reguards to the icarus story, I think it's safe to say that the story still makes sense as humans tend to walk, but we rarely try to fly. But the moral is that flying is great but we shouldn't pretend we have the wings created by god or deserve to get too close to the gods. The gods made our mind which is a powerful tool, enough to create wings and we should do as humans do but the wisdom is to not try to be anything more than a human.
I know keeping it engaging is important, but having two faces side by side even if it doesn’t look the best, I feel like is more personal and conversational when it’s done virtual. What does everyone else think?
I feel very sorry for you Matthew McConaughey that you don't know there is life after this one..I can tell you with no doubts..yes there is life after this one..and it depends on your free will snd which path your on..Narrow or Wide ..and your relationship with Jesus ???..and Only He knows that

Thank you so much Tom for sharing this conversation 🙏❤️
❤️
I don’t get why so much big people are hoping and putting their life on God like- methods but can’t see that it is actually GOD! And give him the credit… ?? GOD IS ALIVE and has given us the happiness we deserve living by him.
I am now on the royal road of success, happiness and abundance, all the traffic goes my way.
Great talk! Love you both! Matthew can’t wait to listen you with a new occasion. Tom, always bringing value. Thanks Bro!
Good for you Matthew! You are a good, grounded Dad!
What a great guest! So happy to see him on your channel.
Yeah, Matthew's book is unbelievable lol Was anybody else waiting for a smart reply from MC?
This was an amazing interview!
I would love to see an interview with Jim Caviezel as well!
Thank you Tom!
It's been quite a roller coaster ride, but I've grown and learned a lot about myself. The best thing is being able to interact and touch with the fans Human lives... I'm grateful for that. In return i grant you the privilege to view this channel biography and to follow the instructions for further communication with me. I wish you a nice day🌺

I've watched a lot of your videos and I've been following you for a long time. Your videos are great
Wow this is the deepest I've every heard Tom discuss religion!

Looking forward to your one day event tomorrow!!!
McConaughey is a fascinating guy - a modern day philosopher
Comparison is the thief of joy. I remember in the 90s that saying wouldn’t mean much at all. What a different world we live in
What a knowledgeable conversation. Thank You very much Matthew and Tom
The Success Trap challenges offering a fresh perspective on what truly matters in life. This thought-provoking explores the dangers of equating success with happiness and encourages readers to embrace a more authentic and fulfilling approach to life.
Social media/internet/porn is so easy to get into but the psychological impacts is huge.
That ability of Matthew McConaughey to get you to the present 😅 43:12
The clip about Jung/Peterson and Christ is about chasing Christ as the ideal. The piece they are missing is what happens when Christ penetrates the heart through the Holy Spirit, it fills that God sized hole. We begin to feel peace and joy. It transforms us from the inside, heals the soul, changes our desires, our wants, thoughts and motivations. The things we used to love lose their meaning. What we considered small things now have much more meaning.
It's very easy to speak of beauty from the ivory towers, it's very easy to find solutions to problems you've never had.
I appreciate his opinion. What I don't appreciate is his humanitarian lack of our reality. Matthew doesn't relate to a person that lives on 1200 per month.
Tonight Robbins is a scam specialist. He takes advantage of people who are financially suffering. Why the FBI hasn't put him in prison, is beyond me.
Matthew, love your enthusiasm. Hate the people around you that are trying to gain financial thru you.
# SELF -REALIZATION . Thank you Matthew ❤️
Matthew just look like healthier than 20 years ago... Clearly his life style it's quality reacher. P.S. Love EdTV film . Classic! ❤️
Great show. Great host and guest and topics. Thank you.😊👏👏

He’s one of the very few celebrities who aren’t a piece of shit. You can tell this guy has done self work everyday of his life no matter how successful he is.
I would love to write a book about my wee trauma packed life and my nurse career success.(in short)
Also fancy co-creating a script to have a film made about the bullying, gaslighting and stonewalling systemic in our NHS nursing profession.
Thankyou for your continued inspiration.
Too many stories to tell, need to share.
💜
I work for the NHS, and trust me, it's not just nurses who are dealing with bullying/gaslighting etc. It's all of us...
Enough stories and it becomes uncomfortable for the bad behviour to continue.

thanks tom. Mathew's such a character! loved the talk 😍🥰
Thank you. 🙌 So much to digest after watching this deep conversation.
😂😂
Deep!!

I love this.
However....what about the folks without family, support or money.
What risks can we take, when we are one paycheck away from being homeless???
Btw your click funnels and UI/UX is beyond any reproach. Amazing. I wish you could be my life coach. Because, although educated and masterful. I am failing and completely lost at 37.
Thank you for your good work.
Tom is great!

“I’m a big goal chaser, headline writer, I need accomplishments, I need achievements to feel significant; I feel less significant when I don’t have it”
Icarus was warned to fly the middle area. If he flew too high the wax would melt from the heat of the sun. If he flew too low he would gather too much moisture and would become too heavy to fly. We always forget about the second part.
Awesome. He's looking healthy and young and wise!!!!
He is looking better! He was looking unhealthy for a while after filming texas Dallas buyers club.
Idealism another side not to get discouraged! One street differ from another
52:04 totally agree , not everuthing is valid
The interview of the year!!
You are spot on Matthew!!
Two of my favorite thinkers!!
Thanks guys! 🙏
Thank you Tom. Love you guys♥
Whoa he got Matthew on the show!!!
Alright Alright Alright! 😂
He is mentally lost. He needs professional help. I hope he gets it.
Phenomenal interview ❤❤❤ Thank you Tom & Matthew ❤🙌 Grateful 🙏

Ooh. Love the waxed wings analogy.
I loved this interview, I really like Matthew!
I think it's best to just have the face of the guest - when that guest is MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY!
This has to be said after listening, I’m sorry to be the one - alrigh alrigh alrigh!
I feel very sorry for you Matthew McConaughey that you don't know there is life after this one..I can tell you with no doubts..yes there is life after this one..and it depends on your free will snd which path your on..Narrow or Wide ..and your relationship with Jesus ???..and Only He knows that
The fact you said with no doubts makes me take everything else you said and disregard it.
Great leader and thinker!
So great! Thank you both! And Tom, yes you rock !

Excellent talk from two legends!
What a huge fallacy to a huge work up. Flat that Matthew is enlightened. Sad that it's so political. Don't relate by money. Tony Robbins, no, no, no.
Awesome chat with Tom
Love this interview
