Agree to that! Seems a cool guy. Some others in Hollywood who I also thought were, seemed to have drank the coolaid..but him and mark Wahlberg seem like real/good dudes

He's old school he remembers the old ways, that is he knows it's just a job that he's talented in and luckily his rewards are money and fame, but his upbringing has taught him that we are all equal and that's a special quality to have. Love and respect brother 🙏 ❤. 😇
This guy is a deep, highly intelligent individual. I could listen to him speak for hours on end. The more I listen, the more I realise how much I still need to know and grow. How refreshing! Thx Lewis for another amazing interview.
I feel Matthew McCoaughey is really striving for happiness, peace and contentment in his life. There is nothing wrong in being ambitious. One of my big moto is "DON'T OVER ANALYSE SITUATIONS, GOOD OR BAD". MEDITATION HELPS A LOT WITH THIS. Do every thing that makes you happy and brings satisfaction in life and don't think you need to do them in order to be happy or be significant. They are just choices ! Own your self fully and appreciate your self for having great intentions and forgive your self when you make a mistake and forgive others but don't let them mis-treat you again.
Quite honestly learning to forgive myself was the one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my life you talk about looking in the mirror you talk about dirt and trash you talked about honesty and had today raw in order for me to ever have any happiness in my life and that was to be happy with me that through God's help and Marcy he brought me through and hopefully it's 75 I have gained a little wisdom do all the things in my journey that I have been through in my life I feel like that we have to go through all the things that we do in order to be where we are today and those are my thoughts on it.
One of my favorite quips is......“If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with.” MJ
Wow! I'm at (another) career crossroads...have had illustrious careers from which I've retired. Today, I almost took a step BACK to being a unit secretary at a hospital. I heard an inner voice say, "You're not a firefighter / paramedic / 911 dispatcher / RN anymore. Why are you looking back? I've been writing - I want to publish digitally and print, some things. I have everything I need, but I haven't let go of my 'brand' by which I used to feel professionally empowered. Nice to know Mr. M, waited for the best yet to come, held out and thought about other careers. I'm not alone, I'm enlightened. Thanks, all.
Man he is gorgeous and I don't mean just physically his personality is what makes him stand out ,idc if and when he turns 80 ,he will still be gorgeous😍!!
We're connected via social networks, but the most disconnected society in history. We likely spend more time posting comments, like this, to total strangers than we do cultivating relationships with people next to us. Often see people eating lunch together that spend more time on their phones than talking and interacting with one another.
I enjoyed this interview with Matthew! I felt a loss of drive after turning 50, now I focus on who I am becoming as I reach for my dreams. Chasing a goal feels so empty without the intention of how can I serve and leave something behind for others follow! ❤
Ooof... I lost my dad around the same time Matthew lost his dad... but I was 8 yrs old! It’s amazing how we changed and grow up so quick when we lose a parent. I grew up very fast from that time and then my mum passed away when I was 22, 5 wks after I became a mother. I fully understand what the progression of ‘’having to grow up’’ and self introspections feels like to the very core. That particular part really hit home. This was such an amazing interview, Lewis! Thank you for bringing Matthew on your show. Much appreciated! 🙏🏽
There are no better podcasts than the ones Matthew is in. Profound profound wisdom. Just when I think I've heard all he has to say and offer, he surprises with something yet even more novel. Great listen!!!
Just half way through this interview, and I will definitely say that I fully appreciate the complete and honest man that Matthew is revealing himself to be. I thank God and everyone that had a part in sharing this.
Came from the Gary V interview and this is unbelievable - you actually let him speak instead of constantly cutting him off, driving the conversation towards things completely unrelated to his ideas and rambling about sports. Truly remarkable
They’re completely different interviewers. With completely different agendas. Gary’s an entrepreneur that wants to know specifics on his business ventures. Be more grateful that he was on both, rather than degrading Gary V.
I have listen to Matthew when we found out my mother died of cancer in 2014. i turn to his motivational speeches at least once a week. My dream is to shake the mans hand before i die an say thank you! Thank you, for your words Matthew!
Humans project their past onto their future, then go about creating it. Something as simple as becoming aware of that can break that loop and open up this beautiful void/blank canvas in front of you to build a future however you choose. Thank you for sharing this man. Love a bit of Southern wisdom.
Wow, an interview that completely caught me off guard. Always thought of Hollywood as a refuge for shallow narcissists. McConaughey proves that theory wrong. Lewis asked insightful questions & Matthew responded with insight & wisdom. Great stuff.
I have a hard time looking past my skepticism of nything or anyone that comes out of Hollywood. With that said he really did come off with some good old down to earth integrity. Hard to believe, but it was convincing.
@@bobbiellison4315 definitely share your skepticism. He seems to be an exception to the rule in Hollywood. Of course I don't know him so that's just a hunch. At least we can say he doesn't spout a bunch of left-wing nonsense that's the norm in Hollywood. That's an accomplishment in itself.
The piece on Matthew turning down those parts resonate with me ant lets me know I am on the right path. We must stick to our convictions. His story about his Dad is aligns with mine also. Twenties are a vulnerable age to lose a parent. It's impactful!
Lewis has a superb ability to ask certain questions at times that prompt profound and inspiring responses. I see this over and over again in his interviews. A fine example of this is when Lewis reminds Matthew of a belief he once shared at an award ceremony, about making your hero, your ’10 years from now’ self…Lewis asked Matthew what would his ’10 years from now’ hero/self say to him now…Matthew made an inspiring discovery from that interview and what an engaging scene that was. Respect and gratitude to Matthew McConaughey for being open and full of wisdom and to Lewis for his inquisitive, humbled and intuitive approach to his work. Always a pleasure.
This is among one of the most thoughtful conversations/ interview I a have listened to. Great questions coming from Lewis and wonderful answers coming from Matthew.
📝 MY FULL UNEDITED NOTES! (in one sitting, finished at 4:12 am, after 2 hours!) 1. You should be so fully involved what you're doing and the process that you don't even think about the finish line. Stay in the zone, in the process, and more results will come your way. 2. When you have a moment, in all your chaotic and unclear life, where you can definitively place and/or identify a post that you're not willing to move, that is not negotiable, you gain clarity and identity. That really helped with his sanity, to have something so clear that it's black and white. 3. Often we call compromise the shade of grey, when actually the right kind of compromise is the great light and truth. This makes great sense to a religious individual, who would rather compromise their life to the principles of God (or just your personal principles) than those of loosely defined cultural lines. 4. As humans we need something to grasp a hold of, and it can be either very good or bad for us. This can be seen in the extreme political divides in the country, people running to that for identity and clarity. 5. Values of family: loyalty, accountability, responsibility, the responsibility of freedom, the freedom of responsibility, fairness... those are things Matthew was raised on. Those values will never go out of style, and we could all double-down on them personally and as a society now. 6. Looking at yourself in the mirror, asking if you like what you see, asking yourself meaningful questions about yourself. 7. Have a good threshold for when you're not feeling fully yourself so you can go and remedy that. Find what it is for you that will help you align yourself with your identity and values. This could be taking a walkabout with yourself, meditating, praying, sitting still for a while, going back to what you can rely on. It's good to have a good acuity for this and to have a quick trigger, that will help you keep the misalignments minor and not turning into train-wrecks 8. "When we're really rocking, we have an Autobahn between our head and our heart and our spirit." 9. Having to calibrate and recalibrate many times is natural. Check back in with yourself and let memory catch up and have a Socratic dialogue with yourself, and end up forgiving stuff, and then saying "Enough's enough this other stuff. You're the only person I'm stuck with, [surname], so we better figure out how to get along." 10. What is hardest for you to forgive yourself for? And others, too, perhaps? 11. What we mean to say and what's actually being perceived, there can be a gap between that. There are times when intent can be misconstrued. Being aware of that is important, and ignoring and not accepting it isn't going to help you in life. Make amends on these miscommunications. 12. It might be difficult to communicate something that is going to hurt another's feelings, but doing the hard thing yourself of doing your best despite the unpleasant news or circumstance gains you respect. Also, people are grown-ups and they will or should be able to understand at some level that a rejection is a possibility. Handling no's personally by making a call or doing it in person has been an additive in compounding assets in Matthew's life and future. 13. Doing the hard thing that one time gives you more confidence in your ability to handle the hard things every other time they'll come. You won't feel like you have to pass everything off to someone else, etc. 14. Do not create false drama when it's not needed. The real drama is going to come, so don't look for the false drama when it's not there! But people have a habit of this. 15. Try to be graceful in your actions, so that you don't cause unnecessary environmental or personal chaos and upset and problems. This is important. 16. Appreciate the intentions behind your actions that have caused you problems. Don't be too hard on yourself - if you had good intentions, acknowledge and shake hands with that fact. 17. When you can, ask yourself if you want to before you do. In times of great influence or affluence you have a lot of options in front of you, and too many options can make a tyrant out of anybody. Try to detect whether you want to do something merely in your head or your spirit also. Is it really you? Does it work with your values? Is it good for you, does it turn you on and feed your self? 18. Sometimes, the answers don't come quickly. And when they don't and you're not enjoying your own company, it's all confusing, and you want to go and turn to entertainment or some distraction or something that masks that, you have to try to hold back. "No, I'm gonna sit in this discomfort. This is a prudent penance I am taking to get to know myself and listen to myself." 19. Why do so many people avoid discomfort? We all prefer pleasure over pain, but there is a greater pleasure that can come with going through a pain. When you choose to go through the resistance at the right times you have greater, more involved pleasure on the other side of it. Responsibility and freedom, that relationship is really at the core of a lot of this. 20. "Responsibility and freedom, that relationship is really at the core of a lot of this. There's responsibility through freedom and freedom in the responsibility. And the responsibility is the hard work. You know? The freedom's the Saturday. The freedom's what we want. The responsibility is what we need. Where you go through what you need, when what we want actually is what we need and what we need is actually what we want, that's the honey hole where, hey, I look as good as I feel and I feel as good as I look. ♪ Ta-da! ♪ Where we're selfish and selfless at the same time. I know what I'm chasing." 21. 18:51 for talk about millennials and Matt's advice relating to them 22. Think about the likes, comments, things you send to the internet! That is going to outlive you! It's permanent, you are not! Are you putting out something today that you're going to look forward to looking back at? Are you putting something out that in the resume of your life, that is going to write your eulogy when you're gone - which is going to introduce you forever... think about it! 23. Gathering all the "bad reviews" whatever that means for you and reviewing them all can be more constructive than reading the good reviews. Some will be worthless and spiteful, but others will teach you lessons that you failed to notice and are perhaps still causing you to underperform in your life, and you would very much prefer to learn from so you can have your best life. COMMENT IS TOO LONG FOR RUclips, WILL REPLY WITH REST.
24. "A man is never so masculine as he is when he holds his first child." He's talking about the Autobahn idea - mind, heart, spirit, loins. But I think that this is something only someone who's learned a good framework can say in the way Matthew intends it. When you don't have a healthy understanding and way to approach your life, you're going to have something else, and it's going to be a mix-n-match. Matt continues to say that the first 6 months after your first baby's born, triple-down on any instinct you have. 25. Un-brand yourself. That can be a way to make yourself a new, novel idea, good idea. Think about this and how it applies to you but also just in terms of your own self, not relating to people. Reinvention. 26. When you make a Socratic oath with yourself, you gain the power to say no whatever the temptation of the offer, and you can enjoy the buzz of having the courage to say no. Living in line with your identity. 27. One of the key tools in his book is, "when faced with the inevitable, get relative." How can you make an upside out of a perceived crisis? When and how we do that is one of the keys to having satisfaction in life. When do we do this, in every given situation? If you can get that right, it's great for you. 28. Matt's Oscar award show speech is iconic, worth listening to. Your future self in 10 years - chase that! And ask what your future self you say to your current self? 29. Being able to gracefully, elegantly, smoothly, be able to stop doing what's not primary and pay attention to what really matters when it really matters, is a beautiful ability to have or cultivate in life. Matt's wife Camila does this effortlessly. Doing this without hurting the people you're removing yourself from for your greater priority, for example, is one of the great things about his, it's the grace of it. 30. Rite of passages in life. It's the idea of the death of the father (figure). Carl Jung wrote about this, I think. I remember from years ago putting something into my journal. Yes, this is powerful. You will find that when your father figure is gone, you finally really grow up. This does not have to be an actual death, of course. 31. "Less impressed, more involved." This is about realising your place in the world, and what is mortal. Not to be too in awe of what seems so high up (success, fame, etc) or too judgemental of what is below. See the world at eye-level and you will be able to see further, wider, clearer. Quit half-arsing yourself, or doing things to just get along. Reflecting and connecting with mortality gives this fresh and profound perspective, and many wise people have said it is essential to remember death. 32. Think about how you can be more kind and true to your future self, and how you can start making some more choices that you really put your all into and you can accept responsibility for, whether good or bad, and say, "yup, that's on me!" 33. If you're overly impressed with [insert], you can't be truly connected with that relationship, person, life, etc. If you hold your partner on a pedestal, it's unfair. If you put them in an immortal bubble of being a superhuman, it's not fair to them. And then what happens in the reflection of their eyes? Then they may see us the same way, and you're both too impressed to be actually involved. 34. 5things we should all eliminate to live a better life? 1. Stop hanging out with those people that bring out only your most banal self. 2. Places that have bad effects or affect you negatively. Quit trying to make that place work. 35. Start deconstructing success, not just problems. When things are going well, you've finally caught a groove, put pen to paper or look down and start dissecting. What are you doing? There's some science to satisfaction and we don't just get there by dissecting our failures and when we're in a rut. 36. Tee yourself up for green lights. This really can be as simple as putting the coffee in the filter machine the night before so you don't have to endure that groggy, grudging little misery of having to find the coffee or get it. Or deal with the regret of having not done it the night before (or never bloody doing it). Sometimes it's hard to make your coffee when you haven't had your coffee. DELAYED GRATIFICATION IS SUCH A GIFT. Fucking enjoy it! Love it, use it! Do the work now, and know you'll be so glad you did in the future! 37. Green light, Yellow light, Red light. Think about the green n yellow, those contain powerful metaphors and advice and structures for life. 38. Fame and success. It's fickle, a mistress not a wife, and it's not all we really want. We want to be relevant. But what do we want to be relevant for? We need to ask ourselves that question. If you chase fame and success, and disregard certain integrity, and being as true to yourself as you can to yourself - that's short money. Webster definition circa 1828: "The favorable or prosperous termination of any thing attempted; a termination which answers the purpose intended; properly in a good sense, but often in a bad sense." (there is more) [webstersdictionary1828.com/Dictionary/success](webstersdictionary1828.com/Dictionary/success) 39. Having an overwhelming need to feel the result in your grasp, to feel significant, can be unhealthy. Try to understand that there is no reach achieving. Life is a verb, not a destination. Matt rephrases his perspective into, "well, keep achieving in the pursuit of the unachievable, and make steps." I heard similar advice: "aim for perfection, but settle for excellence." Sometimes we might feel insignificant if we don't achieve or accomplish, and that may be a good motivation/feeling or a bad one. Sometimes, you need to just sit still and/or stay in your perpetual motion. "Don't miss the process for the clenching seek of the result. Don't let the result tell you, "Ah, now I'm significant." Being too result-oriented can cause you to no longer feel a sense of significance or alignment to your identity. 40. 3 truths that you leave behind to the world: 1) Value values. 2) Make a sense of humour your default emotion. 3) Remember that you will have thousands of crises in your life and most of them will never happen. 41. Matt's definition of greatness? "Greatness is pursuing that. Staying in the race, committing to the chase to be your better self, be better families, communities, civilisations, and people. America's promise, our country's promise is opportunity and greatness. We're not ever going to arrive. The topsy-turvy times that we're in right now, culture revolution, we're not gonna come out of this and go, "Oh, now we've found perfect justice." No. But as long as we keep evolving, as long as we got an ascension, that's called evolution. Stay in the race, commit to the chase. And that's greatness. It's staying in the process of the chase. 42. Buy his book. I haven't read it, but from what Lewis mentioned about how it's written, it'll be very valuable and very good reading. I bought an autobiography of Billy Connolly in a bookshop during travel once, and have gained beautiful and wonderful insights, perspectives and wisdom from it. A book written well, with good stories and storytelling, will teach you many things.
When you read Matthew’s book and learn how he was raised and what his life before Hollywood was like, it makes sense. He had a grounded childhood with trials and tribulations. He wasn’t born with parents in Hollywood, they were blue collar. Since then he has made good choices, taken risks and took time to really live and understand life. He’s definitely a great role model!
I honestly thought Matthew McCanaughey was attractive and now he is even more so, I hope more well known 'rich and famous' people have similar priorities. Keeping the mind on the long term and reputable goal is very important and it was nice to hear two successful men truly show what it is made of and converse about it. This interview was very enlightening and I appreciate that it was posted. Thanks Lewis!!!
I have noticed a trend of Hollywood celebrities dabbling in the New Age sector. I guess when they are not able to make movies the next best thing is telling others how they should be living and I am weary of that, because what do millionaire actors know about the ordinary man's struggles? However I love the warmth of Matthew. He is a deep soul and I think he manages to connect to people. I will be checking out his other content, thanks Lewis.
This man has earned every ounce of my respect in less than 24 hours. I have always been a fan and for him to maintain his values, beliefs and family... Those Texans when raised right...GOLD!!!
THIS is NOT Southern wisdom; THIS is McConaughey wisdom. Southerners are NOT raised to think and feel the way McConaughey thinks and feels. THIS is unique to him. He took some of what his dad gave him BUT he changed it a hell of a lot. AS he will admit himself, he does NOT beat his wife up and then make love. He does NOT beat his son so he's bleeding.McConaughy is NOT the South. He was born in Texas so he has some traits innate to Texans, as opposed to the South, BUT what makes him uniquely McConaughey, above and beyond being a Texan, is the thoughts & feelings & deeds, he has chosen & worked on & created within his mind and heart and soul SO that they are in alignment. The key word is alignment AND the South does not have its heart & soul & mind in alignment; ergo, its NEVER ending pain & suffering.
I never wanted to be rich and famous... I dislike publicity. That is part of my testimony and proof that I am not doing this for myself, but for my children.
I think it s not just Matthew, sometimes, It is the script. I do personally like how Matthew McConaughey is so down to earth he is. I do also, like that he stood by his decision to not anymore Rom-Com's! He stood by his principals!
Consider consequences of wrong actions. Choosing to make better choices will prevent most negative consequences, & get better results. Look to the Lord, the Word of God, & His Spirit to guide you, rather than listen to the loud voices of the deceived & angry. MAGA/KAG! TRUMP 2020!
@@evianwahter ask yourself. Ask those whose opinions you think and feel are important. Ask those people who you don’t always agree with too. Hear what each have to say and then decide what is important to you and feels like the right answer for you. Neat. What a genius. What a visionary. Ya gotta wonder how much people thinking these little sayings are so wise and genius, and reposting them everywhere helps these folks make more money. Don't take my comments as an insult, just know I think your already know these things. You do not need someone else telling you this stuff. You have already figured it out. Give yourself some credit.

Lewis...... You´re an amazing human being. I feel very emotional and grateful to anyone trying to help by sharing hope and wisdom and you´re just remarkable at that. We need this kind of things. A lot of people think this kind of subjects are irrelevant and that we all need to work and forget the rest, but unfortunately if we do that we hold insecurities and fears inside, we never grow and we are never happy. So thank you!!
Lewis, you ask phenomenal and deep questions and always give your guests the opportunity to talk. It's about them, the way an interview should be, while we quietly learn about you.
Great interview. Loved hearing Matthew talk about how much he cares about living his best life, his introspective moments, and simply, 'how he sees it.' Right on (Right on, Right on.).
I’ve watched the majority of his interviews on his book and this one is my favorite. Thank you, Lewis, for the gift that this conversation is to all of us.
Personal responsibility, honorable soul, learning along the way. Matthew says it as he’s growing. Admirable character. Cares for those around him, and our world. Still can see him helping during Katrina. A visual that is associated with his real path in life, and what counts. Thanks.
This was amazing! I always loved Matthew McConaughey but he has really become wise and we can learn so much from his experiences. Life is finite. Be careful of the choices you make in life and remember that fame is fleeting and success is all in the long money!
This was one of the best interviews you've conducted Lewis. Thank you so much for it. Thank you Matthew for your pure wisdom and care - I took down a lot of notes! Much love.
Not only is this guy a great actor, he is a great human being. When I saw him in the movie "A Time To Kill" I knew he would be one of the greatest actors around. Being from Texas I love his accent and down-to-earth persona. MM keep on doing what you're doing and being who you are. Much love to you & your family.
I like Matthew. He is always inspiring. I always sense that there is a deeper real part of him that steers his ship. I love and appreciate who he is! Also, he is always real - sharing himself in a real way as he engages in everyday life as we do and he makes that clear. Thank you Matthew McConaughy for sharing your true self with us.
I enjoy getting a man’s perspective on life. What a phenomenal interview! Lewis asks such phenomenal questions. I always watch with pen and paper! Thank you Davids☀️ Identity, values and responsibility. Wow!
I had to flee the country for safety...and I am in Australia doing the same thing, looking deep within and asking questions that force me to see the truth that was hidden out of fear. Out of something bad, something good is found. I am finding my strength, my voice and life.
What attracts me to Mathew is his honesty. So many today have lost that with verbal gymnastics that muddle the waters because they want to add more to a kernal of truth that is not there. So refreshing!!
Thanks Lewis for sharing this Matthew McConaughey interview with us. Mathew, thanks for your generosity, your book, words wisdom & encouragement to make me a better person. A work-in-progress, I have to commit and continue showing up in order to make a difference. More blessings to you both and your families. stay safe!
Always have enjoyed Matthew’s intensity as an actor. I started listening to him through his lovely wife Camila, who posts health/wellness videos with his hilarious and very wise mother. Interesting interview, I will read his book.
I love Lewis interview style. Mathew is everything a expect and more. Authentic and rare especially in his industry, you can tell he does the real work and continues to do it. You have love , respect and be humble by him. Sending love to you both.❤🙏🏿
I love how great of an interviewer you are and absolutely love how honest and raw Mathew is. I just finished his book and can honestly say it was the truest “tell” of an actors life that I have ever read. ❤️ I always enjoyed his movies and his work HOWEVER this book has actually made me “respect” him. He is more real and grounded and spiritually in tune then I ever knew. His wisdom is to be taken seriously because it is well earned. Here is a man who could have taken his opportunities an just wasted away like so many others that have come. I’m so impressed! Great interview! 👍❤️🙏
Matthew is an example of greatness! Also an example of what anyone including “celebrities” can be ONCE they choose to stay true to their highest path. 💫🙏🏻🌹
I’ve seen many interviews with Matthew McConaughey and an interviewer, but this one is by far the most fluid and genuine
Thank you!
I like this guy. He is unlike a lot of celebrities. He’s more grounded, more true to himself. He seems balanced. Not a puppet. Refreshing
Yes I totally agree
Agree to that! Seems a cool guy. Some others in Hollywood who I also thought were, seemed to have drank the coolaid..but him and mark Wahlberg seem like real/good dudes
With age comes wisdom, understanding and humility which is a beautiful thing.

19:08 - "Too many options can make a tyrant of any of us."
19:21 - "We're all connected but nobody's with each other."
Just read you comment as at the very moment the actor spoke the words options etc
He’s a philosopher. Some gems here: the idea that holding someone on a pedestal prevents a true relationship rings so true!!

We are all connected but nobody is with each other. GOOSEBUMPS
We're connected via social networks, but the most disconnected society in history. We likely spend more time posting comments, like this, to total strangers than we do cultivating relationships with people next to us.
Often see people eating lunch together that spend more time on their phones than talking and interacting with one another.
Lewis is a great interviewer, and the flow with Matthew was spot on.
he made it easy for me 😁
Lewis, you put a lot of thought into your questions and you’re a great listener. Way to be!
M L, I bet you're one of Lewis' countless screen names. Anyway, whatever. Take care!
@Austin Myslinski if you wanted to know more about me, all you needed to do was ask. ☺️
@@AriaLeeCangemi Well, Lewis, you're a great guy!
I enjoyed this interview with Matthew! I felt a loss of drive after turning 50, now I focus on who I am becoming as I reach for my dreams. Chasing a goal feels so empty without the intention of how can I serve and leave something behind for others follow! ❤
I totally relate rene.
This guy is awesome and not full of himself. He’s confident but everything doesn’t revolve around him. Excellent!!
*Keep adapting and change until u r happy, but always be present* 🙏
Absolutely!!
So many pearls from Matthew
I will get my Greenlight when it intended for me to get it. I have FAITH. I am learning how to love myself... it has been a process for sure.
So glad to hear that from you, we'll keep at it! Thank you so much for listening!
Just half way through this interview, and I will definitely say that I fully appreciate the complete and honest man that Matthew is revealing himself to be. I thank God and everyone that had a part in sharing this.
most of all he is honest to himself, and thats what we all need to be more within ourselves.
Matthew is the epitome of integrity. Thank you both for all you do.
Came from the Gary V interview and this is unbelievable - you actually let him speak instead of constantly cutting him off, driving the conversation towards things completely unrelated to his ideas and rambling about sports. Truly remarkable
glad you enjoyed it!
@Chris London Yeah he can learn to wait his turn when speaking
@Chris London Lol. That is so true!
Lewis is awesome ❤️ I love his input
They’re completely different interviewers. With completely different agendas. Gary’s an entrepreneur that wants to know specifics on his business ventures.
Be more grateful that he was on both, rather than degrading Gary V.
I have listen to Matthew when we found out my mother died of cancer in 2014. i turn to his motivational speeches at least once a week. My dream is to shake the mans hand before i die an say thank you! Thank you, for your words Matthew!
Matthew talking to his 50 year old self almost makes me cry. Beautiful self talk.

Great stuff.
glad you enjoyed it, he inspired me as well!
He's from the South 👍
I have a hard time looking past my skepticism of nything or anyone that comes out of Hollywood. With that said he really did come off with some good old down to earth integrity. Hard to believe, but it was convincing.
@@bobbiellison4315 definitely share your skepticism. He seems to be an exception to the rule in Hollywood. Of course I don't know him so that's just a hunch. At least we can say he doesn't spout a bunch of left-wing nonsense that's the norm in Hollywood. That's an accomplishment in itself.
Actually if you listen to a lot of actor interviews most of them are highly Introspection. Now in politics not so much lol
I like how he DOES not bore you at ALL.
I love how u actually are activily listening to Mathew and letting him speak. Love this interview
I do not watch too many videos twice, but this is an exception. I learned so much from this chat. Mind Blown.
Thank you so much for your feedback 🙂
He is a story teller for sure! I want to curl up on his lap, like a little kid and listen.
📝 MY FULL UNEDITED NOTES! (in one sitting, finished at 4:12 am, after 2 hours!)
It's good to have a good acuity for this and to have a quick trigger, that will help you keep the misalignments minor and not turning into train-wrecks
8. "When we're really rocking, we have an Autobahn between our head and our heart and our spirit."
9. Having to calibrate and recalibrate many times is natural. Check back in with yourself and let memory catch up and have a Socratic dialogue with yourself, and end up forgiving stuff, and then saying "Enough's enough this other stuff. You're the only person I'm stuck with, [surname], so we better figure out how to get along."
This is a prudent penance I am taking to get to know myself and listen to myself."
I know what I'm chasing."
21. 18:51 for talk about millennials and Matt's advice relating to them
32. Think about how you can be more kind and true to your future self, and how you can start making some more choices that you really put your all into and you can accept responsibility for, whether good or bad, and say, "yup, that's on me!"
Webster definition circa 1828: "The favorable or prosperous termination of any thing attempted; a termination which answers the purpose intended; properly in a good sense, but often in a bad sense." (there is more) [webstersdictionary1828.com/Dictionary/success](webstersdictionary1828.com/Dictionary/success)
You two guys share the same type of realness and charisma. I'm glad to fall asleep listening to you two chat along... 😴
You're welcome, thank you for being here 🧡
I have noticed a trend of Hollywood celebrities dabbling in the New Age sector.

Mr Matthew you are so unique because you appreciate values for as an amazing Actor like you 🇺🇸❤️

@@evianwahter ask yourself. Ask those whose opinions you think and feel are important. Ask those people who you don’t always agree with too. ctdali how can I find that which you speak of please? Mathews Mom sounds like a hoot from what he has said in one of the interviews he did lately.
@@NurseJacqueline I follow his wife on FB , her name is Camila Alves and she does short videos with his mom-and it is very entertaining.
@@ctdali thank you! I’ll go find her now! Have a great day!
I love Lewis interview style.
Mathew is everything a expect and more. Authentic and rare especially in his industry, you can tell he does the real work and continues to do it. You have love , respect and be humble by him. Sending love to you both.❤🙏🏿
Lewis and Matthew, thank you! Very “grounding” conversation. The whole world isn’t nuts after all. (Ordering the book for my kids). Love you guys 💕
so glad you enjoyed it!
