I read Greenlights and it was good! Definitely not for everyone but wholly unapologetic and honest, which I appreciate! Its too bad it was released in the politically charged Covid ridden year of 2020. I would really like to read the ending which Matthew would have written had it been a 2016 sort of year. I imagine it not being an ending but a challenge for a new beginning not only for himself but the person reading. Something more WET SHIT than the dry shit of pacifying feelings. Though I get there's great good in being thoughtful. Maybe in the second edition he can add another chapter?

I am 61 years old and, it's only recently, that I can say I am definitely my own hero. I could be a better person, of course. But I'm a survivor and I love myself and I respect all I've been through and how I've come out better for it on the proverbial other side. Give yourself time and always look for the good in yourself.

I was sent this url today from someone i actually look up to and it was tesrs im filled with now and i dunno yet why, i jus know that this touch me and not every emotion gets understanding but its not the point right now. So im jus going to breathe and feel this and not bog down in the why's . Somthing in living in the moment seems most relivent to me at this time and is the message i believe is being omitted to me most.

I resonated with what he said about taking away all the things in your life that you don’t like, and you’ll accidentally find what it is that you want in life. During the quarantine that’s exactly what happened. I hated not distracting myself by going out to eat, or go with friends, or to the movies. I was stuck at home with my thoughts and I was angry at myself for not doing anything all day. Slowly I started to narrow down what I wanted to do with my life, and since then my life has changed. My mentality is at rest now that I know what I want to go after. I’m no longer stuck chasing the American dream my parents told me I should want. I’m doing what I want and spending time every day to go after it. The work won’t pay off any time soon but I know it’s the consistency that makes a difference! Find your something!!

I have never idolized famous or prosperous people. They are human not someone I have never met that I go crazy over seeing or hearing. They put their pants on one leg at a time just like me if I spend my entire life chasing my dreams it will never be a wasted life. I will always strive to be my own hero. I do look at some like this man and say you are a great human thank you. Rise above it all and feed your positive side constantly. Be your hero and never stop writing another chapter.

As an investing enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. I do have a significant amount of capital that is required to start up but, I have no idea what strategies and direction I need approach to help me make decent returns
If you're in it for the Long haul, treat investing like buying Gas. Buy only the good stuff. Buy regularly despite the price. And know over time it's sure to go up. >>smiles

I think the best thing to figure out and accept Is that you could do everything right have things go wrong or come out wrong. That way you won't be let down as hard it'll make it at least a tiny bit easier to pick yourself up.

How can you be your own hero when you are chronically ill and alone? I spent my entire life working, volunteering and being everyone else's 'help' in their time of need; now that I am sick (as a result of medical malpractice) those I always helped have disappeared from my life. If I had a chance to get back on my feet, maybe I could live out my retirement being useful instead of suffering. There are times when people are in hopeless situations (through no fault of their own) and they need a 'hero.' The fact is, as an older single female, I seem to mean nothing to society (despite all the good I accomplished during my younger years.)
You are an unsung hero. You know the good you’ve done. You worked at things you must have believed in. Even as you suffer today you are being a hero in suffering. Most heros are not seen or rewarded by society.
I see you..I do not know you but I know the feelings, and you seem like such a light in life. My core hope is that all the kindness, all the pain, all the struggle it amounts to something ..hopefully this TOO shall pass and it is just another thing that adds to your power and teaches you..I’m sorry you are suffering and hope you are better soon.
