Priscylla Woolley words are powerful. Plus his sincerity is evident and his confidence is pure not arrogant. It’s as though he has traveled to marvelous places and wants to tell everyone about his journey because of how meaningful it has been to him.
Circling back around after listening to this about a year and a half ago, just shared this very insightful discussion to my brother who wants to be a minimalist and move into the van life. At 18:00, I just offered him this perspective, one of the many nuggets Jay shared. "Detachment is not that you own nothing. Detachment is that nothing owns you." "To me, that summarizes detachment in a way it's not usually explained. Usually people see detachment as being away from everything. Actually the biggest detachment is being close to everything, and not letting it consume and own you."
In one of the interviews, the Dalai Lama was asked why he used a computer when he shouldn't be leading a materialistic life and he answered about detachment. Such wisdom.
wow dude, this might be the best one yet... at least for me. He spoke so eloquently, you can tell his mind is clear af. I think I speak for everyone when I say I learned something deeper in this one. Tom is the man!

I’ve watched several interviews on this channel now, which I just discovered recently. But I must say Jay Shetty is one of the most intelligent and eloquent interviewees I’ve seen on this channel. Especially at his age, his wisdom seems boundless. Very inspirational character, and I’m intrigued to learn more about his approach to the mind and life.
“Detachment is not that you own nothing, it means nothing owns you.” Wonderful principle. Not being attached to anything will give us the liberty to enjoy life to the fullest.
Best example & the greatest inspiration is the Greatest teacher that ever lived Jesus Christ just follow his teachings rather than follow a monk & you will find true happiness!!

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly
Investors should exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.
This is superb! information, as a noob it gets quite difficult to handle all of this and staying informed is a major cause, how do you go about this are you a pro investor ?
Through closely monitoring the performance of my portfolio, I have witnessed a remarkable growth of $508k in just the past two quarters. This experience has shed light on why experienced traders are able to generate substantial returns even in lesser-known markets. It is safe to say that this bold decision has been one of the most impactful choices I have made recently.
So before I typed this I had to take a deep breath... Wow. This is my first encounter watching Jay in an interview and my gosh, he just oozes clarity. Thank you for this great interview and for the show.
Most successful people always seek the ideas and experience of financial professionals that help tackle issues on wealth management and growth but claim to attain their success alone
To attain financial growth, You need a high degree of knowledge and experience from a professional to make your goals a reality. Get a professional to walk you to Success.

their conversations together are always so damn good, but I realized this because they're both very very active listeners. I feel that when you give time people to complete their thought and actually listen in between the lines of what the speaker is saying, is where we see that the conversation can propel forwards with not only meaning but great great impact. Hands down amazing.
I’m about 19 minutes in, and I’m just loving Jay Shetty more and more. What a fascinating, incredible human being. I love how he explains things in a way that makes sense to me. Very inspiring.
I think Tom you are one of the best interviewers out there, you actually listen and focus to what the guest is saying and I feel that you're passionate and interested in what you do. Thank you for that
I just wanna say that this video I watched when I was in 10th grade...helped me. Changed me. I am now graduated and in the US. NAVY. The key words that helped me that I can still remember was "Quiet your mind". It helped me get through scary things I didn't think I could do.. I can't thank this video enough. It gave me inspiration and brought me to activate things in my life that I never thought about before.. I hope this awakens things within others in the way it awakened things in me.. I just wanna say "Thank you Tom Bilyeu and Jay Shetty for this."
When people they offer an advice and try to help people, they don't need an interview to show who they are, did u hear all the conversation???? So many takeaways here! Of all the interviews you have done, I connected the most with what Jay Shetty has to say. Hard to pick a favorite thing about this interview, but his goal answers the question that always burns in my mind about how to reach people, but especially the young people. I have a 16, 18 and 20 year old finding their way in a world of distractions and addictions all around them, while asking who they are, what they want and what they have to offer this world. Thank you, thank you, thank you for introducing me to Jay Shetty btw, watched this with my 18 year old son and he watched start to finish, no words until the end ;) Excellent!

I definitely learned and was seriously entertained. I've never heard of Jay but I was captivated with the passion both Tom and Jay showed. I could have listened to them talk to each other all night! This was the first time I took notes! Thanks IT! that was great, loved it!
Took notes too! I decided to become a student and really get schooled on these principles and beliefs of the guests Tom has on his show. He is truly helping others get out of the Matrix. I am studying with Tom on the daily.
my mind just blown watching this video... how can someone has so much clarity about his thoughts....it takes huge amount of practice but it looks so natural in case of you...love and respect...
Despite all appreciation for Jay Shetty, I just want to mention that the interviewer was really good as well. He asked very interesting questions at the right time and drew understandable conclusions. Impressive.
22:52 "your passion is for you, your purpose is for others." ... "your passion makes you happy, but when you use your passion to make a difference in someone's life...that's a service. that's a purpose." 🙏
Honestly, I've been watching this channel for a while now and love seeing people I recognise pop up on it, always insightful, always inspiring. But nothing has ever resonated with me more than this interview, Jay constantly mentioned things I have been thinking about so long and hard for so much time now; I'm at university so still stuck in the gears of the education system but man did this give me hope. Couldn't have found someone who seems to align with what I want to find more than Jay does. Genuinely so excited to find out more.
I Love the analogy of a disturbing song being like those self-defeating 'voices'/thoughts/invisible beliefs. We are on the same team, to help shift/elevate education through entertainment. Much love and thanks to both of you for sharing your energy and enthusiasm!
This guy literally changed my life! I asked myself if I wanted to be here in 10, 15, 20 years time and the answer was no! Now I do what I love every day and I left my boring desk job 😘

Ikigai. Finding my purpose and passion. Intersection of four areas. What am I good at? What do I love? What does the world need? How do I get paid for it?" Finding the intersection, you make your passion your purpose. I find my skill- set and I engage other people to become better at it. So I am becoming better at what I am good at, and I am using it to help other people. Thats self- awareness. The other part is, I enjoy helping people. I enjoy serving people. I have to notice what I enjoy about that, and what I enjoy helping people with.
He is so wise beyond his years. I love the Charles Cooley quote he shared, “Today, I am not what I think I am, I am not what you think I am, I am what I think you think I am.” Powerful insight, very uplifting message. 1. Being exposed to unique experiences & role models. 2. Take it seriously, shadow, network, observing & learning. 3. Yes, or No? Is this lifestyle for me? Consider the process & not just the result.
When I take a break from work, because my eyes are sore, Impact Theory is my first stop. Wow! This man is so clear and beautiful, like stunningly beautiful energy. I guess a few years spent with monks would do that to a person? In 2015, I sat in the staffroom and looked at people 10, or 20 years ahead of me and quickly started hatching an exit plan and left a few months later. It's a powerful question to consider. I couldn't say this back then, but now I can say I have 'head, heart and hand' in check. I'm keen to buy a copy of the decanted Bhagavad Gita, so consider the first copy sold already. OOooooh positively impacting a billion people, I like the sound of that. I'm so excited for the two of you to synergise your visions in a practical way. I can just see it! F.Y.I I just learnt and was entertained at the same time.
Great energy flowing from your comment Thalia Kate. I could just feeeeeeeeeeeeeel it. HE DOES OWN AN ASTONISHING MIND NOURISHING ENERGY. CAN I GET AN AMEN TO THAT?
The first copy of the Bhagavad Gita sold. Hilarious. You can actually get a pdf or a physical copy given to you at any airport in the world. You have probably turned it down when the Hare Krishnas have tried to hand you one. The Gita is not read, it is absorbed and studied. Good luck!
a few years with monks can teach you how astute methods and cunning tactics of persuasion they can use to fool others , with sweet words and feeble promisies
I just have taken the time to watch it fully and...what I have realized in this period I just can't get by without sharing...so first I would say this video came on my way a long time ago but I didn't watch it but today I did it on purpose because I have seen the title"quiet your mind" and that's because I did it because I have been feeling the need of this last couple of months and I have been trying different methods to aware of my self and my mind and in my journey what I have come to realize 🍀🍀🍀 I found those things in jay's saying in this podcast and I felt happy for jay because I knew what he was talking about is actually I have realized by myself and I felt something good because it came on my way divinely exactly at the perfect point.
I was waiting for this one so impatiently. Saw story on instagram, it got me exited. But, the thing is; I was expecting the episode to be great, but it even overcame my expectations! Jay is amazing, and Tom really knows to get the best out of interview! Once again, a lot to learn, a lot to model. I can't find enough of "great" people in my surroundings, that's why I love this show and Tom!

Circling back around after listening to this about a year and a half ago, just shared this very insightful discussion to my brother who wants to be a minimalist and move into the van life. At 18:00, I just offered him this perspective, one of the many nuggets Jay shared.
"Detachment is not that you own nothing. Detachment is that nothing owns you."
"To me, that summarizes detachment in a way it's not usually explained.
Ok, let's say yes. How you will leave until old age ???

Love hearing that! Glad he resonated with you!
Thanks for your comment man. All of your content resonates with me, because it's unique. The presence you have in your interviews is unmatched to be honest. Also have to applaud your entrepreneurshipial attitude towards what you do. Impact Quotes is ingenious
The host is a very good listener.
One of the most incredible episodes, making education and wisdom go viral, I’ll join you both on this journey.

I've read something similar. Paraphrasing: in a 2 people interaction, there are actually 6 people: the person you think I am, the person I think I am, the person I actually am, for both people.
that's cool i it agree mixes me up but once you understand it it makes perfect sence
I'm highly recommending the video by Jason Silva where he's talking about this quote a bit deeper. Talk about the power of "performing" in youtube videos, Jason's interpretation will mesmerise you :-)
I get bored fast watching speakers speak however, I couldn’t stop watching this! You guys make a great team, loved the questions and loved the answers. Super dope, now on my way to watch more of Jay Shetty. Thank you 🙏🏼

So much wisdom? Yeah, that's because he's literally copying other people's quotes. Very wise indeed.

I’ve actually been looking into advisors lately, the news I’ve been seeing in the market hasn’t been so encouraging. who’s the person guiding you?
Do you mind sharing info on the adviser who assisted you? I’m 40 now and would love to grow my stock portfolio and plan my retirement.

So before I typed this I had to take a deep breath... Wow. This is my first encounter watching Jay in an interview and my gosh, he just oozes clarity. Everyone has there own unique style and I very much respect this, Jay style just seems to calm me mentally and make me think about my why, about my purpose. Thank you for this great interview and for the show.
Love that! I think a lot of people share your feelings on Jay.
*Jay Shetty is such a blessing to me. Success has no shortcuts, but there are ways to go about it; they are below👇*
Most successful people always seek the ideas and experience of financial professionals that help tackle issues on wealth management and growth but claim to attain their success alone
To attain financial growth, You need a high degree of knowledge and experience from a professional to make your goals a reality. Get a professional to walk you to Success.
Oh, sorry for the late response. I engage in various investments through the guides of a highly skilled Investment Professional and have so far achieved over $500k in return. The idea of getting a professional has been great for me, it has shaped my finances over the years; my retirement is looking good 🥂
To reach out to my Investment Professional *(Diana Alexandra Hunts)* ; do quick internet research where you can write her, research her full name above. Give her a try and walk to success.
There’s no limit to what you can achieve if you put your mind to it. You can do it.

their conversations together are always so damn good, but I realized this because they're both very very active listeners. I feel that when you give time people to complete their thought and actually listen in between the lines of what the speaker is saying, is where we see that the conversation can propel forwards with not only meaning but great great impact. Hands down amazing.
All the Impact Theory shows are particularly amazing, but Jay really reached the depth of my soul...

He clearly does his research, even his intros.

wow..look at Jay's face...how glowing and charming it is...its all because of "POSITIVE AURA" he spreads...
Thank you, thank you, thank you for introducing me to Jay Shetty
btw, watched this with my 18 year old son and he watched start to finish, no words until the end ;) Excellent!
Love that! So glad that Jay added that kind of value to you and your son!
I' really like him
Tom is GREAT because he doesn't listen to reply, he listen to understand. And then, after undestanding, he asks that incredible clever question.

This might be the most genuine person I’ve ever listened to
Be honest ladies, you are mesmerized by his good looks, his eyes and his personality. I forgot his voice!

He is so wise beyond his years. I love the Charles Cooley quote he shared, “Today, I am not what I think I am, I am not what you think I am, I am what I think you think I am.” Powerful insight, very uplifting message.

Love that! Thanks for taking the time to write this. Comments like this are so incredible!
First time I've listened to Jay and yes, it's wonderful - clear and compassionate...I'm so grateful
Amazing episode, Jay Shetty just has the vibes about him where you’re drawn to him, he really simplifies things. Great episode Tom💯
The sound and appearance of Jay allways attracted me
I was waiting for this one so impatiently. Saw story on instagram, it got me exited.
But, the thing is; I was expecting the episode to be great, but it even overcame my expectations!
