It is cheaper to buy the wands in the auction house (AH), where you can buy them for 7 silver or less. Training tailoring and enchanting are more expensive.

You choose Dwarf for Desperate Payer and Stone Form, _not_ Fear Ward. Fear ward is a raid thing that will not help you much in leveling. Standard Priest builds might not apply because it's Hardcore. If you are new to the Priest class your first 2 points go into Healing Focus. And if you hate wanding take a NE Priest, Starshard's is great for leveling and Elunes Grace can be used between two shields when you are in a though spot and the mighty underrated eat&drink while in Shadowmeld. ;)
I agree. Personally I think every Priest should by default get healing focus, improved renew, reduced magic damage and finally holy nova at level 20. Then do whatever the heck you want with the rest.
I think this is more of a general Priest guide rather than a guide specific to Hardcore. You talk a lot about what a Priest can bring to groups and dungeon groups in particular. But Hardcore doesn't allow you to group EXCEPT for dungeons, and even then you can only attempt each dungeon once. So basically, being useful in groups will only play a very small part in your overall levelling..
The HC addon prevents grouping except for dungeons only if they level solo but there are still duo and trio options. Also Blizzard HC servers won't have all these restrictions so grouping up will always be a large part of HC.

Priest is a great HC class. Get that wand ready.
Survivabilty should be 5 star. Shield and their heals plus damage makes them the best class without a pet.

This isn’t the case anymore for official there will be a lot of grouping
