Man I'm so glad you use actual footage of the SNES version of the games (even if they're probably emulated it's not as bad as others) as supposed to other channels who use emulated footage that has been boosted in resolution. So tired of seeing people in comments talking about, "how amazing the graphics still look to this day" when they are being shown HD footage and not what the games actually looked like. It's cool if someone wants to appreciate the art direction of the retro games but of course a game is going to look good when it's been supersampled to have the jaggies removed.
Minish cap is really good too has the same feel and a huge world. I avoided it for so long then played it and was surprised they use alot of the N64 sounds and that plus snes quality graphics yea it's good.

Correction: the "NEW ___" naming scheme got it's first use by Nintendo with the "New Famicom" that they released in the early 90s after the release of the Super Famicom. This updated model had composite output and had removable controllers, a step up from the original. The name would be used again in the future.

It's fairly apparent that Nintendo is stuck in a creative rut with a number of their IPs: such as Star Fox and F-Zero, especially when you look back all the way to the SNES and N64. While them bringing back a formerly abandoned idea for Metroid was surprising, it does leave me wondering what's next for it other than Prime 4. Then again, I feel this applies to a number of Japanese long-running IPs. The creative/innovation juice must be in shorter supply due to the corporate pressuring.
To be fair, "Star Fox Zero" was quite creative aside from being another story reboot. It just didn't work well for the majority of players. As for "Metroid," have you forgotten about the upcoming "Metroid Dread"?
I think one idea the reason the third Zelda game was called 'A Link to the Past' was that they originally had the idea of Link travelling through time to the future which was all sci-fi/space themed.
We dodged a bullet with The New Legend of Zelda. Also, you can't just drop that mention of Adventure of Link without bringing up the Gigaleak and the many sidescrolling Link graphics found there.
I remember as a teenager in a 2000 prodigy was such a big deal. I'd hear their music in so many different movie soundtracks and I'd hear it used in RUclips videos like smash Kingdom and obviously I'd hear their music on the radio all the time. I remember at a former job I used to have well we got bored a lot so we would take turns playing music and I had my music playing and prodigy came on and it seemed like nobody else there really knew who they were which maybe kind of disappointed because they were so big during a 2000s when I was a teen. But I guess the younger generation even though some of these coworkers were only younger by maybe 5 years and others by 10, they just didn't know about it. Or just a coincidence and it just happened to people who just weren't aware of it for some reason

The 90s were when anime was juuust starting to break out in the west, but I almost feel like the references were lost because the localizers themselves didn't get them, lol. Plus SMRPG was one of the many SNES RPGs localized by Ted Woolsey, whose translations are equally notorious yet charming for taking liberties.

The drummer from prodigy taught me and some of my friend from high school how to play rugby. Should mention I grew up in Western PA. He was dating one of the high school kids super hot older sister. Their family was from GB and had moved to the US a year prior.

@@GitsuneG Well if you want to get technical, Pokemon has done that for the Mystery dungeon games with lot of people in the west assuming that the Pokemon Mystery dungeon games are THE Mystery dungeon games, even tho Mystery dungeon games are it's own series that started in 1993 that just got a Pokemon spin off...

if Persona was meant to supercede SMT, they would have made Nocturne in the first place, or Strange Journey after P3, or IV or V.
There's a difference between using it as a reference point and saying SMT was just a stepping stone, which it's clearly not as SMT IV was the strongest selling Atlus title until Persona 5.
