@@shelbyh.griggs1242 I preferred the AMC clear. Didn’t really care for the smokiness of the anti-glare protectors. Love seeing it as clear as possible; glare from the sun has never been a problem for me personally.
@@CaliforniaPhantom thanks for that, I messed up the OEM one and need to replace it and was considering anti glare, BUT agree the OEM one hasn't been bad so will stick to a clear replacement.
@@CaliforniaPhantom Interesting. Ours came with what appears to be an actual screen protector and then had a heavier protection sheet over that. When I grabbed the tab to remove the protection sheet it peeled off what I thought was a screen protector underneath. I believe it was Advexure that mentioned this in a video as having happened to them too, but of course I saw that after I ripped more than I should of off mine. Anyway, I now need a new protector on a brand new controller.
Yes, I agree with Wayne Ladd. Use the upper drop down feature to access signal strength. Great video Phantom, looking forward to seeing future SmartController videos of yours!
Definitely screwed up there; had no idea that it was a tap to bring that signal strength back of forth. It’s a learning curve with anything, so I definitely appreciate it.
Great video California Phantom! Lodi is a beautiful area, lots of history and not too far to the east are historical gold mining settlements. Thanks for sharing, loved the informative video!
Holy Crap! its bigger and brighter than my Typhoon H's ST16! Wow you can see it in the sunlight and it looks good. No broken sunshade to wrestle with. Anybody who makes any complaint about that thing is fuggin stupid and dont know what they got. Im sure some will whimp out about the weight and "Waaaaa its got a shoulder strap and wont fit in my pocket, Its the same as wearing a mask in the store and can I get some nachos and a case of pepsi and a Redbull and, Oh I cant breath, this mask is too heavy Grandma" :)
Absolutely: It should be under the remote control tab. Hit remote control matching and then press the little white button under the cover of the usb side of the drone itself. That’s on left depending how your looking at it of course. Hold that button down until lights flash and it should instantly pair. Let me know if that works
I know you found it already, but as you were pointing at the timer, height and vertical distance, your finger was a hair's breadth away from brining up (down, actually) signal strength bar. Understandable as much is different than DJI - It's the same as when you use the phone app, but I guess you got used to seeing that data on the remote screen. Ugh. Been waiting for my V2 SC since early August. Autel does this with literally every single release. Of everything. There is no improvement over 3+ years. Yeah.. small company blah blah blah. Even small companies can learn. Stop announcing products that aren't ready or build in time for delays. Do they really want the reputation they are getting known for?
Exactly. At some point they got to be better with announcements and bringing product to market. Your dead on the “getting use to seeing on the controller”, it was a new thing to turn it on and off. Got the maps working perfectly and signal is more than I need so I’m quite happy with the setup over the LiveDeck/field monitor. It’s just quicker and a more premium experience. Had a couple people say they prefer the OEM original controller, which I suppose I could understand, but the controls scroll wheel and visibility are just far better for composition. Very happy with the change. I actually sold my LiveDeck because I was that convinced. Hope that doesn’t bite me later because it was a V1 deck, but time will be the judge of that.
Hello friend, please see if you can guide me in the solution: I received my SMART RC V1 INTELLIGENT CONTROLLER to use in the EVO II PRO 6K; It turns out that the language only has traditional Chinese and there is no option for English or Portuguese (Brazil). Could you guide me on how to include the languages mentioned? Thank you and hug. Amarildo.
On the dashboard outside of the app. Next to the chrome app there is a settings gear looking app. Click on that. Then 4 down you will see what appears to be a globe icon. That’s your La gauges & input. Once you click on that you click the top option is select languages. From there you should be able to switch from Chinese to at the very least English. The other method is inside the Autel app. Under settings tab you’ll have: flight control that looks like a drone symbol. Visual that looks like an eye. Remote control that looks like remote. Image transmission that loooks like a picture and a triangle. Aircraft battery that looks like a box ontop of propellers. Then gimbal that looks like camera. The live that looks like RUclips symbol. Finally below that one is general. Click that and right below the software updates is select language. It’s literally the second to the last one. Last one is About. Second to the last one is select language. There you should have many more options to change language to your preferred language. I hope this helps.
The OG rugged bundle holds the smart controller. I’m in the process with a few companies to see about making a stand alone case for the smaller cases that don’t fit the controller.
Great Execution, The price is way too high, it would be interesting to know how much they actually spent producing this Smart controller, the price shouldn't be no more than $500.00 for this, if these companies wasn't so greedy they could get these units into more hands thus sell more drones, but greed wins over again & again, willing to bet it cost less than $200.00 to make these units, but whatever i digress, keep the nice informative videos coming
Oof I had no idea there were so few of them for the V1. At least I know how many screen protectors to request when I get that ironed out. The live deck and high nits field monitor isn’t a bad second solution given how much cheaper it is. This is a pretty niche expensive product.
Yepp, very unfortunate situation with the limited supply of V1 Smart Controllers. Unfortunately hundreds if not thousands of V1 owners who are left unable to add an SC to their ecosystem.

The OEM was meant for shipping film. If you enjoyed that film then the actual screen protector will be a massive improvement

You mentioned about no signal. Tap on top of screen for a drop down. Nice review. Only used mine like 3 times so far. Nice units

I appreciate it 🙌🏻 it’s motivation to keep making more.
Nice unit. Great for those who fly for a living or simply have deep pockets for the hobby.
Definitely a niche product.

Well done. It’s unfortunate Autel only made 500 for v1. I had one on pre order and seller called me to cancel order or hold a v2 for me.

There is a screen protector under the temporary one. Be careful to not remove it when you take of the first one.
